Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 491 - Three proposals

With a mischievous gaze fixed on Pale, Noah watched as she slumped over the chessboard in utter dejection. The game's conclusion was plain to see, regardless of her refusal to concede.
A sudden burst of resentment and rage flared within Pale's absent heart, prompting her to jerk her head sharply in Noah's direction.
For a moment, she nearly chose to shatter her present form just to erase that smug grin from Noah's face. She was fully aware of her ability to do so, yet Pale hesitated to take such an extreme step.
For starters, infiltrating a Perfected Reality past the Son of Emptiness had been no simple task after countless epochs of effort. Throwing it away over some fleeting creature who would perish at the slightest hint of her authentic essence simply wasn't worthwhile.
Moreover, Pale refused to come across as a grudging defeatist. Such behavior would
hardly suit her majestic reputation...
"You cheated," Pale accused, behaving just like a grudging loser. "I can't say how, but you absolutely did."
"Don't act like a grudging loser." Noah let out a light laugh. "The game's secret rules baffled me as much as you at first. I simply picked them up quicker."
"Are you suggesting you're more intelligent than I am, Son of Heretic?"
"I'd never presume that, darling." He flashed a grin. "You're clearly sharper than me. Satisfied?"
<Stop flirting with her.>
'I am not.'
Providence rolled her eyes.
Pale offered no reply to Noah. Instead, she let out a deep sigh, tilted her head skyward,
and gazed solemnly into the surrounding void in quiet contemplation.
"So, are you prepared to hear my three suggestions?" Noah shattered the quiet, lifting a teacup to his mouth before taking a delicate sip.
"Go on, then," Pale replied, dropping her gaze back to him with an icy stare. "But remember your place. I could easily obliterate all you hold dear if pushed too far."
Noah's grin remained steady. "No question about that. But you won't, right? I can tell you've grown too fond of me to end me just like that."
"Every word from your vile mouth deepens my loathing for you."
"Ouch." Noah feigned a wounded expression. "But you said loathing, not hatred. Progress of sorts. Victory is victory, after all."
"Hatred?" Pale let out a scornful huff. "That's an intense emotion, and you're far from deserving it from me. Even your own mother doesn't qualify."
Noah's smile faltered just a touch. "Please," he murmured softly, "don't push me. I can get far more unbearable than this."
"You're prattling on, Son of Heretic," Pale snapped in frustration. "State your three options and let's move past this."
Noah chose to end the banter. He drained the last of his tea with a final sip, set the cup down with a faint clink, and turned his full focus to Pale.
The air between them thickened, carrying a heavy aura of grave tension and hushed stillness.
"Here's my offer, darling."
"Use that term once more, Son of Heretic, and you'll live to regret it."
Noah brushed aside her warning and lifted a single finger into the air.
"First choice: mirroring what you offered me, become my servant."
Pale's expression darkened further, as though her features might shatter like fragile crystal.
Undeterred, Noah pressed on and extended a second finger.
"Second, you could serve as a sort of sentinel. The safeguard for my kin."
Disbelief washed over the Pale Lady's face as she heard Noah propose she act as... a protector. She, who could annihilate this Perfected Reality were it not for that cursed Son of Emptiness and his singular might?
If Noah caught her look of shock, he showed no sign, continuing smoothly while holding up a third finger.
This time, he paused for a beat, a spark of amusement in his eyes, fully aware he toyed with a blaze that might consume him entirely.
Yet what defined Noah if not his wild boldness and daring? He braced himself as Providence shook her head wearily at her spouse.
"The third is my personal pick, so pay close attention."
"Out with it," she growled.
"I want you to wed me," Noah declared without delay, his charming smile nearly prompting Pale to sever his head. "I want you bound to me in every way. And for your dowry, darling, I'll offer a present. One I know you'll adore."
"Speak quickly, Noah, before my tolerance snaps." Her tone trembled, caught between annihilation and intrigue.
Noah clicked his fingers, summoning a stone pulsing with eerie,
devouring energy.
The very stone that had ignited his entire journey.
Its radiating force instantly silenced Pale,
leaving her eyes wide and mouth agape as she fixed on it.
"This... the Son of Emptiness?"
Noah grinned, eyeing his former system, now reduced and reshaped
into a compact stone of immense power.
This stone embodied the essence that birthed his system.
The essence of the Son of Emptiness.
Noah had no further use for it. Still,
"Wed me, and this is yours." He gave a firm nod. "As I said, I'm quite giving."
With stunned eyes, Pale regarded him, envisioning the vast possibilities unlocking if the Son of Emptiness's power fell into her grasp.
The notion of seizing it by force and fleeing didn't cross her mind. She couldn't. Unyielding dominion ruled this realm, and escape meant only ruining her current form.
Unthinkable now that the stone lay before her.
Still...
'Marry him?' Pale's brow furrowed at the idea. Matrimony was a concern for mortals like Noah alone. Even affection was alien to entities like her.
Love eluded her understanding, for she had never experienced it. Nor did she believe she ever would.
Her sole ambition, her unwavering pursuit, was amassing strength to confront an Interpreter and pose one vital query.
But herein lay the irony. True power demanded dismantling the very constructs forged by the Interpreters. Would answers come then? Or eternal denial?
Pale had no certainty. Yet she would tread this road steadfastly, enduring endless time and any cost demanded.
And if that cost included allowing a mere vessel to wed a loathsome inhabitant of Reality...
...then it was a bargain worth making for a taste of the Son of Emptiness's might.
With that resolve, the Pale Lady composed herself at last, now regarding
Noah with tranquil eyes.
She was set.
But before she could voice her thoughts, Noah's words rang out first.
"Oh, and yes, it goes without saying, but I need to clarify one thing..."
He beamed with honeyed warmth.
"...I want to marry the true you. Not just your vessel."
Pale's thoughts froze - but only for an instant - before her features contorted in fury as
she bellowed in outrage.
"I WILL KILL YOU!"
She sprang from her chair and pounced on Noah like a furious feline, slashing at his face in blind wrath, though she could achieve no more.
Noah endured it all, bursting into unrestrained laughter.
"If you've finished your outburst, let's get married, darling. I'm curious what your real form looks like."
"SHUT UP!"
"Hahahah!"
<Sigh...>
