Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2785: 1527: The Banquet Begins (Part 2)

Furthermore, the Broken Valley Alliance had previously reached the peak among third-class powers, and it continues to evoke dread among enemies, particularly since they remain uncertain regarding Old Gary’s capabilities.

'No surprise that a fresh city has risen from the wreckage of the lich’s massive metropolis; it appears the elites of the Broken Valley Alliance are back.'

Administrator I closely examined Old Gary and his companions, pretending to be astonished: “Yet based on the most recent reports I’ve gotten, it looks like some undead stragglers are still roaming about. Hasn’t the former chief spotted them?”

Without doubt, Administrator I meant Old Gary and his companions with that remark.

The intent behind the inquiry was obviously to probe Old Gary for details, worried that he might already connect him to the 'undead stragglers.' Indeed, Old Gary and his companions had vanished for quite some time, making their abrupt return quite suspicious.

“We’ve utterly wiped out those stragglers already.”

Old Gary kept his face composed, replying coolly: “Certainly, Your Excellency the Administrator is aware that our grudge against them runs too deep to reconcile.”

This response from Old Gary stemmed naturally from his discussion with Leo Ray.

Both recognized that neither the Administrator nor the Market Guards could venture beyond the Shadow Market. Whatever they observed would be distant at best, leaving them clueless about the details.

Once he finished, Old Gary turned to Administrator I and inquired, “Are you not glad to see us, Your Excellency?”

“Of course not. As companions introduced by Your Majesty of the Humans, you’re certainly honored visitors to me.”

Though doubtful, Administrator I fixed his gaze on Old Gary briefly before flashing a cunning grin and shifting topics: “Very well then, honored visitors, do enter. The feast starts this evening.”

With those words, Administrator I motioned welcomingly and started guiding them along.

Stepping into this strange Shadow Market, Leo Ray surveyed the surroundings and observed more closely.

Differing from their own Administrator’s Shadow Market, all elements here—from the structures lining the streets to the lamps and pavement—were remarkably oversized, obviously designed for Half-Titans and Stone Giants.

Still, the immense scale of the Land of Divine Favor’s gates made it tough to tell externally, yet no Half-Titans or Stone Giants appeared on the expansive avenues.

To be precise, aside from their party, the whole broad district stood utterly empty of any souls.

Seeing this, Loris, Sina, Gary, and the rest couldn’t avoid knitting their brows deeply.

All understood that the Half-Titans and Stone Giants were the real banquet organizers, and as such, their failure to appear showed blatant disregard for their party.

Within the party, solely Leo Ray stayed serene and steady, scanning about with keen curiosity.

Leo Ray had foreseen exactly this. After all, the opponents formed a solid second-class force, so their arrogance toward them was expected, and part of this journey aimed to humble their pride.

“Eh? The honored visitors seem rather displeased. Have I overlooked something?”

Administrator I sharply detected the odd vibe from their party and queried with a knowing, amused smile.

“You’re thinking too much, Your Excellency the Administrator.”

Leo Ray subtly arched a brow and casually asked, “Your Excellency, I suspect we’re not the sole invitees to this evening’s feast, right?”

“Ha, truly nothing escapes Your Majesty of the Humans.”

A touch of mockery laced Administrator I’s tone as he answered, “Right you are, though those invitees are exceptionally noble, so we must request that you encounter them.”

“Encounter? They’re invitees, just as we are. Why use 'encounter'?”

Loris folded his arms, his brow creasing slightly.

“The nobler the invitee, the unique the reception they get. That’s the unyielding custom of the Shadow Market. Surely you’re not ignorant of it, Your Excellency?”

Administrator I replied with feigned naivety: “Moreover, as you’ve likely surmised, I merely supply the location. Those noble figures are the banquet’s actual organizers. How could I meddle in the organizers’ choices? Please grasp my constraints.”

“If they’re the banquet organizers, how can they ignore their invitees?”

Loris persisted without yielding, huffing disdainfully: “Are these banquet organizers just a horde of rude savages?”

“A trivial savage lion, so bold!”

A booming, deep rumble echoed, as colossal silhouettes dropped from above, instantly shaking the nearby district.

Once the ground’s quakes faded, the foremost colossal silhouette advanced, looming over their party and declaring, “Our courtesy extends only to the mighty, and you lot are mere weaklings. What courtesy is warranted?”

Leo Ray focused on the source of the voice.

The forefront colossus stood no less than six meters high, his sturdy frame fully clad in gleaming golden armor. Standing out were the firm chest guard bulging with his muscles and the six jutting belly guards that drew the gaze. The bare skin at the armor’s seams shone with a bronze sheen, and he sported no helm. His coarse, bronze visage brimmed with contempt and derision.

Trailing the golden-armored colossus, the remaining giants donned matching bronze armor, every one fitted with a fully enclosed helm exposing just an eye slot.

Suddenly, these half-Titan powerhouses, their huge shapes eclipsing the light, panted forcefully, their breaths resembling successive blasts of gale-force winds roaring through, displaying undeniable vigor far surpassing typical peers at their level.

“Your Majesty of the Humans, that’s Bisos, a half-Titan general. We’ve battled him repeatedly in the past.”

Thomas, Rainforest’s deputy chief, moved ahead and murmured to Leo Ray: “Dealing with him is incredibly tough; our chief never once held the upper hand against him.”

After speaking, Thomas creased his brows as well.

Truthfully, he was being kind to Loris. In reality, Bisos’s arrival always forced Loris to flee.

“Tier 6 Peak, huh? His escorting troops hit Tier 6 too. They’ve come thoroughly equipped, it seems.”

Leo Ray’s eyes sharpened a bit, and he gave a faint nod.

“What’s this, Bisos? Did we strike a sore spot?”

Buoyed by Leo Ray’s presence, Loris grew bolder and refused to retreat.

“Merely some vanquished losers; what nonsense!”

With that, Bisos hoisted his enormous fist and lunged abruptly at Loris.

Seeing this, the onlookers were stunned, unprepared for the direct assault that plainly sought to cow their party!

Particularly Administrator I, who didn’t intervene but watched with evident delight, remaining aside with the fellow Market Guards.

“Don’t suppose this chief dreads you!”

Loris moved with lightning speed, thrusting his fist to counter.

Boom!

In a deafening explosion, Loris staggered back multiple paces; though his energy shield held, his presence had visibly weakened. Clearly, he’d taken the worse of it.

“You’re nothing more than pathetic, useless fools. Allow this general to school you, savage lion!”

Bisos’s gigantic bulk, akin to a crashing peak, charged at Loris anew!

Right then, a lofty silhouette shot ahead directly into Bisos’s huge fist.

Boom!

Another tremendous blast erupted. Now, the giant chief reeled back several steps, almost toppling, appearing thoroughly disheveled.

“Who are you?”

Struck with abrupt alarm, Bisos’s stare grew dark and icy.
