Invincible Divine Sword Chapter 2028: Who Left Behind the Dark Heavenly Book?

Previously on Invincible Divine Sword...
A colossal giant tortoise appeared, repelling the Ancestor Clan Chief with immense power and saving Yang Xiaotian. Discovering Yang Xiaotian possessed the First of Eternity Heart, the giant tortoise revealed a hidden cave mansion containing one of the Ten Great Heavenly Books. Yang Xiaotian entered the dark cave, seeking the book and a special Dark Pill.

The Dark Heavenly Book!

Upon spotting the tome, which loomed as large as Chaos Mountain, Yang Xiaotian felt a surge of joy and hurried toward the massive volume.

Standing before the colossal book, Yang Xiaotian appeared as insignificant as a speck of dust.

The first page of the giant book lay open, with an endless flow of darkness spilling out from within. Every bit of gloom in the Dark World had its source in this Dark Heavenly Book.

Yang Xiaotian focused his attention on it. Aside from the swirling darkness, the first page was devoid of any script or runes.

After a moment of reflection, Yang Xiaotian decided to channel the energy of his First of Eternity Heart into the book's opening page. As expected, when the power of the First of Eternity Heart merged with the page, a blindingly brilliant light erupted.

Once the radiance subsided, several lines of text and a unique handprint manifested on the surface.

These characters dated back to the era before the world's creation and were incredibly profound.

Yang Xiaotian committed every detail to memory and began his comprehension.

A full day passed before he grasped the meaning of the text, after which he used the handprint to unlock the second page.

The second page, however, was also shrouded in total darkness. Only after Yang Xiaotian infused it with the power of the First of Eternity Heart did new lines of text and another distinct handprint appear.

The contents of the second page proved to be even more complex.

This time, it took Yang Xiaotian two days of deep meditation to fully master the text and the handprint of the second page.

Following that, he utilized the second page's handprint to gain access to the third.

Just like the ones before it, the third page was completely pitch-black.

Yang Xiaotian employed the same technique, activating the third page through the power of his First of Eternity Heart.

True to form, the third page revealed its hidden text and a specialized handprint.

In this fashion, Yang Xiaotian continued to activate and comprehend the book page by page.

The entirety of the Dark Heavenly Book contained one hundred pages.

The deeper he delved into the book, the more enigmatic the knowledge became.

Reaching the thirtieth page alone required a whole month of Yang Xiaotian’s time to comprehend.

However, when he tried to open the thirty-first page, it remained sealed despite his use of the handprint.

"Your current realm is insufficient. If you wish to reveal further pages, you must first achieve a breakthrough in your cultivation," Master Ding advised.

Hearing this, Yang Xiaotian finally ceased his efforts.

Even though the later pages remained closed to him, Yang Xiaotian had mastered the first thirty pages entirely, allowing him to begin the preliminary refinement and assimilation of the Dark Heavenly Book.

Without delay, Yang Xiaotian gestured with his hands, casting one dark seal after another into the massive tome.

The Dark Heavenly Book began to shrink rapidly, eventually condensing into a streak of dark light that surged into Yang Xiaotian’s forehead.

The book settled within Yang Xiaotian's Sea of Divine Soul, where it pulsed with dark radiance.

With the disappearance of the Dark Heavenly Book, the Dark World itself began to fade away, and Yang Xiaotian found himself back in the Cave Mansion.

Opening his eyes, Yang Xiaotian surveyed the silent Cave Mansion. After a brief thought, he summoned the power of the Dark Heavenly Book.

The energy of the Dark Heavenly Book poured out like a rising tide, saturating every corner of the chamber.

The once dim and lifeless Cave Mansion was suddenly bathed in light.

Rows of dark runes began to manifest on the stone pillars within the main hall.

Noticing the runes, Yang Xiaotian walked over and began to decipher them. It took only a few moments for him to understand their meaning and release the dark restrictions placed upon the pillars.

