Global Era of Star trekking Chapter 1743 - 850: Transaction Outcome and the Mythic Poisonous Flood Dragon (Part 2)
Previously on Global Era of Star trekking...
"It truly lives up to its reputation as a treasure capable of boosting the odds of ascending to the mythical realm by twenty percent..."
With a silent sigh, he moved without delay, pushing the [Metal Law Fragment], the [Ruins Market Walking Rank], the [Seventh Rank Time Realm Fruit], and the [Intermediate Chaos Mirror Image Stone] toward his counterpart.
Yue Feng conducted a meticulous inspection of each item. His focus lingered particularly on the [Metal Law Fragment] as starlight danced across his fingertips, seemingly verifying the object's legitimacy.
After a few moments, he stowed the items away with satisfaction. The starlight enveloping him rippled slightly, and his voice carried a trace of profound meaning:
"Greedy Wolf Palace Master, it has been a pleasure trading with you. I look forward to our future dealings."
A thin smile played on Song Chi’s lips.
"Likewise!"
Yue Feng offered no further words, merely casting a deep, lingering look at him.
Exiting the inn room, he ascended quickly to the third floor and entered the assigned [Market Walking Room]. His form began to dissolve into starlight, eventually fading into nothingness within the chamber.
Sensing that the other party had departed from the market, Song Chi stood silently upon the Ruin Market Firmament. Hidden from all eyes, he gazed down at the [Star Core’s Tear] resting in his palm.
"At last, it is mine..."
He whispered under his breath, a sharp light flickering within his eyes.
While this exchange appeared to have cost him dearly, the truth was that neither the [Metal Law Fragment] nor the [Intermediate Chaos Mirror Image Stone] held overwhelming value to him.
The same could be said for the [Seventh Rank Time Realm Fruit] and the [Ruins Market Walking Rank].
However, the [Star Core’s Tear] was a different matter. As a supplementary promotion resource for reaching the mythical realm, it was an essential requirement if the [Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong] was to ever evolve into a Mythical Immortal Ship.
"Now, I only need to collect the three materials for the special resource formula. Then, I can attempt to push the Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong into the mythical realm..."
Securing the [Star Core’s Tear], he peered into the far reaches of the Void Sea. It was as if his vision pierced the Endless Void, witnessing the mythical conflict destined to erupt in less than twenty thousand years—a battle sure to defy all imagination.
"Time... is slipping away."
With a soft murmur, he shook his head and turned his attention back to the promotion resources already in his possession.
Beyond the [Star Core’s Tear], he held a drop of [Mythical Ancestor Origin Blood]. Furthermore, the [Life Prayer God Sacrifice] component template was already saved within the [Miracle Cloning Chamber]. Once the formula for the extra promotion resources was finalized, the Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong would possess a formidable chance of success.
If he could also incorporate the energy tide baptism of a Ninth Level Floating Land during the process, along with the dual "Time·Retrospect" effects from the original and replica [Time Chess Board], Song Chi would feel extremely confident in his ascent to the mythical realm.
Naturally, before that could happen, the Ninth Rank and higher Luck Holy Blood within the [Blood Holy Grail] had to be topped off. The higher the base success rate, after all, the more potent the support from the two [Time Chess Boards] would be.
...
Deep within the Origin Star, the image warship of the Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong drifted like a specter through jagged rifts in the void.
Song Chi’s consciousness inhabited the Ethereal Body within the Battleship Main Control Room. He stared through the viewports at the chaotic, ever-shifting storm turbulences outside.
As the cooldown for the Mirror Image Splitting finally ended, he immediately resumed his exploration of the Origin Star.
[Scan of Area No. 37 is complete. No unique energy signatures found.]
The cold, synthetic voice of the Dome Sky Wisdom Brain vibrated through the cabin.
Song Chi’s long fingers tapped the control interface, summoning a holographic star map.
The map displayed blue grids representing explored and relatively safe zones; two-thirds of the area was already cleared.
A slight frown touched his face. Compared to his previous hauls from the Time Trace Rifts, the treasures found in these stable regions were underwhelming.
