Reborn as an Extra Chapter 630: To The Temple Of Nature! Part-5.

Following a solemn prayer to the Grand Atlas of the universe, Lyria and Miria guided Lia down a side corridor branch within the temple’s main hall.
The path led them deeper into the structure, winding through a far more isolated section of the facility.
Elaborate engravings of celestial phenomena—ranging from neutron stars and quasars to black holes and cosmic dust clouds—adorned the walls, each rendered with breathtaking detail and craftsmanship.
It was unmistakably the handiwork of a legendary master.
’While my knowledge of murals and art is limited, everything here possesses such elegance. I had no idea the fairies were talented architects as well.’
[No... it is unlikely that the fairies were responsible for this architecture.]
[The fairy folk are not inclined to construct buildings or even modest huts; they lack permanent residences, let alone the capacity to build a temple.]
Kai’s blunt correction left Lia feeling thoroughly confused.
’If that is the case, how could they have built such a place? It seems entirely contradictory.’
[To my knowledge, fairies simply do not possess the skills for such intricate structural design. Yet, in ages past, they were the race that laid claim to the highest number of legendary artifacts across the world.]
[This Temple might well be the product of some ancient, legendary artifact—or perhaps it represents a direct favor bestowed by the 'World' itself.]
Kai’s explanation only deepened the mystery.
’A direct favor from the 'World'? Does the 'World' just hand out legendary artifacts and pre-fabricated architecture as blessings?’
’This is the first time such a thing has ever entered my ears.’
With a faint sneer, Kai responded in a composed tone,
[Do you truly believe the fairies are simpletons who worship the 'World' purely based on blind faith?]
[The 'World' holds the fairy race in high regard. Consider this: even if you were to purge every fairy in existence, new ones would arise from nothing, manifesting through natural phenomena and shifts in elemental density.]
[No other race shares this strange cycle of origin; even the demons follow a conventional life path!]
Lifting his feline head, Kai peered at the two sisters leading them forward before adding,
[Just as the 'World' intervened to bless and shield 'Riya' during the awakening of her legendary skill, such favors are bestowed upon the fairies with surprising frequency.]
[In eras long forgotten, the fairies were arguably the wealthiest beings, frequently gifted powerful legendary treasures by the very 'world' they inhabited.]
’It comes as no surprise that they were targetted by so many other races... everyone must have been consumed by envy at their sudden prosperity.’
Lost in these thoughts, Lia sighed internally.
’The war spanning a thousand years, the orc invasions, the relentless inter-racial struggles, and the eventual downfall of the Maya continent. It has always been a cycle fueled by resources.’
Whether it involves Mana crystals, dungeon artifacts, territory, or oceans, these resources have historically served as the primary catalysts for global conflict.
In some instances, as seen during the Orc War, even human lives were relegated to the status of a resource.
The great war of demon extinction was ignited by the demons' ambition to seize the entirety of reality, forcing every soul to become a subject of miasma.
Conversely, the world alliance fought to protect every inch of their territory and their reserves, leading to a attrition war that neared the absolute eradication of both sides.
Similarly, the fifty-year conflict with the Orcs arose solely because they demanded the resources of the human empire, a demand humans refused to meet.
Since the dawn of history, every struggle has, either overtly or covertly, found its roots in the pursuit of resources.
"We have arrived! This is the Garden of Knowledge; Nova frequently teaches here and imparts the wisdom of the world to our kin!"
"It is still daylight, so she surely remains within!"
The twin sisters’ chatter pulled Lia back to the present. As the long corridor opened up, she found herself stepping into a mid-sized room that resembled a meticulously cultivated indoor greenhouse.
A diverse array of plants and herbs filled the pots and ground patches; in one section, Lia even spotted rare 'Black Roses'—the very flowers favored by Rio.
The invigorating aroma of the floral collection warmed Lia’s heart.
Guided by the twins, the group reached the center of the greenhouse, where a young girl of roughly ten years, sporting brownish-green hair, sat upon a bench.
Perched atop her head sat a tiny fairy with hair of pure white, who seemed to be lecturing the child.
"Bela! I explicitly warned you not to emulate those mischievous children or venture into the wild forests! You snuck away with them yesterday morning, did you not?"
The little girl slumped her shoulders in defeat, offering a faltering, quiet voice.
"B-but teacher... I only..."
Before the girl could finish, the fairy cut her off with a sharp reprimand.
"No 'buts!' If I catch you engaging in such reckless mischief once more, there will be no more apples for you to consume!"
Threatened with the loss of her snack, the young Bela’s posture collapsed further in genuine sorrow.
"Look! Nova is bothering Bela again!"
"Hehe~ Nova has been picking on poor Bela ever since the girl arrived in Kenorland~"
"Boo~ Granny Nova is acting senile again~ Boo~"
Catching the twins’ teasing, the white-haired fairy, Nova, drew a small stick from her sleeve.
"Ah, so you have returned, Lyria and Miria... I have been waiting for you two troublemakers."
"Calling me a granny, old hag, or senile... heh! Today, I shall teach you two brats the true price of offending this lady!"
As Nova took flight, brandishing her stick, Lyria and Miria scattered to avoid her strike.
"Run! The senile granny has lost it!"
"Run, flee! Granny Nova skipped her medicine and is on a rampage!"
The sisters' taunts only fueled Nova's fury as she shouted after them,
"Once I finally catch you two, I will make sure you understand exactly what it means to cross this senile granny!"
Witnessing the frantic chaos, Lia could only stand by in helplessness, utterly lost for words.
