Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2073: Rely on others

After passing the trial, the protagonist meets Solista, whose partial divine form captivates him, and questions the nature of his newfound strength. Solista teases that he is only beginning his journey to demigodhood and confirms the God of Creation summoned him to this world due to his unique qualities, though she is mysteriously prevented from revealing more. She explains that the Mark of God connects him to divine authorities despite his own energy and provides a map of locations where other elementals are sealed. Solista warns that his actions in breaking one seal have stirred the forces of Destruction into greater agitation.

"What do you mean by that?" I found myself compelled to inquire upon hearing those words.

Solista kept her gaze fixed on the map as she explained, "When the seal was broken during the trial, hints of the elementals escaped alongside it. You've certainly learned the initial reason the forces of Destruction targeted the elementals."

A sour expression crossed my features as I regarded her, yet Solista appeared entirely untroubled by it.

It was their directive that had dispatched me to aid the elementals in completing the trial they assigned.

If breaking the seal wasn't the intended action, then in what manner was I to assist them?

This puzzle lingered in my thoughts, though I held my tongue.

After all, no resolution seemed forthcoming.

Solista showed no concern over my silence in reply.

She simply regarded me steadily and went on, "That's precisely why you should seek out these elementals without delay. Should they end up with the forces of Destruction, disaster could follow."

My eyes narrowed at her words before I questioned, "But how can I divide myself to cover all these locations simultaneously?"

"Who claimed you'd handle this solo? Aren't there numerous allies you can count on?" came her retort.

My brows furrowed involuntarily at this, as a sense of unease began to stir within me.

Ultimately, I voiced my doubt, "But can they truly assist? It's not like they possess my unique abilities, is it?"

"Even if they lack your exact capabilities, that doesn't render them useless. If they can safeguard the regions where the elementals hide, urgency fades away, doesn't it?"

Yet again, her statement carried an odd undercurrent, though pinpointing the flaw eluded me.

It simply struck me as off, but I couldn't identify the precise issue.

Consequently, nothing came to mind as a counter to Solista's proposal.

With my lack of response, it appeared she intended to return me to my world.

Yet prior to that, I abruptly interjected, "You promised revelations if I succeeded in the trial. Is this truly everything you can share?"

Realizing I couldn't demand every secret outright, my best recourse was urging her to disclose what she deemed permissible.

I trusted she'd reveal at least that extent.

However, Solista's gaze suggested I was placing her in a bind.

A prolonged hush hung between us, as though she weighed her words carefully.

Finally, she stated, "We harbor no ill will toward you."

This revelation caught me off guard, yet the earnestness in her eyes shone through. Still, after recent events, accepting it proved challenging.

Or more accurately, her personal stance didn't guarantee the God of Creation shared it.

The visions I'd witnessed painted the God of Creation in a far from benevolent light toward me.

Evidently, this marked the limit of Solista's disclosures.

With a heavy exhale, I replied, "I truly hope that's true."

Solista met my eyes with a conflicted expression, remaining silent as she transported me back to the mortal realm.

Upon arrival, I lingered in the main chapel to document my experiences, only to discover an accompanying map rendered notes unnecessary.

It resembled an ordinary chart, devoid of any sacred artifact qualities.

"For deities, crafting this must be effortless..." I murmured while examining the map.

Bearing identical notations to the one Solista had displayed earlier, it required no further effort from me.

Armed with this guide, I emerged to encounter the assembled popes, awaiting my emergence as always.

Their demeanor indicated eager anticipation for my account of events.

Yet I felt unprepared to divulge details immediately.

It wasn't a matter of withholding entirely; rather, I needed time to compose my thoughts and decide on disclosures.

Truthfully, certain occurrences I preferred to keep concealed, necessitating careful selection of revelations.

Thus, bypassing explanations, I declared, "I must convene the racial alliance. I require everyone's aid on a pressing matter."

The Holy Council's popes reacted with surprise but assented, pivoting as if to summon the group.

However, I halted them, adding, "First, I must return to the Kite Kingdom. Several tasks demand attention before assembling this gathering."

Devoid of the insights they sought, I departed the Holy Empire.
