Corey was taken aback when he heard the world tree’s voice that was full of rage and anxiety.

Corey tilted his head slightly, and then he looked at his hands that were coated with the light of divinity.

A second later, he stopped sending the world tree’s divinity into his Cosmic Soul, much to the immense disappointment of his Cosmic Soul.

Corey consoled his Cosmic Soul, and then he looked in the direction of the tiny world tree that was still growing at a rapid pace.

"I didn’t know you could speak while the fusion was still going on."

Corey said nothing at the words of the world tree since a part of him somewhat expected such a reaction from the world tree.

Corey tilted his head slightly and replied indifferently. "Who knows."

Corey did not bother replying the world tree’s repetitive questions. Instead, his focus was more on the world tree itself as she slowly grew bigger to the point where he had to start looking up.

"How big are you going to get? Don’t tell me you’re going to become your original size?"

"A year or two is a lot of time." Corey said while folding his arms as he kept on looking at the growing world tree with interest.

"Hmm."

Corey nodded slightly, and then he shifted his attention from the world tree to his Cosmic Soul.

Although the world tree had stopped him from transferring her divinity into his Cosmic Soul because it weakened her severely, she did not stop him from transferring her lightning and divine silver essence into his Cosmic Soul.

Corey could feel his body changing as his lightning affinity increased, and he also obtained metal affinity.

A pondering light flashed in Corey’s eyes, and then he shifted his focus to his soul origin where the cracks on a chain was slowly but steadily increasing.

"Hmm?" Corey looked at the world tree with a raised brow, and the world tree scoffed.

Corey chuckled softly. "What Tier do you think I’ll reach at this rate?"

"Hmm... Hopefully it’s enough to win against our enemies." Corey looked up with a calculating glint in his eye.

Corey said nothing in response to the world tree because he knew something that the world tree did not.

As Corey had these thoughts, the world tree spoke.

Corey shook his head. "Don’t worry about it. Just focus on the fusion."

Corey’s lips twitched slightly. "Hopefully, we don’t die."

Corey chuckled, and then a few moments later, the world tree stopped growing.

In his mental space was the world tree in its full glory, its roots were deep in his Sea of Consciousness and in the sky of his Sea of Consciousness which was filled with his Stars of Consciousness were her silver branches which was slowly being filled with lightning.

"I guess it’s time."

Corey closed his eyes, and when he opened them, he was back in the real world.

And when he felt the power coursing through his veins, he nodded.

"Very good."