As the restriction broke, a jade vase emerged from the center of a stone pillar.

Yang Xiaotian caught the vase and peered inside, discovering a Dark Elixir.

The elixir lacked any luster and seemed unremarkable, yet Yang Xiaotian suspected this was the Dark Pill the Giant Turtle had mentioned.

After stowing the Dark Pill safely, Yang Xiaotian conducted a thorough search of the Cave Mansion to ensure nothing else remained before making his exit.

The Giant Turtle was waiting outside and approached with visible excitement as soon as Yang Xiaotian appeared: "How did it go?"

His nervousness was plain to see.

"Senior, please check if this is what you sought." Yang Xiaotian presented the jade vase.

The turtle grabbed it quickly and peeked inside.

Seeing the pill, he was filled with joy: "Yes, this is it! This is the Dark Pill!"

Yang Xiaotian felt a sense of relief upon hearing the confirmation.

After a brief silence, the Giant Turtle looked at Yang Xiaotian and said, "Young man, you have my thanks."

The Dark Pill was of vital importance to him.

Yang Xiaotian quickly waved off the gratitude, saying, "Senior, it is I who should thank you." He then added, "Shall we depart?"

"Very well!"

The giant creature immediately began leading Yang Xiaotian back along the path they had taken.

"Senior," Yang Xiaotian inquired, "Do you have any knowledge of who created this Cave Mansion?"

He was deeply intrigued by the identity of the person who had left the Dark Heavenly Book behind.

The Giant Turtle started to speak, paused hesitantly, and finally replied, "You will find out in due time." He then added, "My true name is Luo Xuan. From now on, you may address me as Senior Luo or Brother Luo."

"Senior Luo," Yang Xiaotian greeted him respectfully.

"What do you intend to do next?" Luo Xuan, the Giant Turtle, suddenly asked.

Unsure of the hidden meaning behind the question, Yang Xiaotian hesitated before answering, "I plan to break through to the Holy Emperor Realm and then head toward the World Academy."

Luo Xuan was momentarily surprised, then nodded. "Given your natural gifts, joining the World Academy is the right path. However, remember that the tallest tree in the forest is the first to be struck by the wind. You must remain vigilant once you enter the World Academy."

Because Yang Xiaotian possessed the First of Eternity Heart, he would be highly prized by the leaders of the World Academy, but he would also attract many enemies who wanted him dead.

Thus, the World Academy represented a place of both great peril and great potential for him.

"I understand, I will keep your words in mind," Yang Xiaotian replied with respect.

"While you are on Giant Turtle Island, I can ensure your safety. But once you step away from this island, you must be on your guard," Luo Xuan warned, thinking of the Ancestor Clan.

Even though the Ancestor Clan Chief had departed with his elders, they would not give up so easily and were surely lying in wait in the waters surrounding the island.

He cautioned Yang Xiaotian to be extremely careful when leaving the shores of Giant Turtle Island.

Yang Xiaotian nodded in agreement.

The Destroying Heaven Demon and the others had been waiting anxiously at the same location, growing worried by Yang Xiaotian’s long absence. Seeing him return, they finally felt their hearts settle.

By the time Yang Xiaotian reached them, Luo Xuan had already returned to his true form and concealed himself within the void, so the others did not see the Giant Turtle.

"Let's move out," Yang Xiaotian told the group as he led the way.

Luo Xuan had informed him of an Innate Cold Spirit Pond located in the far north of the island, which was excellent for both healing and cultivation. Consequently, Yang Xiaotian decided not to leave the island immediately, opting instead to take everyone to the pond to train.

The Red Dragon Mad Demon was still recovering from his injuries, making the Cold Spirit Pond the perfect place for him to heal.

As Yang Xiaotian guided his companions toward the pond, the Ancestor Clan Chief and his elders remained stationed outside Giant Turtle Island, refusing to leave.

By now, the Ancestor Clan had established a powerful grand array around the island, effectively sealing off the surrounding space.
