MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 6: Training-1
Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
Approaching his family, he called out to them, breaking the stunned silence they were in.
His mother gazed at him, asking, "Son, did you take a bath in the universal river? How is it possible for you to be this handsome?"
He offered a smile and answered, "Mom, it is simply a result of the physique I awakened. It enhanced my appearance. *Sigh*, at this rate, you might have grandchildren by tomorrow."
The joke elicited laughter from everyone. Then, his grandmother spoke up, "Tell us the details of your awakening."
"I have awakened the Overlord Physique," he began, weaving a lie since he couldn't openly reveal his true bloodline and physique. "It grants me lordship over the elements and the sword. It passively boosts all my physical stats as I train and rank up, and it even increases my handsomeness. My training speed for the sword, magic, and Cultivation is boosted by 500%, while my spells and sword techniques are amplified by 300%."
The list left everyone speechless. They were at a loss for words, realizing they were looking at a little monster who had only just awakened. Their eyes shone with the desire to see him thrive on the battlefield, yet they knew they had to shield him until he matured. Since he had never seen the world beyond their walls, he remained ignorant of its cruelty. Michael’s body leaked a faint trace of killing intent as he considered the rival families and cults that might target his precious son.
Michael was unaware, however, that his "precious" son was well-aware of the world's horrors and was already strategizing for them. Despite his lack of social interaction, he understood the dangers. Even when the butler drove him around at the age of five, he had remained inside the car, observing from behind the glass without greeting anyone.
Rumors had long circulated that the son of the Sword Saint and the Mage of Destruction—his mother’s title—was a sickly child with low intelligence. He had overheard the guards and maids gossiping about these rumors, but he had instructed them not to bother with corrections.
His grandfather smiled and said, "Shall we go and select your Cultivation technique?" As the family followed, they entered the library. The grandfather triggered a concealed mechanism, revealing a door to the basement. Having never been here before, Anthony felt a surge of excitement.
Descending the stairs, they came to a halt before... a portal. Anthony was stunned. Was this a dungeon? He had read about such things, and now his mother’s voice, as melodic as a fairy's, reached his ears.
"This portal leads to a Secret Realm. It houses the collective knowledge of our main family—skills, techniques, secret lore, and forbidden spells. Everything concerning the various professions, from blacksmithing to alchemy, is stored here."
He was deeply shocked. To possess such a vast hoard of knowledge and keep it within a private Secret Realm required immense power. It seemed he had been underestimating the strength of his own family.
As they stepped through the portal, he felt a brief wave of dizziness from the spatial transition. It was his first time traveling through space, but thanks to his affinities, bloodline, and physique, the sensation vanished in less than a second. His family was astonished to see him recover so quickly, as they had expected him to be nauseous or dizzy for a while. It seemed their child was even more of a freak than he appeared. They exchanged silent, smiling glances but said nothing.
Looking up, Anthony saw endless rows of shelves stretching into the distance. He walked through the aisles, admiring the beauty of the place, when he suddenly realized he hadn't performed his daily sign-in yet. Being his first time, he internally commanded, 'System, sign-in.'
[Ding...]
[Host has performed sign-in.]
[As this is the host's first sign-in, two rewards will be granted.]
[Congratulations! The host has obtained a Realm.]
[Divine Realm: A dimension created by ??? out of boredom, gifted to you for signing in from within another realm.]
[Privileges of the Realm:
1: Mana within the Divine Realm exists in its purest state, known as Primordial Mana, which has remained dormant since the beginning of time.
2: Time dilation is adjustable, with a maximum ratio of 1:100. The host may set this as desired.
3: Only individuals possessing 'Absolute Loyalty' toward the host may enter this realm with him.
4: Aging is tied to real-world time, not the time passed within the realm.]
[Recommendation: The host should train and cultivate within this realm to achieve a higher quality of Mana than others.]
[Congratulations! The host has received the ??? Cultivation technique, crafted by ??? specifically for the host.]
[The ??? Cultivation technique was designed by ??? to suit the host's unique physique and bloodline.]
[The host must name this Cultivation technique to begin using it.]
After a moment of thought, Anthony decided to call it the 'Nothingness Cultivation Technique.'
[Host has named the technique.]
[Rank of Nothingness Cultivation Technique: Unknown.]
Anthony was overjoyed. He felt the urge to bow to the mysterious benefactor, but he restrained himself as they continued walking through the Secret Realm. His family noticed his bright mood and assumed he was simply excited about choosing a technique.
They eventually reached a specific shelf that radiated a shimmering rainbow glow.
"Choose a Cultivation technique from this section," his grandfather instructed.
Anthony browsed the shelf for a moment before selecting a book titled 'The Dawn.' While the name and appearance seemed modest, it was anything but simple.
Michael then added, "Now, choose a sword technique."
With a serious expression, Anthony replied, "Father, my physique prevents me from using the techniques of others. It requires me to forge my own path."
The family was momentarily stunned. However, considering the incredible perks of his physique, they concluded that such power must come with conditions. They were still determined to support him in any way possible.
They smiled and dropped the subject. He gave his mother a similar explanation regarding magic so they wouldn't spend time trying to teach him, especially since his bloodline and physique already provided him with superior knowledge.
He took the Cultivation technique and departed. He had no intention of actually practicing it; it was merely for show. As for the sword and magic techniques, there was no point in mastering what they had created when he possessed something far better.
Back in his room, he asked, 'System, where is the realm?'
[The host only needs to visualize entering the realm to be transported there.]
Anthony nodded. 'System, where is the Nothingness Cultivation Technique?'
[The host only needs to give confirmation, and the system will transmit it directly into the host's mind.]
He gave his assent immediately, and a massive flood of information rushed into his brain. He sat in meditation for nine hours just to process the technique, even with his two million mental compartments working at full capacity.
He sighed. "Will I have to spend this much time every time I receive knowledge? Well, the information is incredibly vast. This is reality, not some instant-learning system where everything is mastered with one click."
He grabbed his phone and messaged his family and the maids, informing them that he would be entering a one-year seclusion. It was an amusing thought—someone who had just awakened and received a technique only hours ago was already going into seclusion. He requested that the maids prepare five years' worth of food, claiming his appetite had surged, which left them shocked.
Since everyone there was an Awakened, five years of meals were prepared within two days. He stored everything in the spatial ring his father had given him, which also contained a sword and enough potions to last a year.
With everything prepared, his family saw him off. He entered the seclusion room, which was immediately placed under the watch of high-ranking guards.
During the two days spent waiting for the food, he had performed another sign-in.
[Doppelganger: The host can create a perfect clone of himself. This clone can use all the host's abilities and skills and possesses all his qualities.
Cooldown: None.]
[The host has gained True Immunity to Illusions.]
He had been thrilled by the Doppelganger reward. He had been worrying about how to deceive his parents while he was in the Divine Realm; if they checked on him with their senses and found him missing, they—and the guards—would burst in immediately.
Now, he was ready. Standing in the center of the room, he summoned the clone. It was virtually his twin, possessing its own consciousness and a fragment of his soul. The clone assumed a lotus position and began the facade of cultivation.
With a final signal to the system, Anthony vanished from the room.
