Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon Chapter 1141 - 1138: Battling The Tribulation

Previously on Single Wish: Rise Of The Omniscient Paragon...
Corey faced a strange Tribulation that refused to strike, leading him to realize it was baiting him to devour it, which would trigger a more powerful Tribulation he could not survive. When he tried to deflect its power, a humanoid being made of golden lightning, the Heavenly Executor, descended from the sky. This entity radiated immense pressure, paralyzing Corey with fear while gods across the world reacted with shock and dread.

Had anyone ever suggested to Corey that he would one day be paralyzed by sheer terror, he would have dismissed it.

Despite being a mortal, he had encountered entities and forces that neither man nor Immortal should ever have to face.

He was the kind of mortal who could stand before Immortals and even the Incarnations of gods without his knees buckling or his spirit trembling.

Any ordinary or even gifted mortal would have collapsed instantly if they stood where Corey had been, surrounded by the incarnations of twelve divine beings.

However, Corey was no commoner; he was a talented Mortal Demi-Paragon.

That title carried a significance far beyond common understanding.

Yet, in the presence of the Heavenly Executor, he felt like a mouse cornered by a serpent.

He was the hunted, and the Heavenly Executor was the predator.

He was the defendant, and the Heavenly Executor was the magistrate.

He was... He was on the verge of death.

Corey was acutely aware of this, straining every fiber of his being to force his limbs to move, but they remained unresponsive.

Beyond the paralyzing fear, the sheer pressure was more than he could withstand.

While Corey desperately searched for a solution, the chest armor of Prima suddenly emitted a faint white radiance.

The delicate fractures spiderwebbing across her frame glowed, shifting and twisting until they transformed into the likeness of ancient runes.

Primus shivered as well, and similar runes manifested across his entire body.

Though Corey was baffled by the phenomenon, he was shocked to find his mobility restored.

He nearly toppled over, but managed to regain his balance in a fraction of a second.

He glanced at Primus and Prima. "I see. Thanks, guys."

Utilizing his Eyes of Omniscience, Corey detected a peculiar form of energy flickering across his skin.

It surged through him, barely perceptible even to his divine sight.

This was a transcendent energy, a power far superior to Divine Energy.

Even with his Eyes of Omniscience, the energy appeared as a hazy blur, making him feel as though he were hallucinating. It seemed as if what he was witnessing wasn't truly there.

Corey soon realized that Primus had shared this exalted energy with Prima to shield his physical form from the crushing aura of the Heavenly Executor.

The power Primus released was but a microscopic fraction of the energy's true potential, limited by the fact that he was currently only a Semi-Omega Grade Weapon.

He was not yet a true Omega Grade Weapon.

Furthermore, Corey was still too weak to withstand the full force of the energy or help regulate its flow.

Primus could transfer this power to Prima because both shared Corey’s Will, spirit, and soul. They were forged from nearly identical materials and linked by an intrinsic runic formation, not to mention the deep resonance of their names.

Even though Prima lacked Primus’s grade, she endured the energy through her fierce resolve to protect Corey and the support of Primus.

A look of grim determination entered Corey’s eyes as he stared up at the Heavenly Executor, who had ceased its descent to gaze back with a face composed of golden lightning.

Corey’s attention was locked onto the Heavenly Executor, leading to a silent, suffocating staredown.

A single bead of sweat rolled down his temple while his mind worked at maximum capacity.

His snow-white eyes did not blink.

After an indeterminate amount of time, Corey sensed a shift in the Heavenly Executor’s intent and struck first.

However, he did not aim for a direct confrontation.

"Now!"

At Corey’s command, Prima’s wings beat powerfully, propelling him away from the Heavenly Executor.

Suddenly, two massive metallic hands erupted from the Black Sea. They slammed together with such violence that 80% of the sea was displaced by the impact of the clap.

The resulting shockwave leveled nearby settlements and claimed the lives of unfortunate humans, beasts, and monsters who had failed to evacuate the Black Sea's perimeter.

Death, screaming, and tragedy followed that single strike, but Corey remained indifferent to the carnage.

He kept his eyes fixed on the hands of the God of Living Constructs' massive puppet. Though he tried to peer through its structure with his Eyes of Omniscience, the puppet’s tier was far too high for him to penetrate.

Corey scowled deeply and waited.

Precisely three seconds later, alarms loud enough to crumble mountains blared within Corey’s consciousness.

His scowl deepened, and he prepared to move, only to realize with a shock that his body had already reacted before his mind could process the danger.

"Huh?"

Corey’s eyes widened in bewilderment. He instinctively turned to find the source of a massive explosion.

Was there another battle occurring behind him?

Was it the gods?

Or perhaps Immortals?

Given the sheer volume and destructive force, it had to be the gods.

These questions raced through Corey’s head, but when his eyes finally landed on the scene behind him, his breath hitched.

Behind him lay a crater so vast it could hold a hundred stadiums, and so deep it could be mistaken for an ocean floor.

The pit was marred by scorch marks and dancing remnants of that familiar golden lightning.

Suddenly, a sharp, stinging pain flared in Corey's right side. Looking down, his eyes stretched wide as he saw a fist-sized hole in his waist, carved out in the shape of a crescent moon.

"Huh? What? When?"
