Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 1143 - 1140: Severing Saber Heart Intent

Previously on Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon...
Corey faces a devastating onslaught as the Heavenly Executor retaliates, nearly killing him with a single unseen strike that leaves a massive crater in its wake. Despite the assistance of Prima and Primus, who take control of Corey’s body to deflect lethal blows, the sheer speed and power of the Tribulation prove overwhelming for a mortal frame. Corey’s physical form is left shattered and unrecognizable after a series of rapid exchanges that bypass even his divine perception. Now grounded and coughing up fragments of his own organs, he stares up at the golden entity as it prepares for a final, decisive movement.

Even with the Heavenly Executor looming before him, Corey struggled to rise, though the simple act proved to be an immense challenge.

His fingers were a mess of burns and fractures, and his arms were riddled with deep lacerations and scorched flesh. Gaping holes punctured his torso in several spots, revealing glimpses of his internal organs through the wounds.

Corey wasn't the only one suffering; Prima had also sustained heavy damage.

Charred and broken sections of her form made Corey appear as though he were clad in a shattered, incomplete suit of dark glass, topped with a ruined helmet.

Despite the grizzly appearance of his injuries, they weren't fatal. Prima had prioritized the protection of Corey’s vital organs above all else.

He owed his life to her, and even now, she was busy regenerating her fractured components while simultaneously forcing Corey’s body to move.

She exerted direct control over his joints, bones, and musculature. Had Corey not possessed such a high tolerance for pain, this mechanical manipulation of his body would have caused him agonizing torture.

Another glob of blackened blood was coughed up by Corey.

The Heavenly Executor hoisted its lightning bolt with a velocity that far exceeded Corey’s perception, causing his survival instincts to flare violently.

He vanished from his position without a moment's delay.

The ground where Corey had been standing disintegrated instantly, replaced by a massive crater the size of a basketball court and as deep as a pond.

As debris and dust rained down, the Heavenly Executor tilted its head in a gesture of slight confusion.

Even though it hadn't utilized its full power or maximum speed, Corey should have been incapable of dodging that strike.

Slowly, it pulled its weapon from the earth and shifted its gaze toward a specific location... The Divine Kingdom of the God of Living Constructs.

There, it found Corey, drenched in sweat and gasping for air as he leaned heavily against Primus.

The Executor took a single step and converted itself into a streak of pure lightning.

In less than the blink of an Immortal’s eye, it materialized within the Divine Kingdom, standing only a few meters away from Corey.

With blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, Corey looked up, a bitter smile tugging at his lips.

"You really can’t give a mortal a damn break."

The Heavenly Executor offered no verbal reply. It simply tilted its head again before looking upward and thrusting the golden lightning bolt toward the firmament.

Above, the Tribulation Cloud roiled and thundered, flashing with an endless barrage of golden lightning strikes.

The heavens roared, and a heavy sense of dread fell upon the gods, outsiders, beasts, and New Earthlings; the entire world shuddered in anticipation of the coming devastation.

"Hey."

The Heavenly Executor’s head whipped down in shock as the voice reached its senses.

To its utter disbelief, Corey stood before it, his armor and helmet now completely restored.

The armor wasn't just repaired; the natural fissures in its design were now radiating a brilliant golden glow.

Arks of golden electricity danced across the plating, giving Corey the terrifying appearance of a heavenly demon.

"That attack of yours is too dangerous. Why—"

Corey’s words were cut short as the Heavenly Executor lunged, attempting to drive its fingers through his throat. Once more, the Executor was stunned when Corey not only reacted but parried the strike without yielding an inch of ground.

"You know what. Let’s just have some fun."

Corey gave the two glass sabers in his grip a quick spin. Then, in an Immortal’s heartbeat, he swung at the arm the Heavenly Executor used to hold the golden lightning bolt.

The Executor retreated a step to evade the slash, but Corey followed up with a thrust from his right hand.

Primus suddenly stretched, transforming into a long glass spear wreathed in golden lightning.

The weapon pierced the Heavenly Executor’s shoulder, and Primus continued to elongate until it reached over a hundred meters in length, hurls the Executor backward at incredible speed.

With eyes gleaming with a freezing light, Corey brought his weapon down.

Primus shifted forms once again, this time becoming a roaring chainsaw.

Primus ground into the Heavenly Executor, cleaving it in two before the entity could even attempt a defense.

Corey retracted Primus, which reverted into a saber once more.

Thick strands of golden lightning surged across Primus before flowing into Prima, causing the golden cracks in the armor to expand and brighten.

As more golden lightning discharged from Prima, Corey felt a rush of power as intoxicating as the strongest liquor.

Without his immense self-discipline and unique mental fortitude, he would have been lost to the euphoria of the sensation.

He shook off the feeling as quickly as it had arrived. Refusing to give the Heavenly Executor a chance to recover, he launched a new assault.

He lunged forward with such explosive force that the very floor of the Divine Kingdom shattered into fragments.

His speed was so great that even the watching gods could only perceive a blur as they tracked the fight.

They were shaken to their very souls.

In an instant, Corey was back in front of the Heavenly Executor, which had already manifested its two halves back into a single form.

However, the lightning composing its body was visibly less dense than it had been previously.

The change was subtle, but undeniable.

Corey swung Primus, the blade emitting a light so sharp it literally tore through the space of the Divine Kingdom.

In addition to the Axe, one of the new world heart intents Corey had mastered over the last two years was Saber Heart Intent...

It was a power dedicated solely to the act of severing. It amplified the sharpness and lethality of any saber he wielded to a level that defied logic.
