Invincible Divine Sword Chapter 2018: Ancestor Ruins

It was hardly surprising that the subordinates of Nie Zhen were trembling with such intense fear.

Ever since his arrival on the Ancestor Continent, Yang Xiaotian had carved out a terrifying reputation, first by wiping out the Batian Demon Sect and then by seizing control of Yin Ghost Mountain.

Furthermore, it was common knowledge that a deep enmity existed between Yang Xiaotian and the Ancestor Clan.

With Yang Xiaotian appearing before them now, what hope could they possibly have of surviving?

The overwhelming notoriety of both Yang Xiaotian and the Destroying Heaven Demon caused Nie Zhen’s men to hesitate, their fighting spirit crumbling instantly.

A massive blast erupted, sending Nie Zhen and his followers flying off the deck of the vessel.

Despite the protection offered by the ship’s grand array, the impact caused the blood of Nie Zhen and his group to boil; while Nie Zhen managed to endure, many of his subordinates were forced to cough up mouthfuls of blood.

Nie Zhen was gripped by shock; the raw power possessed by the Destroying Heaven Demon far exceeded his darkest estimations!

Though they were not supreme overlords, his subordinates were all celebrated masters; yet, even with hundreds of them working in unison, they were no match for the six figures led by the Destroying Heaven Demon.

Suddenly, one subordinate lunged through the air, thrusting his spear toward Yang Xiaotian with lethal intent.

“No!” Nie Zhen screamed in a panic.

The moment the subordinate reached Yang Xiaotian, he was repelled by a rotating shield of golden light. The force sent him crashing back onto the ship.

By the time he hit the deck, his armor was reduced to shards, his skin was marred by gruesome bloody gashes, and he was vomiting blood uncontrollably.

Nie Zhen watched in alarm as a Golden Great Cauldron manifested around Yang Xiaotian, realizing too late that he should have cautioned his man against such a reckless move.

“Yang Xiaotian, what is your aim?” Nie Zhen demanded, glaring at him. “I hold the title of City Lord of Sea City. Should any harm befall me, you will find no escape from the lands of the Ancestor Clan!”

He was issuing a stern warning to Yang Xiaotian not to push things to the limit.

If pushed, he was prepared for a mutual destruction.

“Relax, your life is not in danger,” Yang Xiaotian replied calmly.

Having already deployed the Blood Demon Prison Great Array, he had no concerns about Nie Zhen escaping. The array’s barrier also ensured that no other experts from the Ancestor Clan would be alerted to the commotion.

Provided no powerhouse traversed the Blood Land Plain, the events unfolding here would remain a secret.

To be safe, however, Yang Xiaotian signaled the Destroying Heaven Demon and the others to conclude the matter swiftly.

Under the relentless pressure of the Destroying Heaven Demon and his companions, Nie Zhen and his group were quickly subdued and bound.

With their Holy Power sealed, Nie Zhen and his men were cast onto the ground. Yang Xiaotian looked down at Nie Zhen and asked, “The Red Dragon Mad Demon vanished within Sea City, did he not? Speak, where is he being held?”

Nie Zhen was stunned, never imagining that Yang Xiaotian’s primary objective was the Red Dragon Mad Demon.

Attempting to maintain a facade of composure, he replied, “The Red Dragon Mad Demon? You’ve sought out the wrong man; I have no knowledge of his location.” He then added a counter-question, “Do you truly believe that with my Cultivation, I could possibly detain the Red Dragon Mad Demon?”

Yang Xiaotian countered immediately, “Alone, perhaps not. But by collaborating with the Ancestors and Elders of the Ancestor Clan, you certainly could!”

“I have no patience for your lies. If you refuse to disclose the location of the Red Dragon Mad Demon, I will command Annihilating Heaven and the Blood Demon to subject you to the Destructive Heart Devouring Technique and the Blood Demon Soul Binding Technique.”

A wave of sheer terror washed over Nie Zhen and his followers.

