Tension gripped the Yate realm as the groom remained nowhere to be found.
While Vritra had declared his intention to wed, his absence led many to believe he had fled at the final hour, especially given the bride's notorious reputation.
"Should we depart for the Ford realm as Art instructed and wait for him there?" Ava inquired. Despite her lingering weakness, she was elegantly dressed and radiated beauty.
"Haa… if we stay behind, we'll look terrible for being late on such a momentous day. But if we go, what's the point if the groom is missing?"
Ultimately, Gunter chose to linger just a bit longer.
Every preparation had been finalized; they had managed to arrange everything possible within this narrow window of time.
"Haa… there's less than an hour left, where could he have gone?" Gunter paced the hallway, his mind a whirlwind of anxious thoughts.
Suddenly, a figure materialized at the end of the corridor as Vritra approached the stressed group.
"Oh, you've finally returned!" Gunter shouted with relief, before urging him: "Quickly, get ready. We need to leave; tardiness is unacceptable on a day this significant."
"Understood." Vritra gave a nod and entered his chambers, where his attire had already been laid out. He dismissed the maids, refusing any assistance with his dressing.
After stashing the clothes in his inventory, he commanded Goop to replicate them, and he was fully dressed within moments.
Goop was truly an incredible asset. Whether it was for defense, offense, or shifting into various outfits, it performed flawlessly.
"Wifey, how do I look?" Vritra turned to face Yasmine, who was standing right behind him.
"Too tempting…" Yasmine was momentarily speechless as she gazed at her husband, completely enchanted.
It occurred to her then that none of his other women had been granted a formal ceremony yet, making Teresa the first to receive one.
'It's so unfair, yet I remain the first wife,' Yasmine thought, comforting herself. Despite her feelings, she found it impossible to look away from him.
"That's settled then, let's move out." Vritra exited the room, and the reactions from the others were even more intense than the dragoness's.
The women, in particular, were lost in a trance, fantasizing about a life with the man of their dreams.
However, many hearts sank as they realized this man was about to be wed.
'What a tragedy…' was the collective sentiment. That woman was far too fortunate.
"Art, you look magnificent. Heh, my son is going to break a lot of hearts today." Ava laughed softly. She handed him a paper charm designed to ward off negative energy.
"It's time to go; luckily, we'll make it on time." Gunter let out a sigh of relief as the Yate family members filed out of the estate.
A massive fleet of beautifully decorated vehicles awaited them. Several were dedicated solely to transporting gifts and supplies.
Vritra, Ava, and Gunter boarded one of the vehicles, accompanied by the dragoness, who perched herself on her husband's lap.

Meanwhile, in the Ford realm.
The scenery was even more stunning than the day before, a result of a massive investment of wealth to compensate for the short notice.
Guests began to arrive, carrying various offerings.
Sir Giant and Rich stood by the entrance, greeting the arrivals while keeping a lookout for the groom's party.
"Great Grandpa, please don't tell me they're going to be late again…" Rich whispered. The scheduled time was fast approaching.
While the ceremony could be delayed slightly, it would reflect poorly on the Yates' reputation.
"There's still time; I'm certain they'll arrive soon," Sir Giant answered, though his mind was occupied by a deeper concern.
The entities that had issued a warning the previous day would surely try to disrupt the proceedings.
This was precisely why they had moved the wedding up, hoping to conclude it before any interference could arrive.
Once the union was finalized, everything should be secure.
'We must be quick…' Sir Giant rubbed his hands together anxiously, even as he maintained a welcoming smile for the guests.
Security was at maximum capacity, with the Fords' elite warriors guarding the perimeter alongside many hired vagabonds.
Despite having only twenty-four hours to prepare, the event was remarkably grand.
The other three major families were present, along with numerous influential figures and organizations.
"Oh, they've arrived!" Sir Giant noted as he sensed the incoming fleet. He relaxed slightly and issued several orders to the staff.
The Yate family entered the Ford realm and soon pulled up to the wedding hall.
Immediately, the heavens were illuminated by a spectacular display of fireworks, marking a grand reception.
From inside the vehicle, Vritra looked out at the scene.
The attendance was even larger than the previous day's gathering, though he remained uncertain about the local human marriage traditions.
'Wifey, how does this differ from the customs on Earth?' he asked as their path was showered with flower petals and other celebratory offerings.
"It’s not that different; it’s actually quite simple. The summoned heroes altered many traditions, including marriage.
Though I doubt you'll be kissing the bride; that might end up being a kiss of death for her," Yasmine joked. She wasn't entirely sure of Teresa's current state.
The Fords were treating them with immense respect.
The vehicles pulled into the hall and parked. Sir Giant and Rich hurried over to greet them in person.
Rich shook Vritra's hand with great enthusiasm. For some reason, he felt a strange sense of familiarity with him.
"Art, you look incredible. You actually put me in mind of someone… regardless, let me know if you require anything at all," Rich said, smiling broadly.
"Thanks." Vritra gave a nod, scanning the venue.
"Move the gifts inside," Gunter commanded, and servants began unloading the offerings and carrying them into the hall.
"Please, follow me." After the initial greetings, Sir Giant led them inside. Vritra would be summoned to the altar once the rites commenced.
For now, they were shown to a lavish private room stocked with various amenities.
Most of the Yates headed to the main hall, while only the three of them entered the private chamber.
"The arrangements are excellent. I was concerned about the time constraints, but you've done a wonderful job," Ava remarked as she settled into a plush sofa.
"Thank you, Auntie—" Rich began, before realizing the awkwardness of the family ties.
He decided to just stick to the familiar titles.
The Fords were eager to proceed, and the wedding ritual began shortly after.
Shen opened the ceremony by welcoming the guests with a few moving words before inviting the Priest to begin.
Vritra sat there, scratching his head. Was he even going to meet the bride?
What was the real purpose of this union?
He began to doubt the surface level of this marriage, certain there was a hidden agenda at play.
