My Longevity Simulation Chapter 1053: Meeting of the Dharma-Transmitters

Previously on My Longevity Simulation...
You Chisong finally earns the trust of Dharma-Transmitter Zhou’s followers and joins a high-stakes mission to infiltrate the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance’s Nether Prison. Disguised as Alliance cultivators, the group successfully extracts a former Dharma-Transmitter who has been suppressed for five hundred years. However, their escape is intercepted by Li Fan, who has been tracking them through a stolen bloodline resonance. To the group's horror, Li Fan sows chaos by claiming they are imposters and that Zhou is already dead, leading the rescued elder to suspect that everyone involved is a fraud.

"Exactly; you have finally shown some improvement."

"Your performance is more convincing, and your plots are starting to take a proper shape," the white-haired elder remarked.

The leader of the black-clothed cultivators turned frantic. "Senior, you truly misunderstand the situation!"

He quickly signaled his subordinates to deactivate the formation's restraints on the white-haired elder. "Senior, you are free. Surely this cannot be dismissed as an act?"

Narrowing his eyes, the white-haired elder replied, "I was the one who originally designed the Nether Prison. If I actually desired to depart, do you think it could truly hold me?"

"You don't even grasp that..."

A deeper skepticism filled the white-haired elder's eyes.

"I warned you they were deceivers. Senior, you should come with me instead. I am alone; even if I had malicious intent, I would be no match for you," Li Fan observed, a smile playing on his lips.

However, despite his suggestion, he made no move to get closer or welcome the white-haired elder toward him.

"You, young man..." The white-haired elder found himself unable to decipher the youth standing before him.

A mission that had been progressing with perfect ease had now hit an unexpected stalemate.

With every passing second, the danger of being discovered by the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance increased.

Given the circumstances, the lead cultivator grew more desperate.

He clenched his teeth, his mind turning toward the idea of capturing the white-haired elder by force and dragging him away.

Suddenly, a soft, clear sigh resonated above the group.

"Old Wei, you are as arrogant as ever."

The moment that voice was heard, the faces of the black-clothed cultivators lit up with relief. "Senior Zhou!"

Meanwhile, the aura of the white-haired elder—Dharma-Transmitters Wei—underwent a sudden transformation.

His dull eyes flashed with a sharp, piercing light as he stared directly upward.

A woman dressed in simple white robes, possessing a refined and clear beauty, had appeared without a sound.

Transmitter Wei looked at her intently, then paused in confusion. "It really is you..."

He looked back at the group of black-clothed cultivators, his expression becoming strange. "So, what these youngsters said is actually true?"

Dharma-Transmitters Zhou sighed again.

"You are so obsessed with conspiracies that you view everything as a lie."

"The Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance has faced many disturbances lately. Suspecting that the Dharma-Transmitter Council has been compromised, I intended to invite you out."

"However, I knew that appearing myself would mean seeing that smug, irritating face of yours. That is why I sent these children instead."

"I did not expect..."

Dharma-Transmitters Zhou's voice held a peculiar, weary quality, as if she lacked all energy.

Upon hearing this, the white-haired elder's face momentarily stiffened.

But he soon broke into a boisterous laugh, washing away the tension.

To shift the focus, he immediately turned his attention toward Li Fan.

"If you are all sincere, then what is the story with this boy?"

Li Fan remained composed, offering a polite salute. "Greetings to both seniors."

"This whole charade was merely a way to meet you in person."

Wei and Zhou traded a look, both showing amused expressions.

"The Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance will have people here shortly. We should move elsewhere."

Dharma-Transmitters Zhou swept a slender hand through the air, tearing open a spatial rift. She ushered the black-clothed cultivators inside.

The white-haired elder looked back at Li Fan. "Boy, do you have the courage to follow?"

After a brief moment of thought, Li Fan stepped into the small world with them.

"Hm? This place..."

When the surroundings became clear, Li Fan nearly suspected he had been trapped in another illusion.

The architecture within this small world bore a shocking resemblance to the world he lived in before his transmigration.

Great skyscrapers rose on all sides.

Under a dark night sky, a light, misty rain was falling.

Neon signs on the building facades cast a strange, multicolored brilliance over the dark city.

This scene, both ancient and profoundly familiar, caused Li Fan to stand in a daze for a moment.

He was not the only one.

Dharma-Transmitters Wei also seemed to struggle with the environment.

"Well? It is quite a sight, isn't it? I took a trip to the Land of Carefree Paradise recently and found the scenery there quite charming. So, I recreated it here."

The voice of Dharma-Transmitters Zhou drifted over calmly.

Li Fan turned toward her and saw that she had already changed her attire.

She wore a crisp white blouse and well-fitted trousers.

A pair of black-rimmed glasses now rested on her face.

She no longer looked like a Dharma-Transmitters; she appeared more like a modern urban professional.

"Your tastes..."

"Are as baffling as they have always been." Dharma-Transmitters Wei shook his head, clearly unimpressed.

"And you are still a relic of the past, utterly tiresome," Dharma-Transmitters Zhou snapped back with a smirk.

"I find it quite impressive. This outfit, in particular, suits you perfectly, Senior," Li Fan cut in.

The eyes of both Dharma-Transmitters turned toward Li Fan at the same time.

"Hee hee, the young always have much better vision than certain old fossils. That is exactly why I enjoy collecting youth." Dharma-Transmitters Zhou smiled as she looked at Li Fan.

"Boy, if you have a hidden agenda, you had better speak up. My patience is not infinite," Dharma-Transmitters Wei said, his expression souring.

However, Li Fan could sense that Wei's irritation was mostly an act.

The three of them were now standing on the highest floor of the city's tallest skyscraper, where the glowing night metropolis was visible through a massive glass wall.

The entire floor was empty of decoration, save for a central desk, a sofa, and a red carpet that covered the floor.

Li Fan sat on the sofa with ease, as if he belonged there.

He then stated his purpose for finding Dharma-Transmitters Zhou: "I want the truth about what occurred at the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance headquarters five years ago."

"And I want to know the current location of the real Tianxuan Mirror."

Dharma-Transmitters Wei, having been locked away for years, was still in the dark about these events.

As for Dharma-Transmitters Zhou, her mask of indifference slowly slipped away. She looked at Li Fan with scrutiny, trying to figure out who he was.

"You appear out of thin air and immediately demand such high-level secrets."

"Little one, where do you get such confidence?"

Zhou's voice shifted from lazy to freezing cold. "You are merely a Nascent Soul True Lord. Even if the Cave-Heaven you absorbed is vast, you remain at the Nascent Soul stage."

"And yet you dare to speak to me in this manner?"

Li Fan did not flinch. "I have always spoken to Dharma-Transmitters in this tone. The fact that you haven't killed me but are instead testing me with words—does that not prove where my confidence comes from?"

The air became heavy with tension once again.

But the pressure broke instantly when Dharma-Transmitters Zhou let out a charming laugh.

"You are correct."

"It has been a long time since I encountered such a remarkable young man. Why don't you become one of my collectibles?"

"If you agree, I will reveal any secret you desire."

Dharma-Transmitters Zhou's voice returned to its usual, lazy drawl.
