MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 876 - Capítulo 876: Impossible Path

Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
Aaaninja observes Kingsley’s inexplicable physical power, prompting Anthony to warn him that Kingsley is an anomaly beyond the comprehension of the River of Time. Despite Aaaninja's confidence in his own ability to master hand-to-hand combat, he remains unaware that Kingsley’s martial perfection is a unique cosmic blessing that cannot be replicated. As the group discusses the extraordinary talent originating from the Blue Planet, Aura arrives with Akira to join the gathering. The companions share a moment of casual camaraderie in the void of the cosmos, their relaxed conversation masking the immense, world-shaking power they each possess.

Aura Nova’s gaze drifted toward Aaaninja, Anthony, and Lucian as she spoke, her expression tranquil yet laced with a quiet curiosity. “Now that you have witnessed the extent of my powers, what are your thoughts?” she inquired. A subtle smile played upon her lips as she voiced the question.

While she was naturally a composed woman who maintained impeccable poise, usually indifferent to anything outside her personal interests, Aura Nova harbored a deep-seated pride in her strength and abilities. This wasn't the shallow vanity of an arrogant Cultivator looking down on others, but the firm confidence of an expert who understood the true limits of her own power.

Aaaninja, Anthony, and Lucian remained silent for a brief interval. The surrounding air seemed to hang in that stillness, as if the world itself was waiting for a response. Eventually, the silence was shattered.

“I won't deny it,” Lucian remarked at last, his voice sounding casual but sincere. “The things you can do are absurd. To be able to distort the fundamental layers of reality based solely on your thoughts, with mana being your only constraint… that is terrifying.” He paused, a small grin surfacing. “However, that doesn’t change the reality that we still don't know which of us is truly superior.”

Lucian’s smile grew wider as he added, “If you wish, we can settle the matter of who is stronger right here. There is no reason to wait for the author to decide the 'perfect' moment for our paths to cross.”

Aura Nova smiled upon hearing Lucian’s challenge. In truth, she felt the urge to test herself against him. Regarding his final comment, she gave no outward sign of surprise. Being a dedicated reader, she had long ago grown accustomed to characters who shattered the fourth wall. It didn't startle her; she simply accepted the remark as if it were the most mundane thing in the world.

“This isn't the right time or place, Lucian,” Aaaninja cut in smoothly. “The moment for our clash—and our rematch—is drawing near, so just relax.” His focus moved from Lucian to Aura Nova as he continued, “That being said, I agree with Lucian’s assessment. Considering your talent, I would love to observe how you manipulate time particles to forge a separate fragment of reality. A duel between us might be exactly what I need to advance my existential level further.”

He stopped intentionally, letting the weight of his words settle so everyone present grasped his meaning.

Naturally, when Aaaninja spoke with such conviction, no one questioned him. If he claimed a battle with Aura Nova would lead to his improvement, then that outcome was certain. For him, growth was as inevitable and natural as the flow of Qi.

“I must admit, though,” Aaaninja added with a faint smirk, “I’m a fan of what you did with the flip-flops. It’s certainly unique. Truly.”

“My thanks,” Aura Nova answered, her smile coming across as genuine. Then, her tone turned slightly playful as she continued, “So, you both insist that we won’t know who the strongest is until we actually fight?” Her smile sharpened into a smirk.

Her sky-blue eyes shifted to meet Anthony’s. He remained suspended in the air with a relaxed, calm expression, looking as though the conversation hadn't moved him at all. “And what about you, Anthony?” she questioned. “Do you share their opinion?” Her tone suggested she already anticipated a 'yes'.

Anthony shook his head slightly. “No,” he answered simply. “I do not.”

The group froze.

For a split second, it felt as if the flow of time had glitched. Even Aura Nova faltered, her expression shifting momentarily as she was caught off guard. This was not the response she expected from someone like him.

“Hoo…” Aura Nova finally breathed, her smile slowly returning. “It appears Anthony believes I would be the victor in a fight against him.” Her voice was light, almost mocking. While Lucian and Aaaninja viewed her as an equal until proven otherwise, Aura Nova had never truly accepted that they were on her level.

“When did I ever suggest you would win against me?” Anthony’s calm voice resonated from the side.

“But you just said—” Kingsley started to speak, intending to point out the contradiction, but he was quickly silenced.

“I am well aware of what I said,” Anthony interrupted smoothly. “I stated that I disagree with the views of Aaaninja and Lucian.”

The atmosphere grew still once more as the realization hit the group. Anthony disagreed with their premise, but not because he thought Aura Nova could beat him. On the contrary, his meaning was far more blunt.

He was absolutely certain of his own dominance.

“It is exactly as you've realized,” Anthony continued, fixing his gaze on Aura Nova. “While you might desire to test yourself against Aaaninja and Lucian, I exist on a completely different plane than those two. You stand no chance against me or my blade, regardless of how profound your abilities may be.”

Even though his words were sharp, Anthony’s tone remained composed and strangely friendly. He wasn't trying to be condescending; he was simply stating what he considered to be an objective fact.

“I am the wall that Aaaninja is trying to climb,” Anthony added, a slight smirk appearing. “And realistically, he won't be able to overtake me unless I perish or something equally nonsensical happens. As for Lucian, he accepted the truth the moment we first met. That is why he never dared to challenge me, not even during the Starborn Tournament.”

To an outsider, these words might have seemed like a grave insult, but if Lucian or Aaaninja took offense, the remedy was clear. They only had to fight him.

Lucian’s expression twitched slightly at the mention of his name. It was true; since the day he met Anthony, he had never once initiated a challenge. And why would he? He was fully aware of the broken cheats and absurd powers Anthony held. Furthermore, Anthony was the Main Character. Defeating him was more impossible than reaching the peak of Cultivation overnight.

Aaaninja, however, seemed entirely unfazed by the comment. He had never hidden his goal of one day surpassing Anthony. If anything, Anthony’s overwhelming presence served as fuel for his ambition.

Aura Nova remained silent, her sky-blue eyes locked onto Anthony’s. Though their eyes were the same color, Anthony’s held a completely different weight. For the first time in her life, someone had spoken to her this way. For the first time since she was born, Aura Nova felt… small. Not necessarily weak, but clearly inferior by comparison.

Nevertheless, deep down, she refused to yield. She would not turn away from the challenge just because of a few words, regardless of who uttered them.

“You should just give up while you can,” Lucian said from the sidelines with a sigh, shaking his head at Aura Nova. “Don’t try to walk the same impossible path as Aaaninja.”
