My Longevity Simulation Chapter 1158: The Tianxuan Swallowing Technique

Li Fan’s clone fixed his gaze unblinkingly on the ominous mirror positioned nearby.
“It doesn’t just resemble it in looks; its aura matches too…”
With a fragment of the Tianxuan Mirror’s essence inside him, Li Fan knew the Tianxuan Mirror like the back of his hand. Still, this peculiar tiny mirror right in front of him came across as its identical sibling! A jolt shook Li Fan’s consciousness, sending his ideas spinning wildly.
“Back when it was known as the Xuantian Mirror, the Tianxuan Mirror was acquired by King Xuantian in the days of the Xuantian Sect from an Ascension Passage—a remnant from the Immortal Realm. Then what could this mirror in front of me possibly be?”
Suddenly, an impulse gripped Li Fan to advance and examine it closely. But after thinking it over briefly, he held back. An odd discomfort emanated from this dark Tianxuan Mirror. For the moment, Li Fan opted to watch from afar in silence.
Drip, drip, drip—the drops of blood splashing onto the mirror’s face kept flowing without pause. Sun Luyuan’s complexion had turned ashen, but he made no move to halt. Li Fan even spotted terror in his gaze and a faint quiver in his limb, like he wanted to withdraw yet couldn’t command his own body.
Only when the mirror released an odd ripple, its dark glow fading away, did Sun Luyuan slump onto the floor, completely drained. He gulped down a few medicinal pills and, following a period of cultivation, his face regained its usual hue.
Sun Luyuan stared at the little mirror, now emitting a faint ghostly radiance, his eyes flickering between avarice and dread. It was hard to tell what was churning in his head.
After a lengthy hesitation, his stiff form started to stir once more. He pulled out yet another small mirror from his garments and angled it toward the dark one. Naturally, this was the Tianxuan Mirror.
Li Fan watched as threads of verdant glow were pulled from the Tianxuan Mirror’s face, rushing into the black mirror. Once it had taken in the core of the Tianxuan Mirror, the black mirror became even more identical to it.Sun Luyuan seemed to be monitoring the duration carefully. Soon enough, while the black mirror kept feeding, his face changed. He quickly made hand signs to yank back the Tianxuan Mirror. Yet the black mirror, greedy in its hunger, refused to release its hold.
Out of nowhere, a puff of dark fog burst from the mirror’s surface, forming a human-like shape that bellowed at Sun Luyuan, “It’s not enough! I need to consume more!”
A tremendous wave of force exploded from the black mirror’s shape, raging like a tempest across the hidden room. Sun Luyuan clenched his jaw, forcefully drawing the Tianxuan Mirror away as he spoke to the figure from the black mirror, “Little brother, rein in your urges! Eating too fast will tip off the Tianxuan Mirror, and everything we’ve done will go to waste!”
At Sun Luyuan’s words, the figure from the black mirror appeared to reclaim a bit of sense. Its outline wavered, as though locked in internal conflict. Following an intense struggle, it managed to curb its deep cravings.
“Brother, it hurts so much…”
“Brother, I can’t endure it.”
“Brother, release me!”
Tears, begs, rage— a whirlwind of feelings crossed the black mirror’s figure. Regardless of its expression, though, each phrase started with “Brother.”
Tortured by these wails, Sun Luyuan shut his eyes and offered more of his vital blood to soothe the figure’s fury. As the blood flowed in, the black mirror settled down once again.
Sun Luyuan, as if freed from a heavy load, tumbled to the ground, devoid of any air of a Dao Integration expert. It required half a day for him to regain his strength.
Facing the black mirror anew, he chanted spells under his breath. At his command, a brilliant glow erupted from the black mirror, brimming with endless shimmering runes and scenes. Sun Luyuan observed intently, unwilling to overlook even the tiniest bit.
The visions dimmed gradually before disappearing entirely. Sun Luyuan pulled his eyes away with reluctance.
“This gain will suffice to pull our Sun family through this ordeal,” he whispered. “When Lu’er exits the Guardian Hall and secures a vital role in the Ten Thousand Immortal Alliance, with four Dao Integration powerhouses, the Sun family will finally secure its place.”
Li Fan’s divine sense clone, after witnessing the whole affair, connected a few pieces of the puzzle. “Not some supreme immortal treasure? Instead, a soul of a person as its base, using a hidden method to corrupt the Tianxuan Mirror and thus tap into massive troves of data that normal ways can’t reach?”
“Even without being an immortal treasure, breaching the Tianxuan Mirror remains a major accomplishment.”
Li Fan looked over at Sun Luyuan, who looked thoroughly fatigued. In recovery, Sun was apparently processing the fresh intel from the black mirror in his thoughts.
“Relying solely on one of my clones to take him down…” Li Fan pondered. “I lack full assurance, particularly with that creepy black mirror accompanying him.”
After thorough deliberation, Li Fan’s divine sense clone refrained from striking right then.
Rather, he chose to stay hidden for now.
He planned to bide his time until Sun Luyuan separated from the Black Mirror, then craft a scheme step by step.
Seven days went by.
As Sun Luyuan’s eyes snapped open, his initial action was to rapidly execute hand signs, sealing the Black Mirror away in the secret chamber for the interim.
Detecting Sun Luyuan’s moves, the foggy human form inside the Black Mirror fought to escape.
But it remained trapped tight against the mirror’s face, powerless to escape.
Once the turmoil died down, Sun Luyuan breathed out in relief.
He disabled the array of barriers and departed the secret chamber.
Shortly after.
Li Fan’s spirit sneaked up to the Black Mirror.
“The substance forming this mirror’s frame…”
“It doesn’t appear to originate from the Xuanhuang Realm.”
“The idea that it’s an immortal treasure isn’t completely off base.”
“That said, the ancient immortal force has faded long ago, leaving just a hollow vessel now inhabited by that shape.”
Through Li Fan’s accumulated insights, a close inspection revealed certain findings.
To test his theory, the spirit shard started analyzing the seal that Sun Luyuan had placed.
“Hmm? It echoes an Immortal-grade array somewhat. Yet it’s way too rough.”
The primary form utilized the Final Dissociation Disc to aid, and swiftly, the seal was broken.
Nevertheless, Li Fan’s divine sense spirit didn’t shatter the seal outright. He proceeded to alter it drawing from its core.
“Brother, why have you returned already?”
“Did something else go wrong? Heh heh heh…”
A voice tinged with madness resounded from the Black Mirror.
Li Fan paid it no heed, persisting with his adjustments to the formation seal.
The dim figure prattled endlessly before at last noticing the irregularity.
“You’re not Brother?”
“Who are you?”
Anger and alarm filled the voice.
“You vile creature, keep your distance from me!”
The shadow shrieked, causing the Black Mirror to shake furiously.
“Quiet!” Li Fan uttered with a chill sniff.
A silver streak of thunder appeared from nothingness, slamming into the Black Mirror with force.
The mirror’s frame, crafted from an unidentified substance, bore a mark of burn.
The shadow’s cries halted amid a howl.
After a brief quiet, the shadow seemed to rally.
“You…”
It was on the verge of erupting once more, but yet another lightning strike met it.
