MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 908: I Do
Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
High in the sky of the Celestial Planet, Anthony, Aura Nova, Aaaninja, Lucian, and their companions materialized amidst a sea of drifting, pure white clouds. The surrounding air felt divine and boundless, carrying an aura of profound peace. They had just moved through Anthony’s portal from the Ramen Singularity Timeline, transitioning between worlds as easily as walking through an unlocked door.
Aaaninja cast a quiet, calculating glance toward Anthony. "He can bypass every rune and formation designed to lock down the Celestial Solar System," he realized privately. Under any other circumstances, the defenses of this realm were absolute and ancient; no one but the Celestials themselves should have been able to enter. Yet, Anthony had stepped past those barriers as if they were nonexistent. Ultimately, Aaaninja brushed the thought aside. Since it was Anthony, such impossible feats were to be expected.
"It is strange," Aura Nova remarked, floating serenely beside the group with a composed expression. "Even though we only just departed the Ramen Singularity Timeline, it feels as if a lifetime has passed since then."
"I agree completely," Altheria said, tilting her chin up to look at the brilliant sun above. "Looking at the Acarnis Galaxy now, it feels like it lacks so much in terms of style, architecture, and visual wonder."
Vega let out a playful, casual laugh from the sidelines. "What are you complaining for? You are Aaaninja’s girlfriend. Just ask him to take you back whenever you want; I am certain he would be thrilled to do so."
With a gentle smile, Altheria nodded. "That is a fair point." She was well aware that Aaaninja would never refuse such a request.
"We should be focusing on you, Vega," Veronica interjected with a calm, knowing tone.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Vega asked, lifting an eyebrow in curiosity.
"You were already talking to Anthony about visiting a cake or ice cream Timeline," Veronica pointed out with a smirk. "And you didn't exactly sound like you were inviting the rest of us. I suspect you would have slipped away with Anthony without saying a word to anyone."
Vega offered a light grin. "I wouldn't do that. There is no harm in everyone coming along. We did join Aaaninja and Altheria on their little trip, didn't we?"
Veronica said nothing more, though her steady smile made it clear she didn't believe her friend's excuse for a second.
Aaaninja suddenly raised his hand, causing the fabric of space to fold at his command. In a flash, the group vanished and reappeared instantly within the borders of a massive family estate.
"Now that the Ramen Singularity Timeline is behind us, I believe it is time for our duel to commence," Lucian declared, his voice filled with an unrestrained hunger for combat.
Aura Nova’s lips curled into a faint smile at his words. This confrontation was the primary reason she had come, and the moment had finally arrived. Kingsley maintained his usual silence, yet his aura radiated anticipation for the upcoming clash against Aaaninja, Lucian, and Aura Nova. His previous loss to Anthony had not broken his spirit or his self-belief; instead, he viewed this battle as another necessary step to refine his martial arts and reach greater heights of Cultivation.
Aaaninja remained quiet, but his sharp gaze settled on Anthony, signaling his readiness for a rematch. Anthony stood there perfectly relaxed, his posture oozing confidence as he prepared to meet any challenge head-on.
Anthony’s thoughts briefly returned to the Omni Peak Academy exam, where he had taken on the entire top ten rankers at once simply to save time. 'Perhaps I should just repeat that,' he contemplated. He felt entirely capable of fighting Aaaninja, Lucian, Aura Nova, and Kingsley simultaneously and still coming out on top.
Vega and Veronica looked at one another and shook their heads at the same time.
"These men are nothing but battle-crazed fools," Vega sighed. Despite possessing planetary-level combat strength herself, she had no desire to join the fray.
"I think they are starting to rub off on Aura Nova," Altheria noted, observing the lingering smile on the woman’s face.
Vega shook her head in disagreement. "No, I think she has always been this way. She admitted she came here specifically to meet these battle-hungry boys. It seems she craves the fight just as much as they do."
"Well, I certainly don't mind being a spectator," Veronica added enthusiastically. "Why would I miss a show like this? At the very least, we will finally see their true power and determine who truly stands at the top."
Altheria turned her gaze toward Vega. "So, do you believe Anthony will be the winner?"
Vega’s purple eyes met Altheria’s as she countered, "Do you honestly think he won't?"
"Aaaninja may have lost before, but he wouldn't challenge Anthony again without being certain of himself," Altheria replied firmly. Her voice was thick with conviction. She believed her man would finally break through the wall he had been training to surpass for the last three years.
"Love has clearly blinded you," Vega said with a small, amused smile. "But I suppose it makes sense. I haven't seen Aaaninja’s full power, and you haven't seen Anthony’s, so it’s natural to back the person you know best."
"What about you then?" Altheria asked, looking at Veronica. "Do you believe your man is going to win?"
Veronica paused for a moment. Having spent six months by Lucian's side, she was intimately familiar with his terrifying abilities and overwhelming might. She eventually nodded. "I do."
"I suppose everyone is just rooting for their own partner," Vega said, a smile playing on her lips.
Romulus, who had been perched silently on Vega’s head, finally spoke up. "It seems no one is rooting for Aura Nova. What happened to women supporting women, or does that sentiment vanish when romance is involved?" His golden eyes remained fixed on the fighters, never straying toward the girls.
Altheria, Vega, and Veronica were silent for a beat. Then, Vega replied shamelessly, "I’m sure her own man will support her once she actually finds one." Altheria and Veronica simply nodded in agreement, offering no further defense.
