Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2451: 219: Born of the Same Root (Part 2)

~4 minute read · 933 words

With ‘Kong’ serving as the base, the four major causes and conditions unite, birthing every living entity between heaven and earth.

As sentient beings come into existence, ‘consciousness’ emerges.

Through ‘consciousness’, by beholding the four greats, one rediscovers ‘Kong’.

Through this loop, the six great elements of Buddhism slowly crystallize in Wang Ba’s thoughts.

This isn’t limited to Wang Ba alone.

Kong Zen, bound together in spirit from the core, had earlier sipped from the Perfume Sea. Even if it was meant to hold no power for him anymore, at this instant, he reaps the Perfume Sea’s benefits once more…

The Perfume Sea proves utterly remarkable. The duo advances gradually along its edge, linking their minds, jointly exploring the six grand principles of Buddhism, as ceaseless enlightenments surge forward like rushing hill streams and crashing sea swells…

While they cross-verify insights, a single instant stretches to feel like eons, and both plunge deeply into the domain of the six great rules’ evolutions…

Inside Wang Ba’s consciousness, the four great magic wands representing earth, fire, water, and wind start to hum without restraint, hinting at an impending union.

As these four magic wands thrum, each unleashes boundless marvels, streaming into the souls of Wang Ba and Kong Zen.

Within their blended awareness, a seed descends, rapidly rooting, budding, blossoming, and producing fruit.

Yet bit by bit, Wang Ba eases out of his meditation on the six great rules of Buddhism.

Amid these six greats, he dimly perceives a pathway much more akin to his own.

“It’s the Dao of Dharmas!”

His soul quivers with excitement, leading him to naturally forsake pondering the six great rules and pour all focus into his personal Dao of Dharmas.

Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, Ice, Wind, Thunder, Divine Patterns, Stars, and more—countless principles in his sharpened mind swiftly deepen to greater heights, as if nourished by fertile soil, extending branches and foliage…

One step at a time, he heads toward the crest of Mount Xumi, his mind wearying and strength fading with every stretch. Without delay, he gathers a palmful of water from the close Perfume Sea and gulps it down.

His thoughts refreshed, he ventures forward again.

Right now, every footfall turns into a journey of grasping the ‘Dao’.

Step upon step, approaching the peak, his grasp of numerous rules climbs to unprecedented levels.

The growth that had stalled since stepping into the mid-Transcendence Tribulation stage now surges vigorously once more, with the Dao Domain expanding dynamically and thriving…

Clap.

His sole touches the ultimate stone stair.

This contact seems to jolt him awake right away.

Totally lost in the boundless rules, his awareness snaps free in an instant.

He raises his gaze in confusion and promptly spots the temple and pavilions crowning the height…

His essence rebounds swiftly, leaving him in awe for a spell.

He now comprehends precisely why the Perfume Sea earns its status as the Eastern Luli Buddha Realm’s supreme treasure and why Second Realm Sea monks labored to transport it here.

“It’s truly a marvelous treasure!”

Wang Ba sighs inwardly, unable to hold back:

“The treasures of the Second Realm Sea live up to their reputation.”

“The higher one’s realm, the greater the gains when using it… It’s a pity few can resist its temptation.”

Based on Kong Zen’s recollections, from what he could recall, Buddha Tianyin himself drew upon it in the Transcendence Tribulation Stage, which propelled him to Buddha Lord. Unfortunately, applying this treasure back in Mahayana might have lifted him to superior heights.

He skips the mountaintop temple, spins around, and begins making his way down the slope once more.

The climb purified the spirit and illuminated the Dao, but the way down releases inner loads and methodically processes the rewards of the ascent…

Kong Zen chooses not to trail after him.

He shared in Wang Ba’s good fortune. During Wang Ba’s engagement with the Perfume Sea, their spirits intertwined, letting him dive into that prior immersion too. Now, at the summit drawing on Wang Ba’s earlier insights into the four great Buddhist rules—approached from a fresh viewpoint—they cross-checked, attaining notable depth, and the Perfume Sea’s pure enlightenment state ignited like tinder touching flame.

Wang Ba gives it no thought, persisting in his downward path.

Each stride deepens and clarifies his prior knowledge of the rules he’d mastered.

When fatigue sets in, he halts, ladles another handful from the Perfume Sea, imbibes, and his mind shifts to serene clarity at once.

Still, he detects the potency fading markedly.

He shrugs it off, knowing that for a rarity like this, even one use offers him immeasurable value.

Sure, it’s not vital, but it cuts down heaps of time.

On the descent’s midpoint, he halts abruptly, instinctively peering below.

A dim outline appears at the mountain’s bottom, blurry and undefined.

Now, while harnessing the Perfume Sea, he has pulled back all mana, Divine Skills, Dao Domain, and rules. He could shatter this mode with a mere whim, but that would cut off the Perfume Sea’s influence without delay.

After a short pause of doubt, his soul restores its peace, and he resumes descending.

The outline spots him apparently but refuses to dodge, mirroring his pace, ascending the trail flanking the Perfume Sea, divided by the waters.

They near each other, details sharpening.

Wang Ba ultimately identifies the form climbing from the base; it’s a monk.

Catching sight of the monk, Wang Ba stands frozen for a beat:
