My Longevity Simulation Chapter 1021: Truth Beyond the Dream

"Regarding the other disciples whose talents are merely average..."
Reluctance flickered briefly in Liu Ruchen's gaze, but he eventually spoke with a heavy tone: "Then we shall strip them of their current cultivation techniques and force them to transition to the Vital Essence of All Living Beings Technique!"
Li Fan clapped his hands in satisfied approval upon hearing this decision.
"Sect Master Liu possesses a truly high level of awareness. This ensures I won't be placed in an awkward position."
Liu Ruchen could only offer a bitter, strained smile in response.
After receiving the comprehensive list of every cultivator housed within the cauldron, Li Fan scanned the names and resolved to wake the Dao Integration Elders first.
In his view, anyone below the Dao Integration stage—particularly those following ancient cultivation methods—held very little practical value.
Within the Medicine King Cauldron, six Dao Integration experts and twenty-three Soul Transformation True Monarchs remained in deep slumber.
Li Fan was already quite acquainted with Liu San, Fang Zaiji, and Jiang Yushan from his previous experiences.
Naturally, he chose to awaken them first in this lifetime.
"Pill power might be useful in resisting that invisible killing intent," Liu Ruchen suggested suddenly, just before dismantling the Great Dream Spring and Autumn Formation.
"However, since I haven't felt it myself, I cannot be entirely certain," Liu Ruchen added with significant caution.
"It matters not. If it proves effective, that is for the best."
Liu Ruchen extracted several medicinal pills that radiated a chilly blue light from the Medicine King Cauldron, administering the first one to Liu San.
After a short while, Liu San's eyes slowly fluttered open.
The first sight to greet him was the unfamiliar face of Li Fan.
"Who are you?" Liu San's instincts remained sharp; his body blurred as he shifted backward defensively.
Yet, the moment he spotted Liu Ruchen, his internal suspicions evaporated completely.
"Master..."
"Have we reached the Unfettered Free Realm already?" A flash of happiness crossed Liu San's face as the question escaped him instinctively.
Liu Ruchen sighed, shaking his head as he gave a brief summary of the actual situation.
Liu San was understandably stunned by the revelation, but with Liu Ruchen present to ground him, he managed to compose himself quickly.
Jiang Yushan was the next to be awakened.
Her reaction was notably more stoic by comparison.
She adjusted to the reality of being a thousand years in the future with remarkable speed.
"Sect Master Liu, the choice is yours," Jiang Yushan stated, her voice sounding like the harsh scraping of metal.
"The two of you should begin circulating the World-Saving Longevity Scripture for the time being," Liu Ruchen commanded, looking at his two subordinates.
Both Liu San and Jiang Yushan obeyed immediately.
Moments later, their brows knit together simultaneously.
"What is the sensation?"
"There is indeed a volatile killing intent that flares up periodically. However, it remains suppressible. This is likely due to the [Unknowing Pill]," Liu San reported after focusing for a moment.
Jiang Yushan remarked: "Using the Unknowing Pill on me was a waste. This is trivial compared to what I endured within the Indefinite Prison."
Liu Ruchen then turned his attention to Li Fan: "It appears the pill is effective at dampening the killing intent. Nevertheless, the ingredients required for the Unknowing Pill are quite rare. The current reserves in the Medicine King Cauldron can likely only produce a few more batches..."
Li Fan dismissed the concern with a wave of his hand: "Don't fret over raw materials. Our Federation of All Worlds is quite wealthy in that department."
"Proceed. Let's see how many more we can wake before it becomes too much."
Liu Ruchen nodded in agreement.
He proceeded to awaken two more Dao Integration cultivators, Zeng Qianran and Ou Kui, one after the other.
By this point, the effort required to stifle the murderous urges in their hearts had become quite demanding for them.
"It seems we have reached the limit. We should pause here. As for the remaining Fan Zhuo..."
"There is still Elder Fang. His circumstances are unique; since he never practiced the World-Saving Longevity Scripture, waking him shouldn't pose a problem," Jiang Yushan interrupted to remind Li Fan before he could finish.
Liu San cast a brief look at Jiang Yushan.
Li Fan simply grinned and finally pulled Fang Zaiji out of the Great Dream Spring and Autumn Formation.
With this, the primary powerhouses of the Medicine King Sect were largely gathered.
Including Liu Ruchen, there were now six Dao Integration cultivators. Even by the standards of antiquity, this represented a formidable force within the current United Realms Alliance.
Furthermore, because they were all alchemy specialists, their practical value likely surpassed that of typical Dao Integration combatants.
Led by Liu Ruchen, the members of the Medicine King Sect took time to understand the basic state of the Spiritwood Realm.
Most were burdened by heavy thoughts, with the exception of Fang Zaiji.
Upon learning that the Spiritwood Realm hosted cultivators from the Heavenly Mechanism Realm, and that Liu Ruchen's current form was a puppet designed by one, Fang Zaiji became overjoyed. He demanded an immediate meeting with the Artisan Master Qiaogong.
Master Qiaogong, who was deeply preoccupied with his research into Tianyang's divine manifestation, was initially annoyed by the intruder.
However, after a short conversation, the two found they were kindred spirits.
While Fang Zaiji's skills in artifact refinement could not match Master Qiaogong's, his youth spent wandering the Xuanhuang Realm had granted him incredible perspective.
This insight proved helpful even for the research regarding Tianyang's body merging with the Dao.
The two enthusiasts locked the door, refusing to let any outsiders interrupt their work.
Li Fan let them proceed without interference.
Following a discussion among the Dao Integration experts of the Medicine King Sect, they presented Li Fan with a list of thirty names.
"These particular disciples are exceptionally gifted. It would be a tragedy to force them into the Vital Essence Technique of All Living Beings. We should keep them in stasis until a way to neutralize the killing intent is found."
"As for the others..." Liu Ruchen said with finality, "They are at the emissary's disposal."
It was a cold decision, but it ensured their survival.
As for the idea of pooling their Dao Integration strength to revolt...
After observing the wonders of the Spiritwood Realm, they buried such thoughts so deeply that not a single trace remained on their faces.
"I actually have a different approach. We might not need to turn these disciples into mindless drones for the technique," Li Fan said suddenly, catching the attention of the Medicine King Sect members.
"They are currently within the Great Dream Spring and Autumn Formation, correct? If I alter the formation so the dream environment mirrors reality..."
"They might never need to wake up, yet they can still perform the necessary tasks in the real world."
Liu Ruchen asked with a hint of doubt: "The emissary implies..."
"Dreamwalking?"
Li Fan nodded.
"One moment, please."
The Final Dissociation Disc within his Dantian whirred, and a superior version of the Great Dream Spring and Autumn Formation was calculated instantly.
When he shared the formation details with Liu Ruchen, the Sect Master's eyes widened in shock.
Had this formation been perfected in the mere moments they were speaking?
"This should be viable," Liu Ruchen said, taking a slow breath.
Shortly after the updated Great Dream Spring and Autumn Formation was activated, Li Fan and the others entered the dreamscape of the Medicine King Sect disciples.
The previous dream imagery had vanished, replaced by a perfect reconstruction of the actual Spiritwood Realm.
Liu Ruchen did not reveal to the disciples that they were dreaming.
He simply explained that their flight from the Xuanhuang Realm had failed and they were now part of the Federation of All Worlds.
Though the disciples felt fear and uncertainty, they were alive.
Once the initial chaos subsided, order returned.
Following Liu Ruchen's lead, they began to settle into the Spiritwood Realm.
Simultaneously, in the physical world, their bodies moved in perfect synchronization with their dream actions.
