The moment Corey saw the ripple in Thalos’ shadow, a foreboding feeling gripped his heart as he thought of the worst.

He was about to react by dashing toward Thalos and reaching into his shadow by utilizing his void force, but then he thought about it and calmed down.

Even if he attacked the Clown right now, he knew that he was not strong enough to defeat the Clown.

The Clown was a Tier 6 with the ability to battle Immortals, and he would instantly lose if he chose to fight the Clown right now.

But that was not all.

The Pope and Tessa, or to be more precise, his sister- Anna.

The Pope and Tessa was nowhere to be seen, and it would take some time before both of them left the shell world.

Corey looked back at the shell world with a slight furrow of his brows while sending a hidden ball of toward the unconscious Thalos.

Corey looked at Pamela who had slightly furrowed brows as she seemed lost in her thoughts.

"Let’s go."

Pamela nodded, and then without bothering about Syrelle, they began walking toward the room where the world tree was hidden, leaving behind Thalos.

As Corey walked, he began going through several plans in his mind, wondering on how best to do everything he wanted to do.

His first and most important goal was ensuring the safety of Anna. No matter what happened, he would protect her.

His second goal was killing the Pope. He had no use of the Pope anymore since he knew that his sister was safe. He had also tortured the Pope, so he had no reason to do such again.

His third goal was to kill the Clown no matter what, and to also find out the identity of the Clown. Because of the rage that engulfed him in the previous cycle, he did not even bother trying to figure out the face the behind the mask.

Heck, he did not even care. He just wanted to kill the Clown.

But this time around, after forcibly calming down because he died, he was interested in knowing the face behind the mask.

These were the three goals he had, and Corey wanted to accomplish all three no matter what.

Just as Corey had this thought, his Stars of Consciousness brought his attention to something in his Sea of Consciousness.

He separated a part of his consciousness to see what his Stars of Consciousness were bringing to his attention.

And when he did, he was truly stunned and taken aback because it was something he did not expect.

On top of his Sea of Consciousness was the world tree’s spirit which he had fused with in the previous cycle.

Corey thought as he looked at the world tree sapling that was like a flickering phantom.

Wild thoughts began flowing in Corey’s head, and for a second, he was almost lost in his train of thoughts, but then he stopped.

Some time later, he, Pamela, and Syrelle appeared in the realm of the world tree, much to the shock of Syrelle.

Corey took a brief look around, and his gaze landed on Anton and the two Tier 6s beside him.

Anton noticed him, and tilted his head slightly.

"Hmm? A Tier 3 and a Tier 4?" He muttered softly with a nonchalant tone.

Corey ignored him and focused on the world tree. Unsurprisingly, he could feel a faint connection with the world tree. One which he could not feel because of the barriers of the world tree’s realm.

Just as Corey had this thought, his Eyes of Omniscience picked up on something strange and extremely unsettling.

The shadows of the two Tier 6s rippled, and then to Corey, Pamela, Syrelle, and Anton’s disbelief and shock, the two Tier 6s stabbed Anton in the heart and head, and then they detonated.
