During the banquet celebrating his upcoming marriage to Teresa, Vritra intentionally sows discord by falsely claiming the Ford family is planning to attack their rivals. This provocation coincides with the arrival of the Star, Trant, and Grant families, creating a tense atmosphere as the three allied factions confront the Fords. Amidst the political maneuvering and unwanted attention from noblewomen, Vritra seeks out Sir Giant to uncover the whereabouts of Yennefer following the war two years ago. Frustrated by a lack of leads and prepared to unleash a massacre, Vritra threatens the Divine into revealing that Yennefer is safe and connected to his future bride. As the sky suddenly turns black, a new omen hangs over the gathering.

The sky began to darken the moment the divine's voice trailed off. This abrupt transformation caught everyone present off guard, leaving them in a state of shock.

Vritra glanced upward, his senses picking up the faint vibration of numerous portals preparing to tear open in the firmament, though they remained at a distance.

'Is an invasion beginning? Who would dare strike now, when the majority of human powers are gathered here? Could it be the dark organizations?' he contemplated, maintaining a stoic composure as he stood his ground.

In contrast, Sir Giant’s face twisted with sudden anxiety; he appeared to be on the verge of a panic attack.

Placing a hand on Vritra’s shoulder, he stammered: "W- Why don’t you head back to your father? I have an urgent matter that requires my immediate attention."

Without waiting for a reply, he took to the sky, followed closely by Shen and several other members of the Ford family.

Vritra remained stationary, continuing his observation of the heavens. Beside him, Yasmine floated in a reclined position, lazily staring at the clouds.

She rested her head against his shoulder.

"Hubby, is a crowd already arriving to gatecrash your wedding?" she teased.

Vritra gave an exasperated roll of his eyes; she seemed to be finding far too much amusement in this matrimonial ordeal.

'This Divine is truly pushing my limits...' Vritra thought, teeth clenched. Despite his frustration, he was trapped; he had no alternative method to track down Yennefer.

The Divine’s true motives remained a mystery to him, yet it was clear they were bound by mutual necessity.

A minute later, he resumed his seat amidst a crowd filled with anxious whispers.

The identity of those appearing in the sky remained a mystery to the masses.

While many guests fled in a panic, the three rival families stayed behind, eager to witness the impending drama.

Several women, ranging from the younger generation to middle age, approached Vritra, hoping to seize an opportunity to catch his eye.

Over thirty minutes passed before the sky finally began to regain its natural hue.

Shortly after, Shen and his companions descended to the ground, looking visibly drained.

Speculations rippled through the large gathering as the guests temporarily forgot about Vritra’s unfortunate circumstances.

However, the Ford family members remained tight-lipped, refusing to provide any explanations or answer inquiries.

Following a brief private discussion, Shen ascended the high platform once more and made an announcement:

"Due to certain unexpected circumstances, the original schedule has been modified."

Vritra felt a wave of exhaustion at those words, yet he listened intently, searching for any clue regarding Yenni.

'It seems things won't be going as originally planned. Is the wedding being aborted or pushed back?' he hoped silently.

"The union between Art Yates and Teresa Ford will no longer take place in a week's time," Shen declared, prompting sighs of relief from many of the women present.

This delay would grant Vritra more time—perhaps enough to locate Yennefer before the vows were exchanged.

"Sigh. What a shame, hubby. It’s a rare treat to watch one's own husband marry another woman," the dragoness sighed with mock pity.

Shen continued, his voice remaining level:

"Instead, the wedding will be moved forward to tomorrow. Today's festivities are concluded. Guests will be politely shown to the exit as we must begin the new preparations immediately."

The assembly fell into a stunned silence, everyone staring at the monarch in disbelief.

A week was already a frantic timeline for a wedding, but a single day?

"T- That is madness! We cannot consent to this," Gunter erupted, unable to stay quiet. To agree to such terms would ruin their reputation.

It would appear as though they were desperate to trade their son’s future for profit.

Had it not been for the binding pact, Gunter and Ava would never have allowed their son to be wed to a woman so much older and with such a tainted reputation.

"This point is non-negotiable. If the ceremony does not occur tomorrow, the consequences could be dire," Sir Giant cut in.

As the bewildered guests were ushered out, the Ford monarch turned his gaze toward the three families who lingered, hoping for a scene.

"Grant, Trant, and Star—will you depart peacefully, or do you intend to provoke a confrontation with our two families?"

Shen’s tone was sharp; such sensitive matters could not be debated in front of rivals.

"Haa. Just when things were getting interesting. Won't you even share what occurred up there?" Monarch Grant asked, rising to his feet.

"Look to your left. You'll see a magical gate. Step through it, and you'll find yourself outside our domain. Why don't you go play elsewhere?" Shen added with visible impatience.

After a round of cold farewells, the three families finally departed.

Before long, Vritra, Gunter, and Ava were gathered in a private room with Rich, Shen, and Sir Giant.

"Explain this. Why the sudden shift in timing? It feels almost as if..." Gunter trailed off, hesitant to insult his potential daughter-in-law's family.

"Yes, it looks like we are offloading Teresa onto you, and Art is clearly unhappy. But I assure you, that isn't it. I value my sister more than my own children," Shen stated with gravity.

"However, that disturbance earlier was a warning.

There are factions that wish to prevent this union for their own reasons. We must complete the rite before they arrive, or we will both face significant trouble," Shen concluded.

"And yet you offer no explanation... haa... this is... I already feel the weight of guilt for pushing my son into this. It makes me feel like a selfish, poor father," Gunter said, frowning.

"It's alright," Vritra intervened. He then added: "But I refuse to marry a woman I have never even laid eyes on."

The Divine had promised a clue the moment he met her; he only needed the meeting, not necessarily the wedding itself.

"That... Grandpa?" Shen looked toward Sir Giant. The Yates family had made no other demands, and this was a reasonable request.

Sir Giant sat in thought for a moment before gesturing for Rich to go investigate something.

The handsome young man returned roughly fifteen minutes later, breathing slightly hard from the exertion.

He whispered his report to Sir Giant, whose expression remained unreadable.

"... My apologies, but seeing her this instant could put her life at risk. However, she will be prepared for the ceremony tomorrow. You will meet her then. And mark my words, my little girl is nothing like the scandals suggest," Sir Giant said firmly.

"Art, what are your thoughts?" Gunter asked. Though their family's safety was tied to this, he didn't want to force this burden on his son.

Art had been gone for years, enduring unknown hardships without any support from the family.

"Fine," Vritra eventually replied after a long silence.

"Oh, congrats hubby," Yasmine whispered in his ear, giggling as she watched the situation unfold with curiosity.

He already had six women; the dragoness had decided she would tolerate at most two more in his life.

After settling the final details, the Yates family departed from the Ford territory.

The wedding was set for the following night.

"Sigh. Why must she endure this? I wonder if her life would have been more joyful as a simple human..." Sir Giant whispered to himself, left alone with Shen and Rich.

"I have a feeling her fate is about to change," Rich remarked, his face unusually solemn.
