Invincible Divine Sword Chapter 2098: Dragon Source Sea
Previously on Invincible Divine Sword...
Throughout the course of this month, Yang Xiaotian commanded the entire Long Clan of the Ancestor Dragon Realm to labor on the restoration of the Long Clan Great Formation, situated beyond the realm's starry periphery.
Utilizing mountain-like piles of Long Clan resources and the unified strength of billions of Long Clan experts, the celestial Long Clan Great Formation, which had been devastated by the Primordial Demon World, was finally reinstated.
Nevertheless, even with the starry Long Clan Great Formation fixed, there remained no certainty that the legions of the Primordial Demon World would not shatter it once more in the future.
Because of this precedent, other realms began to gaze upon the Ancestor Dragon Realm with even greater greed and ambition.
Consequently, to ensure the Ancestor Dragon Realm became truly impenetrable, he had to assimilate and refine the Ancestral Dragon Realm Origin to gain absolute authority over the realm.
Once he ascended as the Ancestor Dragon Realm Master and seized the Ancestral Dragon Realm Origin, his power within the realm would be peerless; even a return of the First Demon would no longer be a cause for dread.
He had to accelerate his search for the Ancestor Dragon Tree.
Without its power, the task of refining and assimilating the Ancestral Dragon Realm Origin was impossible.
To this end, Yang Xiaotian mobilized every faction within the Ancestor Dragon Realm to assist him in scouring for clues regarding Long Yi’s past.
In the meantime, Yang Xiaotian sat in a meditative cross-legged posture within the primary city of the Silver Heavenly Dragon Clan. He triggered the First of Eternity Heart, launching a relentless assault against the space boundary of the Kaitian Level Dao.
He had previously spent three full days using the strength of his Dao Heart to strike the Kaitian Level Dao boundary, yet it had remained immovable.
That attempt had been cut short by the invasion of the Primordial Demon World army.
This time, he swore to shatter the space boundary of the Kaitian Level Dao; he would not cease until he succeeded!
Day after day, Yang Xiaotian struck out; ten days drifted by, yet the space boundary did not shift a fraction.
A month passed, and the boundary remained unchanged.
Yang Xiaotian persisted in his assault, showing no signs of exhaustion or surrender.
Had it been any other practitioner, their Dao Heart would have faltered long ago.
Yet, Yang Xiaotian’s Dao Heart was unshakable as he continued his bombardment.
After a full year, the space boundary of the Kaitian Level Dao finally exhibited a transformation; as the power of Yang Xiaotian’s Dao Heart struck, the barrier began to tremble violently.
Despite the shaking, no fractures appeared yet.
It took another year of constant effort before the first cracks finally manifested on the boundary.
Watching the barrier finally splinter after two years of ceaseless strikes, Yang Xiaotian felt a surge of joy; with the appearance of cracks, the following stages would be far more manageable.
During the third year, the fractures began to spread across the surface.
By the fourth year, the space boundary was covered in numerous cracks.
Ultimately, after more than a decade of Yang Xiaotian’s persistent hammering, the space boundary was completely shattered by a final, decisive blow, allowing him to enter the space of the Kaitian Level Dao.
The space of the Kaitian Level Dao overflowed with a golden radiance, distinct from the light of the Supreme Dao; this golden glow was more brilliant and thrummed with a magnificent life force.
The Dao here manifested as massive, golden trees of light, firmly rooted within the fabric of space.
Yang Xiaotian’s soul was bathed in this golden light; after a decade of toil, he had finally reached the Kaitian Level Dao.
The next phase was to begin the comprehension of the Kaitian Level Dao.
Manifesting a Dao Tree is a grueling endeavor.
The difficulty only increases when attempting to condense a higher-tier Dao Tree.
A Supreme Dao Tree necessitates the understanding of over a million Supreme Dao strands to take form.
In contrast, a Kaitian Level Dao Tree requires the comprehension of more than ten million Kaitian Dao to materialize.
