My Longevity Simulation Chapter 1056: The Dharma Transmitter's Oath
Previously on My Longevity Simulation...
"Destroying the world? Isn't that going a bit too far?" Li Fan’s face betrayed a hint of shock. "In this era, the Xuanhuang Realm is the only relatively secure sanctuary remaining in the Darkest Star Sea..."
Dharma-Transmitter Wei cut him off with a dismissive wave of his hand before he could finish. "Heh, young friend, you have the wrong idea. We aren't actually aiming to demolish the Xuanhuang Realm. We simply need to manufacture a crisis of such magnitude that ordinary cultivators are helpless against it, forcing Jiang himself to take action."
"Once Jiang has been drawn out, the two of us can intervene and talk sense into him. We should be able to persuade him to perform an investigation into the Five Elders Association that currently holds power."
A flash of cruelty crossed Dharma-Transmitter Wei’s gaze. "Those Xuantian Sect demons can hide all they want, but they will never survive the scrutiny of the [Dharma-Transmitter's Oath]!"
"The Dharma-Transmitter's Oath?" Li Fan inquired immediately, his curiosity piqued by this unfamiliar term.
"It is the [Great Oath] that every one of us was required to swear upon joining the Transmitters in the past. It is sworn in the name of the Dharma-Transmitting Immortal Ancestor, witnessed by the spirits of countless fallen and future martyrs, and it points directly to the heart to confront one’s own divine soul."
"In those days, when we were ruthlessly hunted and suppressed by the Ten Immortal Sects, not everyone was able to keep their original intentions pure."
"To root out the traitors within the ranks of the Transmitters, the [Dharma-Transmitter's Oath] review was vital! Should any Dharma-Transmitter violate their initial vow, ten other Dharma-Transmitters could assemble to trigger a compulsory oath inspection."
"Under the interrogation and brilliance of that inner light, whether they had truly betrayed us would be laid completely bare!" Dharma-Transmitter Wei stated with pride.
"It is a shame that the Dharma-Transmitter's Oath review hasn't truly been used in many years, not since the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance was established and things settled down. It’s as if everyone has silently agreed to ignore it, pretending it doesn't exist." At that point, Dharma-Transmitter Zhou cut into Wei’s speech with a cold, detached tone.
For a brief moment, Wei’s expression became rather sheepish.
"Regardless, if we can just bring ten Dharma-Transmitters together, the Xuantian Sect's scheme will undoubtedly be exposed! Jiang holds a unique position; his word alone is worth five Dharma-Transmitters. With the two of us included, we only need to secure three more allies!" The white-haired Wei quickly steered the conversation elsewhere.
"Given Jiang's immense reputation, it won't be hard if he takes the lead!"
Li Fan gave a nod of agreement. "Our Federation of All Worlds is home to many surviving cultivators from various immortal realms. The disasters that struck their homes were all unique. Creating a catastrophe significant enough to lure Jiang..."
"That won't be an issue!" Li Fan declared with certainty.
"The only lingering uncertainty now... is your claim that Chen and the others have been possessed by Xuantian Sect demons."
Just as Li Fan assumed the negotiations were concluding, the two Dharma-Transmitters unexpectedly brought the discussion back to its starting point.
Dharma-Transmitter Zhou’s voice returned to its lazy, slow drawl, and her previous urgency to protect the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance vanished instantly.
"Hypothesis is still just hypothesis. If we were to investigate the high-ranking leadership of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance without hard proof, imagine the chaos the Alliance would fall into afterward."
"Your Federation of All Worlds has been hunting the Xuantian Sect remnants for a long time; surely you know them well. Do you have any concrete evidence?" Dharma-Transmitter Zhou questioned.
Li Fan remained quiet for a short while before speaking slowly. "That Mo Rubin is exceptionally treacherous and slippery. Many of the old secret techniques used to identify Xuantian Sect disciples no longer work on him. However..."
He paused briefly, then continued with an air of assurance: "The Dharma Kings of the Xuantian Sect all practice the immortal realm techniques handed down by the ancient Xuantian King. They belong to a specific lineage, sharing the same qi and origin. Once they have cultivated it, they can detect one another."
"Utilizing this concept, we can construct a small puppet that runs the Xuantian Sect Dharma King technique automatically. If any members of the Xuantian Sect are nearby while someone holds this, it will naturally react..."
While explaining, Li Fan smiled and produced a palm-sized, translucent figurine carved from white jade, presenting it to the two Transmitters.
Zhou and Wei accepted the tiny puppet and studied it intently, both showing looks of amazement.
This white jade figurine appeared almost sentient, with its internal cultivation technique flowing rhythmically on its own.
They could even feel a pulsing aura of life radiating from the object!
Such mastery of artifact-refining...
Even the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance could not match this!
Because of this, their confidence in Li Fan’s claims grew slightly stronger.
"I am giving this puppet to you both as a gift. I trust that with your skills, you can perform the final check yourselves. I hope it can be finished quickly."
"The Xuantian Sect demon has been pulling the strings of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance for five years. With such immense power at his disposal, whatever he is plotting in the shadows is bound to be extremely dangerous," Li Fan said with gravity.
"I also need to head back and report what I've found. I hope to get more attention from the organization regarding this matter."
Having said that, Li Fan clasped his hands in a respectful salute and prepared to depart.
The two Dharma-Transmitters made no move to stop him.
Li Fan left behind only a communication disc engraved with the words [Myriad Worlds] for future contact. He then quickly exited Dharma-Transmitter Zhou's private small world.
Zhou played with the Myriad Worlds Disc, a strange light shimmering in her eyes.
She sent her divine sense into the disc, feeling as though she had entered a massive star-filled sky. However, most of it was obscured by a yellow fog, offering only glimpses of flickering lights beneath the haze.
Only the point of light representing Li Fan was bright and clear. It was open for communication.
Zhou sank into deep thought.
Every light in that starry sky was a cultivator from the Federation of All Worlds, and all were reachable through this disc.
But for now, only Li Fan had granted her access; the others remained hidden by some mysterious power.
Permission from the other side was a requirement to proceed further.
Zhou showed the Myriad Worlds disc to Dharma-Transmitter Wei.
After a moment, the white-haired Wei let out a soft sigh. "It seems this Federation of All Worlds really does exist."
"This kind of technology isn't something a minor group could produce. And then there is this puppet..."
"Huang has been incredibly careless. To think an organization like this appeared in the Xuanhuang Realm without us knowing a single thing about it."
Wei’s expression grew somewhat grim.
Zhou gave a noncommittal smile. "We will see the truth when we encounter their so-called Longevity Immortal experts. Everything else is just a minor detail. Only the Longevity Immortal stage..."
"Cannot be faked, and it is the true measure of an organization's power."
A look of yearning appeared in Wei’s eyes. "The Longevity Immortal stage..."
"If it weren't for the obligations of being a Dharma Transmitter, I might have reached it back then. Truly a shame..."
Zhou glanced at him. "Are you trying to lie to me now as well?"
Wei just shook his head slightly, offering no rebuttal.
After a silent interval, he suddenly spoke up: "By the way, do a thorough check on those juniors who went on this mission."
"He knows our movements too perfectly; there has to be a mole among them."
