Reborn as an Extra Chapter 605: We Will Meet. (End of Volume-6).
Previously on Reborn as an Extra...
From a delicate hand, tainted miasmic grains scattered into the breeze, vanishing gradually as a soft voice echoed across the surroundings.
The verses held profound implications, and the minstrel reciting them appeared utterly convinced that a monumental shift was descending upon the realm.
Perched upon a shattered remnant of the massive column that had upheld the majestic seal, Raika intoned odes to the Anomaly who had bested him in direct confrontation!
Even in its damaged condition, weaker than previously, his fractured lyre continued to weave tunes.
A smile graced Raika's lips as he observed the miasmic particles on his hand drift away borne by the wind.
"The epoch has shifted... You're undoubtedly aware of that as well..."
Concluding his song, Raika adopted a leisurely stance while gazing at the enormous portal erected on the distant hill.
For a moment, quietude dominated the vicinity, yet a response to his statement arrived shortly thereafter.
"I know full well... I've witnessed it firsthand, after all... When Alverto perished... the Era had transformed already..."
"You've been slower to grasp it than I was..."
At an unspecified moment, a misty, ethereal form materialized next to Raika; its tone grated unpleasantly on the ears, and the silhouette exuded immense strength, warping even the weave of space-time due to its aura.
"Hah, you've shown up at last... Oh? You've improved in crafting 'Projections'... This version looks increasingly refined..."
"It's been ages, Saint Nebo... or perhaps I should call you..."
The indistinct shade, the projection, the embodiment that distorted reality's essence merely by existing, was none other than the Demon King.
"You've grown more irksome since our last encounter, Raika..."
Dahaka displayed no delight at Raika's remarks and clearly disliked Raika uttering his name so openly.
"You realize the Spirit Realm isn't ideal for such discussions... Why invoke me here?"
In response to the demon king's inquiry, Raika offered his signature mild grin and answered serenely,
"I wished to convey this matter to you face-to-face... It's been too long since our last meeting; why not appear in the flesh?"
"Chatting with me isn't that dull, is it?"
The demon king shook his head and rejected the idea outright.
"I can't manifest physically in the Spirit Realm, as you well know... Besides, figures like Ashtel are monitoring my actions from beyond..."
"I mustn't act carelessly... Tell me whatever you need to; I won't squander time on you..."
Raika let out a sigh, feeling a touch of displeasure at the refusal.
"Fine, then... Your actual attendance wouldn't alter things here anyway..."
"The thing I meant to inform you of is that 'The Anomaly' remains ignorant of his 'past,' it appears..."
"That 'Bizarre' entity... It seems clueless about its origins and current being... I'm astonished at how unaware it is of its own truth..."
Upon receiving this news, the Demon King fell quiet, and hush once more enveloped the area.
It took considerable time before the demon king addressed Raika's statement.
"Are you certain?... This defies expectations, yet... maybe its inherent abilities are influencing this..."
"Grasping what's truly transpiring with an 'Anomaly' proves impossible... Thus, pinpointing 'its' precise state eludes even my capabilities..."
Raika smiled upon hearing the Demon King's assessment and responded with assured expression,
"I was taken aback too, but despite repeatedly urging him to become a 'Hero' and pursue the 'Path' I suggested, 'It' showed no response whatsoever..."
"The Anomaly hasn't fully awakened yet, perhaps..."
"Had it done so... I'd have been erased for proposing such an erroneous 'Path'..."
The demon king appeared lost in contemplation following Raika's explanation.
"My assumption is that he must attain the 'demigods' realm to truly emerge as an 'Anomaly,' then..."
Raika nodded agreement to the Demon King's observation and queried playfully,
"So... what's your view on this?... Remember, we can only steer him toward being the 'Hero' while he's partially awakened..."
"Upon entering the Demi-gods realm... He'll no longer heed our commands... Seize this opportunity now..."
"I've supplied you with every detail required... What's your next move, Dahaka?"
The Demon King paused, eyeing the distant colossal door, then answered with exceptional composure,
"The preparations are set... Now, I merely allow events to unfold naturally..."
"He must embark on the 'Path of a Hero' no matter what... I'll ensure it happens..."
Raika chuckled softly at the Demon King's firm declaration and said,
"You've grown stronger since I last beheld you... Moreover... Why do you strike me as more 'Sentient' now..."
"It's remarkable how the miasmic corruption's impact has waned, restoring your mind to its state from that ancient time..."
"I eagerly await your accomplishments..."
The hazy silhouette turned toward the ruined grand seal and responded with an strangely serene tone,
"Nothing has altered... It was simply my devoted offspring who acted far beyond my predictions..."
"He forged a fresh prospect for demonkind... Thanks to that... My thoughts have cleared for the first time in ages..."
Alverto couldn't fulfill his task of forging a 'New Path,' since the Altar he constructed endured only 12 seconds!
Though the Altar functioned briefly, those 10 seconds sufficed to cleanse Aurora, liberating her entirely from miasmic corruption and its bonds.
Yet the Altar persisted for two additional seconds post-purification of Aurora, targeting another for cleansing—none other than the Demon King!
"I understand... Alverto handed the flame of 'Hope' to you... That boy... He proved a genuine hero for the demon race..."
Alverto outwitted Rio, the 'Anomaly,' succeeding in transferring his duty to the successor—his sire, the demon king!
"I am grateful to him for ridding my clouded mind of miasmic taint... Yet I'm under no duty to heed his wishes..."
"I have my personal agenda, after all..."
Raika laughed lightly at the demon king's statement.
"Indeed, you're the self-serving sort deep down... So, what's your plan ahead?"
"Seek him out directly and challenge him?"
To Raika's query, the Demon King grinned and retorted while denying with a head shake,
"Unnecessary... No search required... He'll seek me out eventually..."
"Destiny decrees our 'Paths' will intersect sooner or later... We'll convene then..."
With those words, the demon king's form vanished in an instant, restoring all to its prior state as if he'd never appeared.
Witnessing this, Raika shook his head and chanted softly,
