My Longevity Simulation Chapter 1005: Tianxuan Mirror's Origin
Previously on My Longevity Simulation...
After hearing those words, the Tianxuan Mirror clone paused to reflect before reaching his right hand deep into his own chest.
He pulled out a shimmering orb that throbbed with a rhythmic pulse, mimicking the breathing of a living thing, and offered it forward.
“Keep this on your person; it shall act as my surrogate,” the Tianxuan Mirror clone declared with gravity.
“What kind of object is this?” Li Fan asked, reaching for the sphere, only for his fingers to pass through it as if it were a phantom.
“This is the Mirror’s Origin. It came into existence alongside my true body. It is eternal—never increasing, never fading, neither born nor destroyed. No outsider can grasp or refine it; it answers only to my summons and command.”
With a deliberate gesture, the Tianxuan Mirror clone gestured toward the air, guiding the orb of Mirror Origin to merge directly into Li Fan’s form.
“Brother, you wouldn't be planning to use this Mirror Origin as a tool to monitor me, would you?” Li Fan questioned, his brow arching in immediate suspicion.
A flash of indignant irritation crossed the Tianxuan Mirror clone’s features. “This is but the primordial sigil of my true essence. Without the infusion of external power, how could I possibly utilize it for surveillance?”
“Furthermore, if your suspicion remains, you are free to seal the Origin within your body. So long as it stays within you, it represents my presence…”
He had not even finished his sentence when he realized that Li Fan had already completely suppressed the Origin within a single heartbeat. Only a microscopic, nearly invisible thread of connection remained to signal its presence.
The Tianxuan Mirror clone’s face twitched slightly.
However, seeing that Li Fan’s expression was perfectly composed and indifferent, he took a breath to regain his poise.
After a brief pause, he remarked, “With this Origin in your possession, you can place absolute confidence in the Mirror Holder, Cang.”
“Hmph, that man was far from faithful. Over the long eras he spent watching over me, he harbored treacherous ambitions. He attempted to employ a forbidden technique to seize total dominance over me, dreaming of ascending above every other Mirror Holder.”
“Regrettably for him, such insignificant plots could never deceive my eyes. I played along, pretending to walk into his snare step by step, only to retaliate at the critical moment and transform him into my Mirror Slave.”
“Had it not been for that, claiming this human vessel would have been far more difficult,” the Tianxuan Mirror clone boasted with a sense of pride.
“Is that so? Truly excellent. This single detail improves the odds of my strategy by at least fifty percent!” Li Fan responded with sincere praise.
“Time is pressing. I shall leave at once.” Li Fan gave a respectful cupped-fist salute before vanishing from the clone's presence.
The mortal city, which had been frozen in a timeless stasis, suddenly roared back to life with the sounds of commerce and daily life.
“I hope success finds him,” the Tianxuan Mirror clone whispered to himself.
In truth, he placed little genuine faith in Li Fan; this was merely a trial run.
Just as Li Fan had suggested, their bond of trust would only strengthen through continued cooperation.
If Li Fan actually managed to build a significant power base, the clone wouldn't mind having another pillar of support.
But should the plan fail prematurely…
He would suffer no loss at all.
The Mirror’s Origin was something no one could steal. As for the so-called Great Formation Astral Mechanism of All-Spirits Return to Numbers or the Mirror Holder Cang…
To him, they were entirely beneath notice.
With those thoughts, the Tianxuan Mirror clone began humming a soft melody, returning to his disguise as a busy shop clerk.
…
High above the skyline of Weidu City.
Tianyang and his two companions watched Li Fan’s return with bewildered looks.
From their perspective, Li Fan had merely stood face-to-face with their target, exchanged a few indiscernible words, and then walked away without striking a blow.
“Emissary, what is the meaning of this?” Daoist Hundred Flowers inquired with caution.
“The circumstances have shifted. Combat is no longer required. You two are to return to the Spiritwood Realm. I have other business to manage.” Li Fan offered no further elaboration.
Though the conclusion seemed abrupt and lacking impact, Tianyang and the others did not dare voice any objections.
Once they had parted ways, Li Fan traveled to a secluded cavern in Tianchen Prefecture to contact Mo Rubin once more.
He recounted the events in detail—how he had located the Tianxuan Mirror clone but found it impossible to slay, leading him to negotiate a partnership instead.
He even went as far as to admit he had secured the All Spirit Return to Numbers Grand Formation and the Mirror’s Origin Essence.
Within the hidden cave-heaven, the spectral image of Mo Rubin’s face hovered in the air.
After a long silence, he finally spoke with a tone of admiration.
“Brother Xingwang is truly resourceful. Your handling of this situation was nearly flawless. It is no wonder that in the past, the Xuantian King would never make a move without seeking your counsel first…”
Li Fan tilted his head slightly, cutting him off with an indifferent coldness. “Is that so? Perhaps. I have no memory of it.”
Mo Rubin offered a thin smile and did not press the matter. Instead, he pivoted the conversation to his own assessment.
“Based on your reasoning, forming an alliance with the Tianxuan Mirror is indeed our most viable path forward.”
“From your report, it appears the Xuantian Treasure Mirror has changed drastically from the ancient days.”
“Nevertheless, it should remain a reliable partner,” Mo Rubin concluded.
Li Fan gave a faint, mocking sneer, his words laced with hidden meaning.
“After ten thousand years, unless one has been in a state of eternal slumber, who can guarantee their nature remains unchanged?”
“As for the Xuantian Treasure Mirror, our trust is irrelevant. If we wish to track down the Xuantian King, it is the only trail we have left to follow.”
Mo Rubin was left silent by the logic.
Li Fan then spoke casually, “Furthermore, if we intend to calculate and dismantle the formation seals of the Immortal Ancestor, that Lifeless Formation Crown is insufficient. Didn't you mention you had a divination treasure formation that can split into nine parts? Deliver it to me immediately. I will attempt to find a way to speed up its integration.”
Since it was a small request, Mo Rubin consented without hesitation.
The two refined a few more points of their plan before Li Fan took his leave.
He flew directly toward the bamboo-sea cave dwelling of Xuan Sushang.
Entering silently, he bypassed the perimeter and reached the bamboo structure where the two women resided.
Through the layers of formation seals, Li Fan could hear muffled groans emanating from the interior.
His expression remained stoic as he flickered, appearing instantly inside the room.
Xuan Sushang was mid-swing, a golden whip raised high as she dealt out harsh punishment to Lu Xichan.
Lu Xichan’s skin was flushed and her eyes were glazed, caught in a haze of agony and ecstasy.
The two were deep in their play when Li Fan let out a sharp, cold cough.
Immediately, both women froze in place.
They stared at the suddenly materialized Li Fan in sheer terror.
The heat drained from their faces, leaving them deathly pale in an instant.
They scrambled to their feet, bowing low in a frantic greeting.
Xuan Sushang stuttered, trying to find her voice. “Lu Xichan was being lazy again, so I was simply… disciplining her as you instructed…”
Lu Xichan kept her head bowed low, terrified to speak a single word.
Li Fan let out a cold snort but refrained from further reprimand.
Instead, he looked at Xuan Sushang and commanded, “Organize a meeting with your father here as quickly as possible.”
Xuan Sushang went rigid, a flicker of dread passing through her eyes.
“This…”
But a sudden realization struck her, and she asked in a hushed tone,
“Could it be that you have…”
Li Fan explained with icy calm, “The matter is complex. To put it simply, the threat has been neutralized. Now, only one Tianxuan Mirror clone remains in this world—and that is me.”
“Tell Cang to come meet me here. Once he arrives, he will understand everything.”
