MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 987: Galactical Revisitation

Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos watched in sorrow as his rare friend Lucian Darkheart succumbed to death after their fierce battle, his vitality and Mana Rank draining away into oblivion. Lamenting his lifelong isolation and the irreplaceable bond they shared, Aaaninja unleashed his restored mana to defy fate, activating Causal Nexus Control to twist causality and preserve Lucian's life. Though the effort exacted a brutal toll on his body, it faltered against an unknown higher force, compelling him to summon the River Of Time for aid. The sentient river advised focusing solely on Lucian's survival, sacrificing his powers for now, and responded by manifesting its colossal eye to flood Aaaninja with unfathomable temporal energies and knowledge.

Aaaninja's voice ripped across the Arcanis Galaxy;

Right as those words escaped his mouth, the Galaxy burst apart in a devastating surge of catastrophic force and savage eruptions; entire solar systems vanished into oblivion, worlds got obliterated leaving no traces behind, the emptiness twisted inward through chaotic whirlpools, celestial bodies like suns and stars extinguished and erased as if they had never shone at all.

Deep within, the Arcanis Galaxy's heart quaked with ancient terror, fractured beneath unbearable strain, and then exploded in a frenzied inward collapse that ravaged all and none at once, dismantling levels of existence in a manner that challenged standard cosmic logic.

Total annihilation claimed the Arcanis Galaxy, along with every single thing that had ever filled its vast reaches. Even the Spirit King fell victim; timeless entities hidden in secret realms wiped away before they could react or grasp the chaos. Now, just six survivors lingered from the former vastness of the Arcanis Galaxy.

Klaus and his spouse Amara stood unharmed, their immense strength allowing them to endure a full galactic blast without a mark. Their child Vega stayed perfectly guarded under their watch. Anthony existed as a freakish outlier on a wholly separate plane, following rules beyond normal measures. Lastly, Aaaninja and Lucian endured.

These six drifted through the sparse remnants of the once-majestic Arcanis Galaxy, after Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos unleashed ruin by tapping into a strength that barely belonged in this Universe's realm.

Yet in this instant, Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos differed from the one they recognized. He hovered like the Time Sovereign in person, his aura defying all grasp.

Once again, his mouth opened, and his tone resounded, strangely reverberating across the empty expanse.

When those words emerged from him, mana neither twisted nor reacted, since Authority demanded no mana. It operated independent of energy. This power tier stood beyond mana or any fuel's control or sway. It thrived solely on insight, mastery, and rule over core concepts. And none could rival the time knowledge held by the River Of Time itself, which streamed endless wisdom directly into Aaaninja right then.

Upon activating that Authority, the void flickered. Rules, structure, and genesis locked back into position like reality had just slipped for a second. The obliterated Arcanis Galaxy reformed, not bit by bit or through building, but via Aaaninja yanking an earlier version of the Galaxy from a set moment in history and forcing it onto the now. He skipped reconstruction; he restored it outright.

Such overwhelming might defined him in that precise instant.

Existence bloomed anew. Energy surged across the Galaxy. Stars flared back to life, suns blazed once more, moons reshaped, worlds slid into their exact paths as if no disaster had struck. All the lost lives revived under Aaaninja’s command over time.

Aaaninja, Lucian, and the rest materialized smoothly inside the revived Galaxy. Victims of the earlier doom stayed clueless about it, their thoughts and perceptions never catching the wipeout or its undo; for them, continuity never broke.

The River Of Time, appearing overhead as a massive golden entity, faded at once. The huge eye above splintered into Temporal Motes then scattered away, as the River Of Time pulled back from the Arcanis Galaxy, fading from sight entirely.

The staggering strength and baffling wisdom Aaaninja commanded slipped away as suddenly as it came. He snapped back to normal, cut off from primal time rule. In the blink after, he dropped to his knees, drained beyond measure.

His gaze turned to Lucian, and soon a weak grin touched his mouth as he saw the rebound stopped. Lucian lived on. Still, he lingered as a shell of his former self, his Mana Rank locked forever at SSS+ Rank.

Despite this epic feat, grief squeezed Aaaninja’s chest hard. He preserved Lucian’s survival, but failed full recovery. The River Of Time warned it couldn't lift him to past heights, the rebound having devoured it all. This went beyond mere time reversal or state reset. Some superior power meddled, outstripping Temporal Authority.

In rescuing Lucian Darkheart, Aaaninja first obliterated the Arcanis Galaxy holding him. With the whole Galaxy gone, the rebound figured Lucian perished and faded. Only afterward did Aaaninja summon the Galaxy from history, dodging the rebound's hold via twisted logic play.

Aaaninja felt little worry over Lucian's diminished body. They could fix his looks; plenty of items and relics worked for that, like the Water Of Life or Sap Of The World Tree.

Lucian still couldn't muster words or gratitude toward Aaaninja, his frailty too deep, but he grasped all that happened. His awareness stayed keen amid the weakness.

Before Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos uttered a word or moved further, a pale streak appeared at his back. No turn needed to identify the figure. The silver hair, sharp blue stare, and striking features marked him uniquely.

Null Anthony.

"Rest well, you have tried. I will take it from here, my friend," Anthony’s voice murmured gently into Aaaninja’s ears. A soft smile crossed Aaaninja’s face. He lacked details on Anthony’s plan, but trusted his capability. With that comfort, he passed out instantly, mental fatigue overwhelming him after pulling off cosmic madness.

Anthony’s All Seeing Eyes fixed on Lucian Darkheart. He let out a breath and gave a small head shake. For Anthony, fixing it proved ridiculously straightforward.

His mouth opened as he declared;

In his view, the fabric of being and reality frayed into complex strands, chains of cause and effect peeling apart. Anthony required no effort. He merely looked at Lucian, his azure eyes pinning the rebound strand clinging to him like a leeching cord.

With a mere mental flick, Anthony broke the strand apart. It evaporated right away. The world steadied in his sight, its woven strands merging back into solid form.

Moments later, Lucian sensed a rush of known, crushing vigor. Life force roared through him wildly. His pulse thundered in his torso. His weak build vanished as youth reclaimed him, silver locks shifting to ebony on the spot.

Mana whipped around in a rising storm of thickness as his Mana Rank climbed, smashing barrier after barrier back to its top level. His abilities sparked alive in spirit and essence as bonds to them reformed deeply. His system restarted without hitch, syncing perfectly online.

And so, Lucian Darkheart’s eyes blinked awake. His dark stare landed on Anthony and the unconscious Aaaninja drifting nearby.

Lucian Darkheart stood rescued, whole and restored, thanks to the united work of his sole companions, Aaaninja Chronisynth Eternos and Null Anthony.