They were well aware of the horrors associated with the Destructive Heart Devouring Technique and the Blood Demon Soul Binding Technique.

Anyone forced to endure such tortures would beg for the mercy of death.

“Yang Xiaotian, if you have the nerve, just kill us,” Nie Zhen spat back defiantly.

Faced with this stubbornness, Yang Xiaotian showed no pity and nodded to the Destroying Heaven Demon and the Blood Demon Old Monster.

The two immediately began performing the Destructive Heart Devouring Technique and the Blood Demon Soul Binding Technique on the captives. Agonizing screams filled the air as the men writhed in pain.

Even Nie Zhen, who tried to remain silent, eventually broke under the excruciating agony, rolling on the ground and howling.

After a period of time, judging that they had suffered enough, Yang Xiaotian signaled for the torment to stop.

When the techniques were withdrawn, Nie Zhen lay gasping for air, his hair a mess of tangles. He looked up at Yang Xiaotian with eyes full of spite. “Yang Xiaotian, just end my life if you dare. Even if I die, I cannot tell you where the Red Dragon Mad Demon is.”

Seeing Nie Zhen’s continued resistance, Yang Xiaotian ordered the Destroying Heaven Demon and the Blood Demon Old Monster to increase the intensity of the techniques.

Once more, the screams and convulsions of Nie Zhen and his men resumed.

This time, after a much longer duration, Yang Xiaotian finally called for a halt.

As the pain subsided, Nie Zhen looked at the group before him, his eyes now clouded with pure dread.

“Talk,” Yang Xiaotian commanded.

Nie Zhen’s expression shifted through various emotions before he finally whispered, “The Red Dragon Mad Demon is being kept within the Ancestor Ruins.”

“The Ancestor Ruins!” Yang Xiaotian and his allies were visibly startled.

The Ancestor Ruins had originally been the dwelling of the first Ancestors of the Ancestor Clan. Later, it had been repurposed by the clan’s experts into a Secret Realm intended for the Cultivation and training of their younger generations.

Because it was the ancient home of their founders, the Ancestor Ruins were filled with hidden treasures and profound opportunities.

In the past, a disciple of the Ancestor Clan had even discovered the original Artifact Refining Tripod Furnace belonging to the clan's forefather.

That Artifact Refining Tripod Furnace was said to contain legendary armor and divine weapons left behind by the ancient ancestor.

“I only know he is imprisoned there; I honestly do not know the exact coordinates,” Nie Zhen added quickly, desperate for Yang Xiaotian to believe him. “If I am lying, may the heavens strike me down with lightning!”

Yang Xiaotian fell into thought. The Ancestor Ruins could only be accessed by the current Clan Leader of the Ancestor Clan. Even if they knew the Red Dragon Mad Demon was inside, gaining entry was the real challenge.

“Doesn’t the Ancestor Clan dispatch a group of disciples into the Ancestor Ruins for training every few years?” the Destroying Heaven Demon asked suddenly.

“Yes, a group is scheduled to enter in two months,” Nie Zhen admitted after a brief hesitation.

This information hadn't been made public yet, but it was set to be announced following the headquarters meeting, so he saw no point in hiding it now.

Upon hearing this, a spark of hope appeared in Yang Xiaotian’s eyes.

If that were the case, he could find a way to sneak into the Ancestor Ruins alongside the clan's disciples.

Following this, Yang Xiaotian produced several Elixirs and ordered Nie Zhen and his men to swallow them.

Nie Zhen’s face paled as he looked at the pills.

“Do not worry, I am not asking you to betray your clan,” Yang Xiaotian stated. “My only goal in this territory is to save the Red Dragon Mad Demon.”

“Once he is safe and we have departed from the Ancestor Clan’s borders, I will provide the antidote.”

Hearing that there was a chance for survival, Nie Zhen asked, “Is that the truth?”

“It is!” Yang Xiaotian confirmed.

With Yang Xiaotian’s word and having no other choice, Nie Zhen finally swallowed the Elixir and signaled for his subordinates to follow suit.
