Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 1984: I have something to share

As dawn broke, the racial alliance reconvened without delay.
It was clear that the events of the previous day would not be brushed aside.
Those who had been most vocal about finding a resolution appeared even more agitated than before. Judging by the expressions on their faces, it seemed as though sleep had eluded them entirely.
Their anxieties had evidently kept them awake throughout the night, fueling a sense of desperation regarding the current situation.
In fact, their approach today seemed far more confrontational.
"Your Majesty, what is your stance on this matter?"
Only a few minutes into the session, that direct question was hurled toward me.
They were no longer willing to wait; they intended to extract an answer from me by force if necessary.
The reverence and dread they usually felt in my presence had vanished, overridden by a much more primal instinct.
Civility only lasts as long as one feels secure. Once a person's life is jeopardized, they will resort to any means to ensure their own survival.
This was especially true for these self-important representatives, whose primary concern was their own well-being.
Since this world operated under a noble system where the aristocracy held dominion over commoners, it was inevitable that nobles would serve as delegates. They were the sort of individuals who prioritized personal gain and self-preservation above all else.
I maintained a calm gaze as I looked at the one who had spoken before posing a question of my own: "What exactly do you believe I am capable of doing about this?"
Their faces twisted into unsightly grimaces upon hearing my words, yet they struggled to maintain a semblance of composure. "I did not expect Your Majesty to take immediate action," the representative replied, "I merely wished to know if you possessed any insights."
It was clear why these individuals had been chosen for their roles.
The fact that he could remain steady after such a pointed retort from me was somewhat impressive.
Nevertheless, I had nothing to offer him, so I simply stated, "I truly have nothing further to contribute. I am aware of your thoughts, but I do not possess infinite knowledge of this world."
Once again, looks of frustration and bitterness washed over their faces.
However, this time, they were left speechless.
Just as I had pointed out, I couldn't possibly provide every answer they sought.
There are limits to my knowledge; no one in this realm could satisfy all their inquiries. Perhaps only a being who transcended mortality could do so.
Following my statement, a heavy silence fell as they realized they had no rebuttal.
I was well aware that I was their final hope for an explanation or a solution to this phenomenon. They were desperately praying that I could provide some form of protection.
But it wasn't as if I was completely empty-handed.
There was a specific reason I had been so firm with Queenie the day before.
After the silence had stretched on for a long moment, I suddenly spoke up. "However, there is one piece of information I wish to share with everyone."
The moment those words left my mouth, every head snapped up, their eyes fixed on me with intense focus.
Such was the level of trust they placed in me—it had reached a point that could be described as faith. From the perspective of a healthy racial alliance, such blind reliance was probably unwise.
For the time being, however, it served my purposes.
"I have developed a method that can assist in safeguarding all members of our alliance."
Despite their faith, they didn't seem to buy into my claim immediately. Every person watched me expectantly, waiting for a detailed explanation of my words.
I decided that a physical demonstration would be far more effective than an explanation.
"This is one of the messengers of the gods. I encountered her during my travels and have established a contract with her."
As I spoke, I held up my hand to reveal Queenie.
She had been waiting patiently as I had instructed, so I simply picked her up when the moment for the reveal arrived.
When they laid eyes on her, however, their faces were filled with blatant skepticism.
I didn't need to be a mind reader to understand their doubts.
After all, my own initial reaction to Queenie had been quite similar.
She certainly did not fit the majestic image that other divine messengers had established in their minds.
Usually, such messengers were legendary beasts—creatures of myth that were rarely seen.
Given Queenie’s unassuming appearance, it was only natural for them to feel disappointed and doubtful.
Yet, a few representatives with more discerning eyes wore different expressions. They had clearly spotted the resemblance between Queenie and the entities that had surfaced in Death Valley.
They remained silent, sensing that I had a specific plan in motion.
With Queenie in my grasp, I summoned the insects under her command to demonstrate the defensive barrier she could generate.
"While this is not a guarantee of absolute safety, it will significantly increase your chances of survival. Utilizing the power of this divine messenger, we can establish a barrier that triggers should you be targeted by the forces of Destruction."
Once the demonstration concluded, they still didn't seem entirely content with the solution I offered.
However, they found themselves unable to complain.
Ultimately, there was no better alternative available to them.
