Living In Another World With A Farm Chapter 8339: Alliance_1

After stabilizing the defenses of Blood Gale Island, Zhao Hai focuses on the next phase of his plan: mass-producing metal puppets to serve as a frontline force. To avoid suspicion regarding his true capabilities, he opts for an assembly line approach using ordinary materials rather than his more powerful spirits. While assisting Guna by installing advanced defensive arrays across neighboring islands, Zhao Hai receives word that the sect will provide waste materials for his project. The arrival of his master, Lei gang, brings both the necessary resources and an inquiry into Zhao Hai's foresight regarding the unstable regional security.

Lei Gang was momentarily stunned by Zhao Hai’s revelation. He was intimately aware of the Blood Slaughter Sect’s current predicament, which was far from ideal. Despite successfully crushing the uprisings in the two seas, the victory had come at a steep price: every Island Owner in those regions had been eliminated. The toll on the lower-level disciples was even more catastrophic; staggering numbers had perished, including those who had traveled from other seas to join the fray.

Consequently, the Blood Slaughter Sect’s foundation of low-level disciples had been severely depleted. Engaging in further external conflicts would only escalate these losses. Since low-level disciples served as the essential reservoir for future high-level experts, a shortage at the bottom would inevitably lead to a vacuum at the top—a terrifying prospect for the sect's future.

Currently, the First Elder and his peers were seeking retribution for these events. However, rival sects were unlikely to allow them a peaceful recovery period. They would seize any opportunity to further cripple the Blood Slaughter Sect’s military might, making this an exceptionally dangerous time for an enemy strike.

If Zhao Hai could truly deliver on his promise, it would resolve the sect's most pressing crisis. Lei Gang’s expression sharpened with hope at the possibility. He fixed his gaze on Zhao Hai and asked, "Little Hai, are you serious? Can you actually achieve this? Do you require any assistance?"

Zhao Hai shook his head in refusal. "There is no need. I am currently in the testing phase to see if success is possible. If I manage to succeed, I will formally report the findings to the sect. For now, I have everything I need. Bringing others into the project might actually be counterproductive; they don't grasp my underlying philosophy or the intricacies of my puppet techniques. Instead of helping, they would likely just get in the way. I am better off working alone."

After a moment of reflection, Lei Gang nodded in agreement. "Very well. You should focus entirely on your research. Should you lack anything, inform me at once, and you will have my total backing. If this research bears fruit, it will be considered a monumental contribution to the Blood Slaughter Sect."

Zhao Hai gave a small smile. "I am merely exploring the possibility; success isn't guaranteed yet. Rest assured, if I need resources, I won't hesitate to ask." In truth, Zhao Hai felt a deep sense of certainty regarding the outcome, though he kept his full confidence hidden for now.

Lei Gang spoke in a solemn tone, "Understood. I will notify your Third Uncle to watch over you. You can approach him directly with any requests. If necessary, I can even station him on your island to ensure your work continues without interruption."

"My thanks, Master," Zhao Hai replied with a grin. "I will certainly reach out to Third Uncle if the need arises." Zhao Hai understood the gravity behind Lei Gang’s offer; the sect’s situation must be truly dire for his Master to react with such intensity.

Lei Gang looked at Zhao Hai, stood up, and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Of all my disciples, you are the most gifted and the one I trust the most. Your past contributions have brought me great pride. However, you must remember: if danger strikes, your safety is the priority. Nothing else matters more. As long as you live, your ideas can be realized. If you fall, everything ends. Do you understand?"

Zhao Hai signaled his understanding. Lei Gang turned his gaze toward the horizon and said, "The hour is late, and I am glad to see you are doing well. I must return now. Take these; do not worry about being frugal. If you run out, I will send more immediately." He handed an interspatial bag to Zhao Hai. Upon checking it with his spiritual sense, Zhao Hai found it packed with numerous smaller interspatial bags, filled exactly with what he had requested.

