My attributes are increasing infinitely Chapter 389: Progenitor of the Human race
Previously on My attributes are increasing infinitely...
"Nini, explain your current capabilities to me," Ethan commanded.
"Master, I am presently able to house a dimension equivalent to the internal space of a Primordial being.
My time field has been upgraded to accelerate the flow of time by one hundred thousand times.
Furthermore, I can shield you from the prying perception of any entity up to two realms above your own."
Ethan was left speechless by her report.
"Are you claiming that since you are linked to my origin, you can hide me from anyone two realms higher? Since I am at the Emperor level, you can already obstruct the gaze of a Primordial. Does this mean if I reach the Progenitor realm, you could even block a Genesis realm existence?"
"That is correct, Master. However, a final limit likely exists, which I must personally verify through testing," Nini answered softly.
"Even with that caveat, it is more than sufficient. I shall utilize your time field immediately."
Just as Ethan prepared to step into the space cube, a sudden portal manifested beneath him, and he plummeted directly into the void.
Though he could have easily fought the suction, he decided against it. He was curious to see where this path led.
A moment later, Ethan found himself inside a cavern. It was cramped, narrow, and deathly still, appearing as though it had been abandoned by the ages.
At the cavern's edge, a human figure was seated in a cross-legged position.
The body was unmistakably deceased, yet it radiated faint, lingering signs of life force.
Ethan began to walk slowly toward the remains.
The instant he stepped past an unseen boundary roughly five meters from the corpse, his body was violently crushed into the floor.
The sheer pressure radiating from the dead body was so immense that Ethan could not even fathom its original realm.
Blood sprayed from his mouth, nose, and eyes.
For the first time in an age, Ethan felt the cold shadow of true death looming over him.
'Is this how I end? Like a common weakling, extinguished by nothing more than the leftover pressure of a high-level corpse?'
He refused to submit to such a fate.
Just as hopelessness began to take root in his mind, the crushing weight vanished instantly.
Ethan pushed himself up from the ground. His wounds mended in seconds, leaving no trace of the trauma.
A soul projection slowly manifested above the body.
"Greetings. I apologize for greeting you in such a violent fashion. My name is Edrin Solace. It is an honor to meet you," the spirit introduced itself in a gentle tone.
Ethan remained unfazed. He knew that supreme beings frequently left behind soul fragments as sentinels, messengers, or lingering wills.
"I am Ethan Hunt," he answered evenly. "Might I ask why I was brought here?"
"You carry the Aura of Oblivion within your soul. I detected its presence the moment you arrived on this world."
"The Aura of Oblivion?" Ethan asked with a frown. "What exactly is that?"
"Did you recently have an encounter with a bizarre red eye that vowed to destroy you?" the soul inquired softly.
Ethan’s pupils contracted.
"How are you aware of that?"
"Because I endured a similar experience," Edrin replied, a faint smile touching his lips.
"So you know of its existence?" Ethan’s gaze turned icy and sharp.
"I am not only aware of it; I tried to escape this cage a long time ago. That attempt cost me my life."
"What realm had you attained?" Ethan questioned.
"I reached the Source Authority Realm. That stands six realms above the Progenitor Realm. Even then, there is one final realm above that within this cage: the Absolute Continuum Realm."
Ethan drew a sharp breath.
"Is there truly a ceiling to power? It seems my previous theory was flawed. I assumed power progression was infinite, but that certain thresholds were simply impassable."
"Oh?" Edrin looked genuinely intrigued. "You developed such a theory yourself, despite being at such a low realm? You are quite the rarity. Your deduction was nearly accurate, save for one detail."
"What detail?" Ethan asked.
"There are no infinite realms. The hierarchy of realms is set."
"The Absolute Continuum Realm is the peak, and only two beings reside there. Their strength grows without end, yet no one else is permitted to reach that height. They are the anchors of this cage."
"And they also act as its executioners."
"The red eye you saw is known as the One Above All. He is the Absolute Continuum Being governing the positive plane of existence. He has marked you for death," the soul explained gravely.
"So no one can attain the Absolute Continuum Realm because of those two, let alone transcend the cage system itself. Is that the truth?" Ethan asked coldly.
"Exactly. I tried to pursue it despite the warnings. Consequently, he ended me. However, I established this inheritance long before my demise and detached its karma from my own being."
"You mentioned that you tried. That implies you found a path," Ethan noted. "What was it?"
"If you listen further, you will take on my karma along with your own," Edrin warned. "Do you still wish to proceed?"
"Yes," Ethan replied without a moment's doubt.
"Very well."
Edrin signaled for Ethan to sit. Both figures sat cross-legged, facing each other.
"To break free from this cage, two requirements must be met. First, you must forge a law that is not among the three thousand laws. Second, you must establish your own race."
"After eons of study, I realized that each of the three thousand laws was birthed by three thousand distinct entities."
"I suspect those entities reside outside this cage."
"Each of them commands their own race. I reached this conclusion by studying every race within this prison."
"There are roughly two thousand nine hundred original races here. Every other race is merely a descendant of them."
"I believe the missing one hundred exist elsewhere, beyond the reach of my senses."
"Every original race is the embodiment of a single law."
"This is why I birthed the human race. A race designed with the potential to house any law."
"My plan was to eventually bind my own unique law to them once it was perfected."
"But I met with failure."
"I could never successfully create my own law. My persistent efforts drew the ire of the One Above All, and he executed me."
"This is why the human race is loathed by all of creation. They are under constant surveillance because of their limitless potential."
Edrin fell silent.
Ethan sat motionless, his thoughts racing.
He was in the presence of the progenitor of all humanity.
"So my task is to create my own race, one that carries only my unique law," Ethan said slowly.
"That is merely my theory," Edrin replied. "But given the reactions of the overseers, it is likely correct."
"However, merely creating a race is not enough. That race must be able to compete with the original races. Every member of those races is born at a level exceeding the Primordial Realm."
Ethan felt a wave of dizziness.
He was currently only an Emperor.
Suddenly, a memory flashed in his mind.
He remembered the girl who had attacked him.
She had identified herself as part of the Genesis Vampire Race.
That must be an original race.
Their essence was likely tied to the Law of Blood.
"You are contemplating the creation of a race," Edrin spoke softly. "Why not aim higher?"
"Become the true progenitor of the entire human race and transform it into an origin race."
"I can see that you possess potential far greater than mine ever was."