Yang Xiaotian submerged himself in deep meditation and study.
Before long, he grasped the essence of the first Kaitian Level Dao root.
Then came the second, followed by the third...
Within a single day, he had understood dozens of roots.
To many elite geniuses, mastering one Supreme Dao root per day is considered exceptional speed, let alone the more complex Kaitian Dao; however, Yang Xiaotian still felt his progress was too sluggish.
At a rate of roughly thirty roots a day, he would only master ten thousand in a year.
At that pace, would it not take a millennium to manifest his Dao Tree?
"It appears I must locate a Dao Foundation Stone," Yang Xiaotian mused.
There exists a method to hasten the formation of the Dao Tree: finding a Dao Foundation Stone.
These stones harbor the Dao within them, making the process of understanding much swifter and more intuitive.
However, Supreme Dao Foundation Stones and Primordial Qi are incredibly scarce, and a Kaitian Dao Foundation Stone is even more elusive.
Yang Xiaotian emerged from his cultivation retreat to review the intelligence gathered by his followers regarding Long Yi over the years.
Though they had amassed a great deal of data, they still could not locate the exact position of Long Yi’s Dragon Body.
After weighing his options, Yang Xiaotian resolved to travel to the Dragon Source Sea.
The Dragon Source Sea was the birthplace of Long Yi.
It was highly probable that Long Yi had returned there upon his death.
That very day, Yang Xiaotian and his companions from the Abyss of Darkness piloted their vessel toward the Dragon Source Sea.
Upon arriving, however, Yang Xiaotian discovered the sea was entirely engulfed in a sinister evil qi, and the Long Clan disciples inhabiting the islands were behaving erratically.
"These Long Clan disciples have been corrupted by the evil qi," the Dragon Corpse Beast remarked with gravity.
Yang Xiaotian nodded, his mind racing to figure out the source of this malevolent qi.
"Friends, the Evil Dragon Forbidden Land lies ahead; continuing further will put your lives at risk. I suggest you turn back," warned a man from a passing ship.
"The Evil Dragon Forbidden Land?" Yang Xiaotian inquired. "Could you tell us more about it, brother?"
The man surveyed Yang Xiaotian’s group and explained, "The island up ahead houses the cave mansion of the Evil Dragon Venerable. He has declared the surrounding waters a restricted zone. If you travel a few hundred miles more, you will be inside his territory."
"In the past, those who unknowingly entered his lands ended up as a meal for his stomach."
"Evil Dragon Venerable?" Yang Xiaotian was confused. He didn't recall anyone by that name among the renowned experts of the Ancestor Dragon Realm.
"Do you know where this Evil Dragon Venerable came from?" Yang Xiaotian questioned.
The man shook his head, stating he was unsure; he only knew that the Evil Dragon Venerable had appeared out of nowhere tens of thousands of years ago and had claimed this sea ever since, consuming all trespassers.
Just as the man finished speaking, a violent, wicked wind surged across the water. The man turned pale at the sight and quickly steered his ship away, ending the conversation with Yang Xiaotian abruptly.
As the man fled, the fierce evil wind battered Yang Xiaotian’s ship. The gale carried a devastating tearing force; a standard Holy Artifact vessel would have been shredded instantly, yet this level of power could not disturb the Dragon Night.
The Dragon Night remained perfectly still as the wind lashed against its hull.
A sound of shock echoed from the depths of the sea ahead.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the dark winds over the water, arriving before the Dragon Night in a flash.
The newcomer was clad in Dragon Clan Armor and gripped a Dragon Clan Long Spear, glaring intensely at Yang Xiaotian’s ship. Although he didn't recognize the Dragon Night, he realized the ship was extraordinary because the evil wind had failed to move it.
"Brat, surrender this ship and you may leave with your life!" he commanded in a raspy voice.
"Are you a follower of the Evil Dragon Venerable?" Yang Xiaotian asked calmly.
