My Celestial Ascension Chapter 3 Twin Heart Soul Body

Previously on My Celestial Ascension...
Yuan, reborn with a mysterious system, began to explore his new abilities, receiving a beginner's gift pack with cultivation techniques and a powerful sword. He learned of his new body's weakness and the existence of a system spirit named Nora. However, his newfound excitement was quickly overshadowed by the revelation that his new mother was gravely ill, with only a short time left to live. Determined to save her, Yuan entered his mother's room.

"Mom...?"

As soon as Yuan spotted the woman lying in the bed, he impulsively called out to her while rushing toward her side.

"Mmm... Yuan? Is that you?" Anna Grace Blank spoke up the moment the door opened and a young man's voice filled the room; she recognized it instantly and could never mistake it for anyone else's.

"I am here—yes, Mom! How are you feeling?" Yuan sat on the edge of the bed and took her hand in his, beginning to massage it tenderly with deep affection.

"It really is you, my darling. I feared something terrible had happened. Why didn't you come to speak with me yesterday, sweetheart? Do you have any idea how much I worried?" She sobbed quietly while held in his arms, her heart filled with guilt. As a mother, her duty was to provide for him, yet her illness had confined her to this bed, leaving her without even the strength to reach out and touch her son's face. She had nearly lost all hope, believing no one in this world could cure her ailment.

Deep down, she still prayed for a miracle so she could stand by her children and give them her entire heart once more.

'I'm sorry, Mom. I can't tell you that the old Yuan you knew is gone,' Yuan confessed silently, feeling a pang of remorse.

"Mom! Look at me, I'm perfectly fine. I was just busy with something vital for our family at the town square yesterday. Please forgive me, Mom, I love you!" Yuan spoke with a warm smile, admiring her soft, black-and-white hair, though he felt a secret guilt for lying about the previous day's events.

"Mom! Little Yuan is telling the truth; he was working very hard on a crucial task yesterday." Standing beside Yuan, Lily echoed his words in agreement. She wanted to prevent their mother from suffering any more stress than she already endured.

"Is that so, dear? I am so proud of you." She offered her son a radiant smile and wiped a stray tear, heartened to see he had become responsible enough to care for the family. While Lily was thrilled, she still felt a bit uneasy about the lie; why had Yuan truly been unable to visit his mother yesterday?

'I vow that I will find a remedy for Mom's condition quickly!' Yuan made a silent, heartfelt promise to heal her. Suddenly, an inspiration struck him.

'The system. Yes, the system is a magical existence—it must know what is happening to her!' Yuan contemplated the possibility of the system diagnosing his mother's mysterious condition.

"Nora, hey! Can you scan my mother's physique and identify the problem...?" he questioned the system, searching for any information that might lead to her recovery.

[Certainly, host! It will be finished in a moment, so please wait.] Nora replied enthusiastically before using her power to scan his mother's body.

He prayed there was a way to save her, even if it required risking his own life. He refused to become an orphan again.

When Nora finally responded, a flicker of hope ignited within Yuan that his mother’s years of agony might finally end.

[Host! What I have found will astonish you! This is a true marvel!] Nora’s voice soon echoed in his mind, bursting with excitement as she shared her discovery.

Yuan raised an eyebrow and demanded, "What did you find out about Mom? Tell me everything. Can her condition be cured?" Though his patience was wearing thin, he pressed Nora for answers.

[In response to your query, your mother is not ill at all!] Nora declared.

"What? If she isn't sick, then how do you explain her state? Tell me!" He was baffled by Nora's claim. How could she say such a thing? He was utterly perplexed by the system's words.

[Do not be confused! You didn't let me finish. Your mother isn't sick; rather, her condition is extremely rare, appearing only a few times in a billion years. It is a miracle; I never expected to find something so incredible in this tiny world.]

"Tsk. Just explain it clearly, Nora. This is beyond my understanding!" Yuan tried to remain objective as the system continued.

[As I stated, your mother has no illness; her extraordinary body is the cause. She possesses a physical constitution known as the Twin Heart Soul Body. This means she has two hearts and two souls within a single frame, along with two distinct personalities. She even has the potential to split into two separate beings before merging back into one. Because this planet lacks cultivators and she has no Cultivation methods, her body is starving for Qi to function. It is unfortunate that not a single cultivator remains alive in this world,] Nora clarified.

"Now that I think about it, she did act like a completely different person many times in the past... so that's the reason, huh?" Yuan realized, the pieces finally falling into place. However, one question remained: how could he save her?

"Now that we know the cause, you should be able to tell me how to treat her, right?" Yuan asked, his impatience growing.

[Host! It is quite simple; you merely need to provide her with Cultivation methods to practice, and she will return to normal in less than a day,] Nora stated.

"That sounds too easy... Am I missing something?" Yuan asked in a trembling voice, hardly able to believe his ears.

[Yes, host! I guarantee she will be fine once she begins her Cultivation. However, her current state is too weak to begin; you must first buy a healing medicine from the system shop of at least middle-grade quality. This will repair her physical injuries so she can start practicing,] Nora reaffirmed.

A look of profound relief washed over Yuan's face, as if he had just recovered his most precious treasure.

"What's wrong, little brother? Why are you acting so strange?" Lily asked, growing concerned as she watched her brother grin uncontrollably, remembering he had been injured just the day before.

Without thinking, he blurted out to his mother and sister, "It's nothing, I just found a way to cure Mom's disease!"

"It isn't funny to joke about such things, little brother," Lily frowned.

"Are you certain, son? Have you truly found a treatment? I always believed you would find a way for me one day!" Unlike his sister, his mother trusted his words completely, knowing he wouldn't joke about something so grave.

"I have found a cure, and I am not joking!" Yuan insisted, meeting their eyes with a look of absolute seriousness.

"Brother, is that true? Can you really heal Mom?" Lily asked, seeing the conviction in his gaze.

After the system notifications confirmed his success, he retrieved the healing pill.

"Mom, taking this will allow your body to function properly again. It’s a temporary measure; afterward, I will give you something to heal you completely!" Yuan explained, holding out a pill. As he opened the bottle, a beautiful, aromatic floral scent filled the room.

"I have tried many potions before, sweetheart, and none worked," Anna remarked as she opened her mouth. "But I have never seen a medicine like this. I will try it and hope for the best, even if it is only temporary." Since she couldn't move, Yuan gently placed the pill in her mouth for her to swallow.

Gulp!

As soon as she swallowed it, she felt her body begin to heat up. Soon, vapor started rising from her skin. Her frail, thin frame began to transform before their eyes as her pale skin rejuvenated. Her gaunt appearance vanished, replaced by a stunningly beautiful body with long legs and exquisite curves, like a goddess of beauty. Her face became radiant and captivating. Once the process finished, she touched her face and moved her limbs like an excited child, having almost forgotten the sensation of movement.

"Is this a dream... or am I hallucinating?" Anna asked, her limbs finally free after years of paralysis.

"Mom! This is reality, not a fantasy. You're truly recovered! I'm so happy for you!" Lily cried, overwhelmed by her emotions. These were tears of pure joy; her mother's recovery made this the happiest day of her life.

"Not a dream? Then that means I..." She pulled her son into a fierce bear hug, sobbing into his chest. She had longed to hold him but had been unable to due to her condition. Against all odds, she could finally embrace him. She held him as if he might disappear. Yuan didn't mind; he hugged her back, stroking her hair, which was now softer than ever. Soon, Lily joined the embrace, unable to bear being left out.