After stowing the gift, Zhao Hai escorted Lei Gang to the teleportation array. With a flash of white light, Lei Gang was gone. Zhao Hai returned to the Atlas Tree and began inspecting the supplies. He was shocked to find that inside the bags were even more bags, all filled with materials. He couldn't help but chuckle dryly; he had clearly underestimated how much waste a massive organization like the Blood Slaughter Sect produced.

Over its long history, the sect had accumulated an astronomical amount of discarded materials. It made sense that the stockpile was so vast. These resources would undoubtedly sustain his work for a very long time.

While Zhao Hai was busy organizing his metal puppet assembly line, the Sect Master and the six Elders of the Blood Slaughter Sect received several unexpected letters. The senders were high-ranking figures: the leaders of the Corpse Demon Sect, Poisonous Bug Valley, Heaven Crippling Sect, Sick Man Sect, and the Yin Yang Sect. The invitations were deceptively simple, asking the Blood Slaughter Sect’s leadership to gather for tea, chess, and a discussion on the Dao.

The Grandmaster of the Blood Slaughter Sect usually remained in secluded Cultivation, leaving internal management to the Eight Great Elders. With only six Elders remaining, the situation was strained. However, as the sect's ultimate pillar of strength, the Grandmaster was forced to end his seclusion to address this coordinated pressure.

This joint invitation from several major sects was a transparent attempt to intimidate the Blood Slaughter Sect’s top powerhouses. It was a calculated move by a newly formed coalition. Fearing the implications, the Sect Master called the Elders together to formulate a response.

The Sect Master was an elderly man in his sixties with a white beard and a medium build. Dressed in crimson robes, his eyes possessed a piercing, blade-like intensity. Sitting upon a meditation mat, he addressed Du Wan Sha and the others: "I have been away in seclusion and am out of touch with recent events. Wan Sha, explain why these sects have suddenly reached out to us."

Du Wan Sha replied gravely, "Sect Master, I believe their goal is to exert pressure on us regarding the Western Defense Line. There are reports that the Thirteen Family Alliance is becoming restless."

"I see. So they want us to surrender the Western Defense Line to that Alliance?" the Sect Master asked, his voice deepening. "Handing that over would mean losing all territory in the West and Northwest Seas. That is absolutely unacceptable."

Du Wan Sha nodded. "Indeed. Giving up that line means losing two entire seas. The other sects sense our current weakness and are moving to exploit it. This isn't just the five sects who signed the letters; it is likely a Seven-Sect Alliance including the Severe Sword Sect and the Dark Ghost Sect. They likely stayed in the shadows due to their public feuds with us, but they are certainly involved. Only the Rahu Sect and the Giant Demon Sect are absent. While the Giant Demon Sect is our ally, they may not be able to withstand the collective pressure of the others. At best, they will remain neutral. The Rahu Sect stays out of such matters. We are in a very precarious position."

The Sect Master’s eyes flashed with cold fury. "What are our options? The Blood Slaughter Sect has never knelt to anyone. If they push too hard, I will take the Blood Slaughter Saber to their front gates myself and 'talk' to them!"

This was a declaration of total war. The Blood Slaughter Saber was a supreme treasure; for the Grandmaster to brandish it against other leaders would mean a complete breakdown of diplomacy. While the Blood Slaughter Sect was a top-tier power, facing seven major sects simultaneously would be catastrophic. Nevertheless, his words reflected the sect's uncompromising spirit.

Du Wan Sha spoke cautiously, "We should avoid such extremes if possible. We must first confirm their true objective. Is this truly about the Thirteen Families? If so, why do these major sects care? What do they gain by backing them against us? Once we know their price, we can plan our next move."

The Sect Master looked at him. "I understand the logic, but what is the immediate plan? If we ignore their invitation, what will they do? They have already united. If we don't act quickly, the results will be disastrous."

Du Wan Sha frowned. "It is a complex problem. We must determine how to fracture their alliance. Otherwise, we risk losing the two seas. Even though those islands are currently barren, losing the territory would allow them to threaten our core maritime borders. We cannot permit that."

The Sect Master surveyed the room and asked, "What are your thoughts? Should we activate our hidden agents within those sects? Perhaps they can provide the leverage we need to escape this passive state."
