My Beast Is the 12-Winged Angel Chapter 436 - 437: Now! Take Action!

Previously on My Beast Is the 12-Winged Angel...
After revealing to Little Lizi that he is an ordinary human who mastered power, Gu Xing ignites a spark of rebellion within the oppressed miners. While the humans find their resolve to fight back, Gu Xing leads them toward the heart of the mine to confront the ruling powers. Meanwhile, inside the Beast Taming Space, Long Qingyan struggles with intense pressure and self-doubt as Gu Xing prepares to force her to awaken her true potential against overwhelming odds. The group eventually reaches a massive cavern where two Totem Level Demon Race leaders are decreeing even more brutal conditions for their thousands of human captives.

Gu Xing observed the unfolding scene from a distance, his gaze saturated with icy indifference. Witnessing the suffering of the Human Race firsthand was the only way to truly grasp their lowly standing in this realm. They were treated as nothing more than livestock—no different from pigs or dogs!

Standing beside Gu Xing was the elderly miner, whose body was racked with violent tremors. His fear was so overwhelming that his teeth chattered audibly as he spoke: "Div... Divine Envoy! Those two figures on the elevated platform... they are the commanders in charge of this entire mining operation."

Gu Xing wasn't shocked by the old man's terror. It was evident that the Demon Race had cast a permanent shadow of trauma over their souls. However, he had come today specifically to tear that shadow asunder.

"Is there a method to approach them without triggering a massive disturbance?" Gu Xing inquired. The primary phase of his strategy required him to get close to those two Totem-level Demon Clan leaders.

The old miner fought to suppress his internal dread upon hearing the question. Recalling the brutal regulations of the mine, he answered with a shaky voice: "Usually... only the miners who rebel or incite chaos are dragged by Demon Soldiers to that platform. Those commanders execute them publicly using the most sadistic methods imaginable! That... that is the only time one can get anywhere near them."

Gu Xing nodded slowly at this revelation. He then inspected his current state. Although his Soul Body had achieved a solid form, the flickering, chaotic light of the environment made him vulnerable to suspicion. He pulled the tattered miner’s cloak tighter around his frame, the wide brim of his hat casting a deep shadow that obscured his features into a vague silhouette. Under the cover of the ragged fabric and the dim lighting, the illusory nature of his Soul Body became difficult to detect.

Once his preparations were complete, Gu Xing fixed his sights on a nearby Commander Level demon overseer. The creature was shouting at the workers while lashing out with a whip. Gu Xing crouched slightly, his fingers closing around a jagged shard of ore on the ground. Suddenly, he snapped his wrist with explosive power!

"Whoosh——!"

The ore projectile cut through the air with a sharp whistle, striking the demon overseer precisely on the back of its skull! A crisp "Smack!" echoed through the area. Even though the stone failed to penetrate the demon's natural armor, the suddenness of the strike instantly provoked the creature's rage.

"Roar!! Which pathetic insect dared to strike me?!" The demon overseer spun around violently, his crimson eyes searching the crowd like twin spotlights. He quickly zeroed in on Gu Xing, who remained in a throwing stance with what appeared to be a mocking smirk visible beneath his hat. "It was you, you filthy worm! You seek death!"

The overseer bellowed in fury, his massive demonic claw slicing through the air as he lunged for Gu Xing. Despite being the lowest rank in the mine's hierarchy, crushing a miner who dared to provoke it was as effortless as stepping on an ant.

Gu Xing offered no resistance as the attack descended; he deliberately suppressed his aura and allowed the demonic claw to seize his shoulder and hoist him into the air. "Hmph! Brainless fool! This is the perfect moment to turn you into a warning for the others!" The overseer sneered, dragging the compliant Gu Xing toward the central high platform.

The commotion immediately captured the attention of every miner and demon within the cavern. A quiet ripple of unease spread through the masses as countless eyes locked onto Gu Xing. Their gazes were heavy with pity and dread. Was another comrade destined for a public execution? From the shadows in the distance, the old miner watched with his heart hammering against his ribs. His fists were clenched so tightly that his nails drew blood from his palms. Even though he knew this was intentional, seeing the Divine Envoy treated so roughly by a demon filled him with profound anxiety.

Up on the platform, the two Totem-level demons ceased their private conversation. Their attention shifted to Gu Xing as he was hauled up. To them, he was just another idiotic insect; they had slaughtered hundreds of such wretches before. It was actually convenient, as they needed a fresh sacrifice to reinforce a new decree they had just issued. However, as Gu Xing was brought within ten feet of them, both Totem-level demons frowned simultaneously, a flash of confusion crossing their features.

Something felt wrong. Though the miner appeared broken and weak, a faint, instinctive sense of peril tickled their senses. This human projected a subtle aura of... threat. The sensation was incredibly faint, yet it was undeniably there. At their level of power, their intuition regarding danger never manifested without cause. This seemingly mundane miner was clearly not what he appeared to be.

"What is the meaning of this?" one of the demons demanded in a low, resonant voice.

The Commander Level overseer bowed deeply and responded, "Reporting to the Lords! This two-legged sheep had the audacity to ambush me with a stone! He deserves ten thousand deaths! I have brought him here for your judgment!"

The second Totem-level demon narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing Gu Xing, who stood with his head bowed in silence. He searched for the origin of that lingering sense of danger, but because Gu Xing had completely retracted his immense Spiritual Power, the demon found nothing out of the ordinary.

"Lift your head!" The command rang out through the deathly silent cave. Some of the more perceptive miners could feel the suffocating tension building on the platform. Gu Xing remained motionless with his head down, appearing paralyzed by fear. In reality, he was transmitting a final directive to Long Qingyan within the Beast Taming Space via their temporary bond: "Qingyan, get ready... manifest the Law Body!"

Inside the Beast Taming Space, the Little Dragon Maiden, Long Qingyan, felt her delicate frame shudder. Her eyes surged with panic. What should she do? She could clearly sense the overwhelming Totem-level pressure radiating from the outside. These were genuine Totem-level entities! She was terrified; she had never been able to successfully utilize this technique. This human had placed all his trust in her—if she failed now...

No! She couldn't allow that to happen! Taking a ragged breath to steady her nerves, she began to frantically circulate her internal energy. She reached out to grasp at the external forces drifting between heaven and earth—the Power of Laws—which she had never truly mastered. Success had always eluded her in the past, but now, with this human gambling everything on her, failure was not an option!

On the platform, the Totem-level demon lost his patience when Gu Xing failed to respond. A murderous light flickered in his eyes. "Enough games! Show me your true face!" Without waiting, he lunged a claw forward, intending to rip the hat away and expose Gu Xing's identity. Just as the Demonic Qi was about to connect—

Gu Xing snapped his head up! Beneath the shadow of the miner’s hat, there was no expression of terror. Instead, he revealed a pair of eyes as cold as the abyss, looking at the demon as if it were already a corpse.

"Now! Strike!"
