Ning Shu, now a soul after her death, found herself in an unknown, silent space. Through meditation, she discovered she could absorb ambient energy, gradually strengthening her ethereal form. A cold, mechanical voice then assigned her the number 2333 and informed her that she was to start a "task." A screen displayed her stats, revealing her name, age, and various attributes, including an unknown value for her charm.

This universe consisted of numerous planes, and Ning Shu’s mission was to travel through these realms to satisfy the wishes of various entrustors. These individuals were willing to sacrifice specific assets in exchange for the chance to improve their fates.

This was the stage where task-takers proved their worth.

Ning Shu was initially thrilled upon discovering she could inhabit the bodies of others. By fulfilling these missions, she could experience life as a healthy individual, finally making up for the regrets of her previous sickly lifetime.

However, the entity identifying as the system dampened her spirits. “Your time to complete tasks is limited to five years. You possess only 50 life points, with each point representing a single year. You will vanish entirely once your life points are depleted. While you may choose to remain in a task world for a full lifetime, that will be the end of your journey.”

Ning Shu gave a nod to show she grasped the situation.

“I have picked the simplest mission within the system for your debut. It is a school campus world. Are you ready to begin the task now?” The voice of the system was icy, devoid of any emotional warmth.

A shiver ran through Ning Shu’s body every time the system spoke. Disliking the sound intensely, she answered immediately, “Start the task.”

The moment the words left her mouth, a wave of dizziness hit her. Ning Shu felt as though her entire being was being squeezed into a suffocatingly narrow bottle. Unable to move, she felt as if she were on the verge of death.

“Kill this damn bitch! Who does she think she is, trying to get close to the Prince!”

“What a thick-skinned slut. Does she really believe she’s some wealthy Young Mistress? What a joke…”

As her senses slowly returned, Ning Shu was greeted by a chaotic buzzing and the harsh shouting of a crowd. Her physical form was being pelted with kicks so violent it felt as if they intended to shatter her bones.

What was going on? Hadn't the system claimed this was the easiest mission? Why was she being assaulted the second she arrived? Wasn't this supposed to be a simple task?

Opening her eyes, Ning Shu saw nothing but a forest of pale, long legs surrounding her. Occasionally, a foot would fly forward to strike her. From her position on the ground, she could even see their underwear as they raised their legs to kick.

The floor tiles smelled of filth and the unmistakable scent of a latrine. It didn't take long for Ning Shu to realize her predicament: she was being bullied in a restroom.

Her mind was a total blank. She hadn't been given a moment to receive the storyline of this world. Facing such a brutal situation, Ning Shu was momentarily stunned.

Suddenly, a hand reached down and grabbed Ning Shu by the collar, hauling her up. Her body rose involuntarily. She forced her eyes open to look at her assailant.

The person holding her was a girl dressed in a school uniform and a short skirt. Her gaze was dripping with contempt and loathing as she stared at Ning Shu. She dug her long fingernails into Ning Shu’s skin, acting as if she wanted to shred her face apart.

Ning Shu’s frame shook with agony. Although she had survived over a decade of chronic illness, this new body was unaccustomed to such trauma, causing a cry of pain to slip out.

Seeing the flash of satisfaction in the girl’s eyes made Ning Shu’s blood run cold. What kind of deep-seated malice would cause a young girl to wear such a terrifying expression?

This had escalated far beyond typical campus bullying.

Noticing Ning Shu’s dazed look, the girl grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head against the wall.

Already lightheaded, the impact made Ning Shu’s consciousness fade even further. She felt as though her soul was being shaken loose from the body. Panic flared within her; she couldn't afford to be ejected. If she lost her grip on this vessel, what would happen to the mission?

She couldn't fail her very first task like this. Instinct told her that failure meant total erasure. The existence known as Ning Shu would simply cease to be.

Through sheer grit, Ning Shu bore the physical torment. Perhaps bored by her lack of resistance, the group of girls finally lost interest and departed. As they left, they made sure to step on her, causing Ning Shu to flinch in pain.

Suddenly, an uncontrollable surge of resentment and hatred welled up in Ning Shu’s heart. The body she inhabited began to tremble with a primal urge to leap up and tear those girls to pieces, to make them suffer the same agony and disgrace.

Ning Shu was startled by the intensity of the body’s reaction. It took a significant amount of time before she could suppress the foreign emotions. She eventually dragged herself off the floor, crawled into a stall, and collapsed onto the toilet, her strength completely spent.
