Harem Stealer: Reborn with the God-Tier Sharing System Chapter 408: He cannot die

Chapter 408 – He cannot die

The question was addressed to all of them, but none of them managed to find an answer.

This time, they were not in their private room. Instead, they were inside a new forbidden zone birthed with the recent evolution of Laeh.

The forbidden zone was an endless black dune that stretched as far as the eyes could perceive, with jagged towers made of sand. Above, the white sky, the suns and moons of Laeh were veiled. All you could see was a swirling storm of ebony sand that bloated the sky from view.

The pressure was immense and crushing, able to make lower-ranked beings unable to breathe correctly.

And if one looked closely at the dune, one would notice how it slithered here and there, as if something was moving beneath.

And something was slithering.

It was worm-like beasts with fragmented bodies painted in deep black. These beasts had no eyes, but their hearing was powerful enough to compensate fully for the lack of sight.

Noah and his wives were sitting in the middle of this forbidden zone, not minding the storm in the least. Behind Noah was a gargantuan ebony Wormsable, the leader of this forbidden zone.

Noah was leaning on it while asking his question.

"Which origin, huh?" Shadeva echoed quietly, her hand resting on her chin.

Her concept was Motherhood. Like Providence, who needed Fate, Destiny and Causality, it was the same with Motherhood.

Not only her, some of them who had very rare concepts like Providence, Motherhood, Decadence needed multiple origins fused together to reflect their concepts. And all of this made the path Noah wanted to take much harder.

They not only needed to find where these origins were, but also either convince them...or force them to yield their nature.

Clearly, it wouldn’t be a walk in the park.

All of them were thinking, trying to find the correct path in this situation.

"Clearly," Christelle suddenly began, "all of us need to act for the process to be faster. It would not be wise for all of us to go to the same origin each time. We need to divide our strength to maximize our chances."

"A smart remark none would believe from you, Christelle," Dominique chirped, making Christelle’s lips twitch before her pink eyes swirled with seriousness, "but she is right."

"We need to first decide the origins we’re targeting, then know where they are or who holds them, before choosing who will go where."

The wives all nodded in unison.

"The wisest choice to not waste time," Elira added.

At her words, Noah — who was leaning on Wormy, the name he gave to the Wormsable — slightly frowned. It wasn’t like he didn’t understand the reasoning behind their words.

But after what happened with Sari in the Shadow Realm, it seemed like he got some PTSD from leaving his wives alone in dangerous places.

True, he could do everything to prevent them from being killed or abused in any way...but after the power he glimpsed yesterday, Noah knew anything could happen.

He swallowed back a weary sigh, not wanting them to notice.

And he thought he had hidden his worry well enough, but his wives picked up on it easily.

"You are annoying, husband," Appolonia uttered with dissatisfaction, the others nodding, "why are you treating us as if we’re fragile glass that might shatter at the slightest touch?"

Selene smiled wryly at his side, "It’s true, my baby. We understand your worry, but it’s discouraging — even insulting — for you to act as if the world would collapse if we fight on our own."

She leaned into him, "We are not weak, Noah. You gave us everything you could, and you would protect us the best you can. But do not burden yourself with more than that."

"I can destroy things better than you!" Anya bellowed, raising her little fist, "so don’t look down on me!"

"And will you stop us from giving justice to the power you gave us?" Solaris smiled, "that would be a shame, husband."

Each of his wives began to berate him for worrying too much.

It was nice for him to care, but too much would eat away at their confidence.

They needed him to support them, not cradle them like children. They were not.

Providence watched with a smirk. It was rare to see her sisters angry at Noah. Even rarer to see them display it openly.

That showed just how frustrated they were.

Noah raised his hands in surrender. "God forbid a husband is just worrying for his wives," he sulked, making some of them hmph while others smiled.

Neko, Lea and Lucie didn’t care from the start.

"I like Noah’s worry," Neko purred, curling on his left shoulder. Noah gave her a soft kiss for being too cute.

The others rolled their eyes at Neko’s attempt to curry favor.

Noah smiled, sighed softly, lowering his hands and head, thoughts swirling.

They let him think in silence, the only sound being the storm of sand.

After a moment, Noah finally raised his head and focused on the two beings who hadn’t uttered a single word since the beginning.

Asaemon and Aurelia.

They were swallowing sweets, popcorn, soda continuously, with Virgo beside them explaining how one flavor suited them better and how she wouldn’t pity them once they began playing fighting games.

Asaemon was motivated to prove his sister-in-law wrong, while Aurelia looked too old for games but found sweets enjoyable to eat while reading.

The three looked like they were in an entirely different world.

Noah’s lips twitched. He resisted the urge to slap Asaemon’s face.

He wouldn’t touch the women. He was too gentlemanly for that.

[You said that but you tortured a woman mercilessly. You are still torturing her, by the way.] Providence snickered in his mind.

Noah’s lips twitched more, ’Torture? Please, I was gentle with her, darling. Don’t slander my good-guy persona.’

Providence snickered again.

"Now," Noah said, looking at the trio, "why don’t you give me your thoughts, dear siblings?"

"Virgo, don’t let Asaemon corrupt you with bad habits."

"Hey hey hey! Noah, she’s the one corrupting me! I can’t forget these flavors anymore!" he protested.

Virgo made an innocent face.

"My wife would never. Stop slandering her," Noah immediately defended her, making Virgo and her sisters laugh.

Asaemon opened his mouth to defend himself, but Aurelia beat him to it.

"What do I think?" Aurelia echoed, and instantly, all of them focused.

They nodded, waiting.

Aurelia fell silent, thoughts churning. After a few seconds she finally spoke,

"Your wives are right, youngest. Doing this endeavor one by one would take too much time and drain you in the long run. True, you want to protect them, but as they said... they are not fragile women. Don’t make them look like fragile things."

"Let them shine too."

The wives nodded, giving her a thump up, "Well said, sister-in-law!"

Aurelia mentally grinned, ’perfect opportunity to get closer to them and get their help with Noah.’

Then her golden eyes hardened.

"But I shall give you some advice, as someone who knows more of the universe’s powers than you."

"I know you will need the remaining Origin of Frost." Her gaze flicked toward Selene. "But for that one, I advise you, Noah, to take it by yourself. And do it at the very end, after accumulating enough power."

Noah tilted his head. "Why?"

Aurelia let silence settle before breaking it with a cold voice.

"Because the Origin is held by the King in The North, who is at Myriad Creator rank with more than three laws understood."

They all raised their eyebrows as Aurelia clenched her fists, knuckles turning bone-white.

"And besides, he has more than one origin. More precisely, he has six of them."

Their eyes widened.

"One of them being the Origin of Samsara."

Aurelia’s voice was flat.

"He cannot die."
