Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 1925: Civil war

As the regional tournaments conclude, the racial alliance has shifted its focus to the recruitment of new talents. Amidst the logistical aftermath, a high-level meeting was convened where the protagonist presented Max’s data regarding the development of divine energy items. Recognizing these items as a potential turning point in the war against the forces of Destruction, the representatives of the four empires and other races agreed to provide the necessary materials for production. It was established that the distribution of the finished products would be based on each party's contribution, though the representatives made it clear they expect constant updates on the project's progress.

"What did you say?"

Only a few days had passed since the conclusion of the tournaments, yet our schedule remained packed. We were in the middle of advancing our new divine energy items and integrating the talented recruits we had recently brought in.

This was supposed to be a period of tranquility, allowing us the necessary time to strengthen our forces.

However, peace was not meant to be.

"A monster outbreak has occurred."

In the past, such an event would not have been unusual, as monster outbreaks were a frequent occurrence. But following the establishment of the racial alliance, this was a bizarre development. The alliance had been working diligently to suppress such threats before they could escalate.

By coordinating their efforts, the racial alliance frequently dispatched groups to neutralize monster gatherings before an outbreak could even begin.

For the majority of the alliance members, organizing a raid of that magnitude was impossible on their own; they simply lacked the necessary resources.

Only the racial alliance as a whole or the great empires possessed the capability to launch such massive operations.

Even for those empires, organizing such a feat was never a simple task.

Dealing with monsters was a universal burden, making it difficult for any single power to manage them under normal circumstances.

Yet, this was a problem that demanded a resolution. They couldn't afford to have such a threat looming at their backs while preparing to confront the forces of Destruction. Facing the enemy with a dagger at their rear was out of the question.

This was precisely why so many resources had been poured into monster suppression.

"How did this happen, and what is the location?" The prime minister inquired. He had been by my side reviewing the latest research on divine energy items when the news broke.

"We are currently uncertain," the messengers replied, their voices laced with hesitation.

Before the prime minister could reprimand them, a second wave of messengers arrived, providing a timely distraction for the first group.

"A civil war has broken out among the monsters."

"A civil war?" we all echoed, our voices filled with disbelief.

It was certainly not the terminology one expected to hear regarding monsters.

While we understood that monsters lived in packs, their concept of a social structure was far more primitive than that of humans or the other races. They rarely looked out for one another, driven primarily by individualistic desires.

Their only motivation for grouping together was safety in numbers, as a larger pack presented a more formidable threat.

Despite being in a group, true cooperation was rare among them.

For a monster, nothing outweighed the importance of its own survival.

Consequently, the idea of a coordinated civil war was incredibly strange.

"There is no use in further questioning," I interrupted suddenly, cutting off the prime minister before he could continue.

He glanced toward me, but ultimately remained silent, recognizing the truth in my words.

"Is the council chamber prepared?" the prime minister finally asked.

The messengers, having already anticipated this, immediately began leading the way.

In a crisis of this magnitude, there was only one logical course of action.

"I see everyone is present," I remarked upon entering the meeting room.

This was no mere pleasantry; it was a simple observation, as every key figure had already assembled for the briefing.

This situation wasn't merely a problem for the Kite Kingdom; it was a threat to the entire continent.

It wasn't just one nation under siege.

Every country was at risk, as multiple civil wars had simultaneously ignited across various monster territories. This was inherently suspicious, as monsters do not naturally engage in internal warfare on such a scale.

For them to suddenly turn on each other in this manner suggested that a hidden hand was pulling the strings from the shadows.

It didn't take much effort to deduce that the forces of Destruction were behind this.

They had been suspiciously quiet lately, and we had been left wondering what their next move would be.

"Did the scouts find any evidence of corruption energy?"

Naturally, this was the first question raised, as it was the most obvious suspicion.

However, it appeared that not a single trace of corruption energy had been detected. The reports suggested the monsters were "clean," showing no typical symptoms of being tainted.

"They wouldn't act like this without a reason," I insisted, despite the scouts' reports claiming an absence of corruption energy.

"All they would need to do is seize control of the pack leaders. By dominating the alphas, they could easily manipulate the entire monster population."

This was the conclusion we eventually reached.

It was simply impossible to believe that the forces of Destruction weren't pulling the strings.

"So, who shall we deploy?"

"With all these new recruits and our fresh supply of divine energy items, I believe we should consider mobilizing them."

The suggestion was met with immediate approval from the room.

It wasn't a matter of throwing the new talents into a meat grinder; rather, it was an opportunity for them to gain vital combat experience without facing an overwhelming threat.

While dangerous, these monsters were far less lethal than those empowered by corruption energy.

Therefore, fighting these creatures was a much safer alternative for training.

Furthermore, it would allow us to kill two birds with one stone by field-testing our new divine energy items in a real combat environment.