He was currently weighing the risks of expanding his search into the more volatile danger zones. Although less than a millennium had passed since the Origin Star’s collapse—leaving plenty of time before the ten-thousand-year threshold—the total lack of leads on the three vital materials for the Mythical Immortal Ship upgrade made him restless.
Suddenly, an urgent signal pulsed.
It did not originate from the ship’s comms, but from the Five-Colored Torch Seed nestled deep within his Ancestral Torch.
Entering the Zhu Tian Ruins Market, Song Chi immediately checked the Torch Network and found a message from Ying Yi.
"Greedy Wolf, get to coordinates X-7493, Y-2281 immediately! We’ve located a massive Sun Deuterium Stone—it’s large enough to fulfill the special resource requirements for ten Superdimensional Mother Ships!"
Ying Yi’s voice was thick with excitement and haste. "However, it is being guarded by two God-level Poisonous Flood Dragons!"
The mention of the Sun Deuterium Stone made Song Chi’s heart race.
This was exactly one of the three critical materials needed for the Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong to reach the mythical realm and a core part of the special resource formula.
Yet, the report of two mythical Poisonous Flood Dragons gave him pause.
Having recently engaged three true Mythical Units, he understood the terrifying power of such beings all too well.
Though there were only two, these Poisonous Flood Dragons were native to the Origin Star. Unlike outsiders, they were not suppressed or rejected by the Origin Star’s source will—a massive inherent advantage.
Despite the risk, he did not waver. Directing his spiritual focus, he commanded the Image Warship to pivot instantly. Ghostly blue flames erupted from the engines as the vessel sped toward the coordinates provided by Ying Yi.
"Maximum speed!"
The ship tore through the void like a ghost, moving at a staggering pace.
As he traveled, gathering signals from Jiang Yuan and Ferdinand also arrived.
To challenge two mythical Poisonous Flood Dragons, it was only logical to summon the most powerful figures of their civilization.
When the Image Warship finally reached the destination, the sight that met Song Chi was breathtaking.
A chunk of crimson-gold ore, the size of a small asteroid, hung in the void. Its surface pulsed with energy like liquid sunlight—the legendary raw form of Sun Deuterium Stone.
Circling the ore were two dark green flood dragons. Their bodies, though compressed to a few kilometers in length, shimmered with an eerie purple light on their scales. With every breath, they exhaled clouds of corrosive poison into the vacuum.
Ying Yi’s "Immortal Qin Ancestor Dragon" avatar was positioned behind a large piece of stellar debris, its hull masked by a camouflage field.
Once the Heavenly Ruins Cang Qiong Image Warship arrived, Song Chi maneuvered into a stealthy position and established a secure link with the Immortal Qin Ancestor Dragon.
Shortly after, the "Shenxia Jiuli Ship" Mythical Immortal Ship Avatar and the "Heavenly Light" warship avatar arrived on the scene.
Inside the Shenxia Jiuli Ship’s [Original Torch Seed Network Group Chat]:
"The situation is more complicated than I anticipated."
Ying Yi spoke first, the normally stoic Emperor now wearing a deep frown.
"Those two flood dragons arrived nearly the same time I did, spotting the Sun Deuterium Stone almost instantly. The stone contains a violent energy that makes it perfect for cultivating mythical toxins. They are trying to consume it; we have to act fast to stop them."
Song Chi watched the flight patterns of the two dragons with a serious expression.
"Their teamwork is perfect; they are clearly mates. We might be able to handle one, but facing both at once..."
"It might be worth an attempt..." Jiang Yuan’s calm voice cut through the chat. As the only true Mythical Immortal Captain currently with the Torch Civilization, even though he was stationed at the exit, he was confident his avatar could at least tie down one of the mythical beasts.
Still, for Ying Yi and the others, a three-on-one fight was no guarantee of victory. They weren't using their primary ships, and despite their high-quality avatar components, they couldn't match the power of their main bodies.
Ferdinand eventually offered a tentative plan:
"Why don't we try to stall them?"
"Ji Heng is in the final stages of his breakthrough. Once he finishes and joins us, our chances of success will be much higher!"
Hearing this, Jiang Yuan, Ying Yi, and Song Chi looked at one another. No words were needed; they reached a silent consensus immediately.
