Evelyn, driven by centuries of longing, drank deeply from Vritra's blood, marking him with her fangs before pulling away to spare his weakened state, whispering of her future return as darkness claimed him. Vritra awoke in a damp mine, the bite mark confirming the vampire's reality, and vented frustration at Divine's silence before discovering strength-boosting crystals that he devoured and stored for his family. As he emerged, a scheming doctor and his fox-like informant descended into the now-barren mine, their excitement turning to fury upon finding no treasures left.

As Vritra departed from the mine, he surveyed the rundown slum district, where the residents suffered from utterly wretched living conditions.

Countless individuals hadn't tasted food for days, with lifeless corpses strewn across the ground.

The scene genuinely tugged at his heartstrings, especially considering his intense loathing for the gods.

'Was that woman stronger than the gods? Or was she a demi god too?' Vritra pondered.

Yet, shaking his head, he attempted to drive her from his mind, only to discover it was completely futile.

'Do I actually know her?'

Regardless, his immediate task was returning to his family and handing over those crystals.

He checked his status panel, and the soaring figures spread a broad grin across his features.

'Oh right, I have over a million Sin Points. I'll draw lots, but first, let's escape this place. Hmm.' He scanned the sprawling lands controlled by this organization.

Though his power level was impressive, he refused to charge forward without caution.

Such recklessness would be idiotic with potential hordes of players or formidable mutants nearby.

'Infinite Evolution Ascension Path, let's try that!' He suddenly recalled his fresh Ascension Path.

With a mere mental command, his physique swiftly started transforming.

Enormous wings burst forth from his back, shredding his attire as they extended fully.

Vritra now had the freedom to reshape his body as he pleased, rendering it vastly superior to the Internal Shuffle skill.

Boundaries remained, but he felt certain he could swell into a massive giant or adopt any desired physical trait.

'Alright, time to leave.' With a single bound, Vritra launched himself skyward.

Flight felt clumsy at the start, yet he adapted in moments and surged ahead faster.

'I don't even know where I am currently. Should I snatch someone for questioning?' High above, he gazed down at the minuscule figures of humans.

He then plunged downward, folding his wings as his velocity climbed to dizzying heights.

WHOOSH

'So as I was saying, there is a new female survivor in the slu- huh? Where did this bastard go? Tsk, I am going to complain. Did he get excited from hearing about a woman or something?' The guard shook his head.

'Uwaaaaaaah!!' The other guard was already soaring high, yanked away by Vritra.

'S-Save meeeeee, mutant, it's a mutant!!' He screamed.

'Shut up, I am a human.' Vritra stated, maintaining his human appearance at least.

'Uh oh, h-human? Why did you kidnap me? Are you from the Doctors? SOB Saveeeeeeeeee- Kaghhh' He abruptly hushed after chomping his tongue.

Once they were distant, Vritra halted mid-air.

'Just answer my questions and I will let you go. If you don't speak or lie, I will let you go!' He warned.

'Y-Yekkk, I will goo ik- COUGH ughhh, I will do it.' He nodded frantically.

'Good. Now tell me, which organization was it just now? In which direction is the base of Blood Fang? Any powerful mutants around?' Vritra inquired.

'W-We are in the Cinema, and b-Blood Fang should be… in that direction. I don't know any mutants a-around.' The man replied in terror.

Vritra nodded while surveying the surroundings, then grinned: 'Good job, you are a good guy. As promised, I will let you go.'

'Hehe T-Thank you saaaaaaaaaa-' The man grinned, but his joy lasted only until Vritra released his grip, after which he wailed wildly.

'Bye, be a good person in your next life.' Having dispatched his informant, Vritra examined the terrain.

The skies posed risks, but given his stats, few threats could challenge him now.

'Let's see how fast I can go then.' Blazing flames erupted from his soles as he rocketed forward.

Spotting mutants below, he unleashed Spiritual Burst repeatedly to eliminate them.

'All of them should still be there, right?' Their power had been substantial; they were on the verge of ascending.

The distance between Cinema and Blood Fang was considerable, forcing Vritra to fly for more than half an hour.

'That's the spot where I got attacked. Hmm, it seems my second Ascension didn't cause much commotion.'

'But where are they?' Scanning the debris and sparse structures, Vritra felt uncertain.

He had no idea how much time had passed since his disappearance, and anxiety gripped him.

Yet soon, he spotted familiar clothing fragments.

'Wasn't this the outfit that Ergen guy wore last time?' Trailing the clues, he entered a structure.

An odd sensation hit him; the building reeked heavily of blood.

Venturing further, he crossed an unseen barrier, and abruptly, Vritra stood within a cavern.

Droplets fell from the ceiling, the floor was slushy, and multiple footprints marked the ground.

'They had entered it?' Vritra scowled, knowing they would wait for him even after days.

With Yasmine among them, no one would venture into peril lightly.

'Did someone attack them?' Frowning, his form shifted, rendering him fully invisible.

He pressed onward swiftly; the tracks suggested no forced entry.

Perhaps they fled from pursuers—endless scenarios raced through Vritra's thoughts.

'Damnit, come out right this instant, you bitches! If I manage to break this damn door, you are all going to be in big trouble!!' A man clad in lion skin bellowed.

'Kek! How long can you stay hidden inside? Do you plan to die from starvation and thirst? See, we have so much food.' Another man remarked, saliva dripping from his mouth.

This was an elderly figure with snowy hair, teetering on death's edge.

'Tsk! If Morgan hadn't ordered us to catch them alive, I would have just cut them earlier!' A heavily scarred man growled.

'Aye, what are you talking about? How can we just kill such pretty ladies? But you are free to kill those guys.' The old man replied, his lips smacking in a repulsive manner.

Most of his teeth had vanished as well.

Over a hundred men surrounded a stone-sealed opening, commanded by four figures.

The scarred one, the aged pervert, the brutish lion-clad thug, and a quiet man—the fresh commander of Morgan's forces.

Formerly a prominent group leader with explosive powers, he had been enslaved by Morgan through some trickery.

These four ascendants, backed by over a hundred followers, had ambushed Fiona and her companions as they awaited Vritra.

Fortunately, they escaped, only to get trapped in this spot.

No ordinary cavern, the stone barrier refused to yield once placed, impervious from both sides.

'Break this darn door, and get this perverted old guy away. I am going to kill them all!!' The scarred man thundered.

'Hey, calm down. We don't kill women.' The lion man interjected, then continued:

'They are something we enjoy slowly. The more they resist, the better. Haha! And this bunch, I have never seen anyone as beautiful as those. I won't just hand them over to Morgan.'

'Right, we can't kill those pretty girls. Come out and play with me.' The old man mumbled.

Drrrrrrr...

Abruptly, the door started sliding open.
