Follow the path of Dao from infancy Chapter 1755 Chapter 449: Sweeping Across Eight Domains (Part 2)

"Wait... this peak is split in two—there are remnants of a battle here!"
"Was that kid from the Human Race the one who fought in this place?"
The expressions of the group turned frigid. They resolved that if they crossed paths with that Human Race brat later, they would force him to pay a steep price. They were a party of four, while he stood alone and could only wield three Domain Artifacts; he was clearly outmatched.
They surged forward at high speed.
Suddenly, a sense of unease washed over the four. They had traversed nearly a third of the territory, passing over rivers, mountains, forests, and lakes, yet not a single Chaos Dao Beast had appeared!
"What is going on? Could the Chaos Dao Beasts here have gathered together?"
Fueled by suspicion, they slowed their pace and moved with heightened caution. However, as time slipped away... they eventually scoured the entire region only to make a shocking discovery: there wasn't one Chaos Dao Beast left. Only several battle scars remained, proving that conflict had indeed occurred.
"Is it possible that kid slaughtered every Chaos Dao Beast in this area?!"
"That’s impossible! He’s just a single person!"
"Aside from him, we are certainly the first to reach this place. We flew straight here with only a minor holdup in the Seventh Layer Heavenly Domain; no one could have outpaced us."
The four felt their confidence waver. Could a lone youth truly sweep through the entire Eighth Layer Heavenly Domain? It seemed inconceivable. Even if the gap between the Seventh and Eighth Layers wasn't massive, such a feat still required significant effort. Was it possible the Chaos Dao Beasts here were unusually scarce, letting the boy pick them off one by one?
Gripped by a dark premonition, the four hurried toward the second territory.
Before long, they found the second area equally deserted, devoid of any Chaos Dao Beasts.
Their faces grew increasingly grim as they noticed other cultivators had also reached the Eighth Layer Heavenly Domain, forcing them to accelerate their search.
The third region, the fourth... every single one was empty of Chaos Dao Beasts, leaving behind nothing but the ruins of combat.
While the four were busy searching, Li Hao had already cleared the ninth territory. He continued his journey, bringing Di Lingshu along as they crossed into the Ninth-layer Heavenly Domain.
"We've finished with the Eighth Layer; you don't think they've headed for the Ninth-layer Heavenly Domain as well, do you?"
Di Lingshu no longer tried to dissuade Li Hao from entering the Ninth-layer Heavenly Domain. After all, the Chaos Dao Beasts of the Eighth Layer had fallen to Li Hao in single strikes. No matter how dangerous the Ninth-layer might be, Li Hao surely possessed the means to protect his life and escape if necessary. It was a risk worth taking.
Furthermore, Li Hao had noted that the four savage beasts lying in wait outside the Chaos River might have been Chaos Dao Seeds from the Ninth-layer. He had dispatched them with ease back then. If the Ninth-layer was of a similar level, it was definitely worth an attempt.
"Let them come if they wish. We will handle our business, and they can handle theirs," Li Hao remarked.
He had no interest in competing with the others; his only goal was to continue his harvest. If others managed to grab an opportunity, it was simply a reflection of their own luck and skill.
Di Lingshu gave a nod, though she remained deeply perplexed. How could Li Hao possess such overwhelming power after refining only 23 Chaos Laws? Had the rumors been exaggerated? It was common knowledge that even with 23 Chaos Laws, one should face peril in the Eighth Layer, especially when encountering Beast Kings. Yet, she watched as Li Hao crushed his enemies effortlessly, never even meeting a Beast King—only swift, lethal strikes.
"It looks like the Ninth-layer Heavenly Domain is about to get interesting," she mused.
As Li Hao made his way toward the Ninth-layer, an increasing number of people arrived at the Eighth Layer. The Chaos Red Demon Clan and their peers had finished inspecting eight territories, finding no sign of Chaos Dao Seeds, and their sense of dread only intensified.
A terrifying thought began to take root in their minds, though they were loath to admit it.
Clinging to a final thread of hope, they rushed toward the last piece of land.
However, once they finished their search, they stood there in a daze.
Not a single living Chaos Dao Beast remained in the Eighth Layer Heavenly Domain. What could have possibly transpired?
"Did... did that Human Race kid really clear this entire place? In such a short window of time?"
"Could the Chaos Dao Beasts here be weak? Even a simple fight should take some time to conclude!"
The group was shaken and confused, unable to grasp the reality of the Eighth Layer. They felt something was fundamentally wrong. Was it that the beasts were few and far between—perhaps only two or three per area—allowing the youth to kill them rapidly?
Unable to find any other explanation, their confusion soon turned to fury and bitterness.
"If we had just used the Domain Artifacts to block him earlier, he wouldn't have snatched the advantage!" the Chaos Ancient Clan member with peacock feathers on his head complained, his face dark.
The others remained silent. No one had foreseen this outcome.
"This just proves the Eighth Layer isn't as formidable as the legends say. We must hurry to the Ninth-layer Heavenly Domain. There are bound to be many Chaos Dao Seeds there; we cannot let him steal them again!" the Chaos Red Demon Clan member declared.
Just as the group prepared to move, two figures descended from the distance.
"Were you the ones who slaughtered the Chaos Dao Beasts here?"
The leader, a woman with white hair and a cold gaze, spoke with a calm but stern tone, her brows knitted in a frown.
Beside her stood a young white-haired girl who looked like a servant, holding an umbrella decorated with a delicate mandarin duck pattern.
"The Ancient Immortal Clan!"
At the sight of the white-haired woman, the expressions of the four shifted. She was also of the Chaos Ancient Clan, but there were tiers of status within that lineage. While they belonged to the highest of the nine standard classes, there was a superlative rank above them all—the Ancient Immortal Clan. They were known as the oldest Chaos Immortal lineage in existence, a bloodline that had produced a peerless Sword Immortal and established a legacy that reached far beyond the Primordial True Realm.
