Dusk had already settled over the city by the time the pair finalized their contract and departed from the Beast Taming Shop to head home.

Gu Xing pushed the door open, only to freeze when he saw a familiar figure waiting inside.

"Sister?"

Gu Qianqian turned toward him, her chestnut ponytail swaying in a graceful arc.

"Xiao Xing, you’re back?" She smiled and waved at him. "Come, let's eat."

Her attention shifted to Liu Li, who was sitting perfectly upright. A spark of interest lit up her eyes. "Is she your Guardian Beast?"

The young girl instantly stiffened her back, placing her hands neatly upon her knees.

Hearing Gu Qianqian’s inquiry, she suddenly performed a perfect ninety-degree bow, her forehead hitting the tabletop with a loud "bang."

"Hello, sister!"

Startled for a moment, Gu Qianqian soon burst into laughter at the charming display. "There's no need for such formality; we are family now."

Liu Li finally looked up, her face flushed a bright red as she nodded repeatedly like a pecking chick.

Once the laughter died down, Gu Qianqian’s demeanor turned serious.

Setting her chopsticks aside, she looked Gu Xing directly in the eye.

"A safe zone has been cordoned off by the military within the Alternate Space where the strongest monsters are only level 5. This is the premier chance for beginners."

Gu Xing gave a silent nod of understanding.

Because humanoid Beasts represent immense combat potential, Gu Xing and Liu Li drew immediate attention the moment they arrived.

However, the crowd soon realized the truth regarding this humanoid Beast.

"Isn't that Gu Xing? I thought he sold his summoned humanoid Beast to the Chen Family? Where did this one come from?"

"I remember now! That Beast was summoned at the altar last year. She's supposed to be a total dud!"

The Enchanting Demon let out a soft, suggestive moan. She rolled her eyes inwardly but kept a fawning smile on her face.

The onlookers quickly began to flatter him:

Gu Xing watched Chen Ziming’s performance with a tranquil expression, a faint smile even playing on his lips.
