Everyone Is A Lord: My Talent Is A Little Too Strong Chapter 2610: 1437: A Shocking Truth (Part 2)

Leo Ray summoned the Administrator to activate the Truth Array, a mystical device capable of detecting falsehoods in real-time. As the leaders of the Desert Alliance and the Rainforest Fortress Alliance continued their heated arguments, the array remained unchanged, confirming that neither side was responsible for the recent ambushes. This revelation forced the group to accept that a hidden third-party force has been orchestrating the conflict from the shadows. Suspicion has now shifted toward the missing Desert Deputy Leader and the possibility of a deeper conspiracy intended to bring about their total ruin.

“We have traveled this far and successfully forced our rivals into submission. Who could possibly possess the motivation to orchestrate such a complex and deceptive scheme?”

Broy knit his brows, lost in contemplation for a moment. Suddenly, a flash of insight crossed his face, and he blurted out, “Could it be…”

As Broy reached his realization, the other powerhouses in the room reacted similarly, the same conclusion clearly forming in their minds.

“Precisely. There is only a single faction remaining that we have not utterly crushed: the Witch Demon.”

Leo Ray voiced the suspicion shared by everyone, further asserting, “Previously, we managed to drive back this sudden and powerful enemy with the aid of the Ancient Dark Elves. However, that was evidently not their full strength. Furthermore, a portion of the Witch Demons managed to escape the battlefield.”

“After Your Majesty ruined their conspiracy and inflicted heavy casualties upon them, the Witch Demon Leader must be consumed by a desire for vengeance. Since they lack the power to challenge us directly, they have devised this treacherous snare to spark a war between us and the two alliances.”

A look of heavy solemnity settled on Harnell’s weathered face as he gave a slow, deliberate nod.

“If we were to blame either alliance and ignite a total war, those Witch Demons would simply sit back and gather the spoils. It is a truly diabolical strategy.”

The veins on Nal’s forehead throbbed with rage. His expression was a mask of murderous intent as he shouted, “Those filth actually dared to target Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince. I will never grant them forgiveness!”

Following Nal’s outburst, the other powerful Dragonborn bowed deeply toward Leo Ray. “We implore Your Majesty to lead us in seeking retribution!”

“Have no fear; I shall ensure those villains are wiped out. In the meantime, our priority must be locating Dana and Davis as quickly as possible.”

Leo Ray nodded to Nal and the others, explaining, “Based on our earlier reasoning, it is highly probable that spies are embedded within one or both of the alliances. This suggests that Dana and Davis are likely being held captive somewhere within those alliances, rather than in the territory of the Witch Demons.”

“Your Majesty’s logic is sound. If the situation takes a turn for the worse, they may attempt to use the Dragonborn Queen and the others as leverage against us, making this matter vital.”

Fanny nodded in firm agreement before asking, “What is our next course of action?”

“The path is straightforward. Now that we are certain the two alliances are not the masterminds, we should reconcile with them and recruit their assistance. This will not only accelerate the search for Dana and the others but also provide reinforcements to help us destroy the Witch Demons.”

Leo Ray arched an eyebrow slightly and continued, “As for the subsequent steps, we will adapt as we go. No strategy survives contact with a changing reality, but this crisis at least provides an opportunity to bridge the distance between us and the two alliances.”

The group nodded in consensus at Leo Ray’s reasoning. Shortly after, Leo Ray and the Administrator made their way back to the main hall.

As Leo Ray stepped back into the vast, luminous hall, the thick aura of hostility that had permeated the room began to dissipate.

“I ask everyone to remain composed.”

Having confirmed that neither alliance was the true culprit, Leo Ray spoke with a faint, calm smile, “I have obtained fresh intelligence that has finally revealed the identity of the true perpetrator.”

“Oh? Has it finally been proven that the Desert Alliance is responsible?”

Loris, maintaining a stoic expression on his leonine face, was the first to chime in, “Your Majesty of the Humans, the Rainforest Fortress Alliance stands ready to join you in wiping them out!”

“The guilty are always the first to try and shift the blame. Rest easy, Your Majesty of the Humans, for the Desert Alliance is fully committed to helping you purge the real villains. We will personally deal with those elite forces from the Rainforest Fortress Alliance.”

Sina refused to back down, letting out a cold snort. “Can we now confirm that the Rainforest Fortress Alliance is indeed the mastermind?”

“I believe there is no longer a reason for the two of you to fight one another, as the actual culprit is a different entity entirely.”

Leo Ray spoke plainly, laying out the details regarding the Witch Demons.

“So, it is those foul creatures after all.”

Upon hearing Leo Ray’s explanation, Loris’s eyes sharpened. He frowned, noting, “The lands inhabited by the Witch Demons are perpetually choked by a miasma so thick you cannot see your own hand. Only those with Tier 5 strength can traverse it safely. Had it been otherwise, my Rainforest Fortress Alliance would have wiped them out long ago.”

“The leader of the Rainforest certainly likes to boast. From what I recall, you have suffered significant setbacks at their hands.”

Sina shot a sharp look at Loris before turning back to Leo Ray. “Do not worry, Your Majesty of the Humans. Those wretches tried to use me as a puppet as well, and I will not let that stand. Should Your Majesty decide to move against them, we will support you with our entire strength.”

“The Rainforest Fortress Alliance will not sit by like fools while others pull our strings. We will certainly provide our assistance!”

Just as Loris finished speaking and prepared to argue with Sina again, Leo Ray’s voice cut through the tension. “I recognize the commitment of both leaders. I will notify you both when the time comes to strike the Witch Demons. Furthermore, there is another task I require your help with.”

Leo Ray then explained the mission to find Dana and Davis.

“You have my word, Your Majesty of the Humans. The moment I return, I will launch a full-scale search.”

Loris struck his chest in a gesture of loyalty, agreeing without a hint of doubt.

“We shall do the same. Please rest easy, Your Majesty of the Humans,” Sina added quickly, not wanting to be outdone.

Leo Ray was, after all, the possessor of the high-tier equipment they desperately desired. Combined with their genuine fury over being manipulated, they were prepared to stand as allies—at least until the Witch Demons were dealt with.

Observing the resolute glints in the eyes of the two leaders, Leo Ray understood the underlying motivations. He kept his smile and replied, “Then I shall rely on your efforts.”

Following this, Leo Ray focused his attention and asked the question that had been weighing on his mind: “Why did both of you decide to concentrate your military forces at the border recently?”

“To be completely honest, Your Majesty of the Humans, it was because an internal source within the alliance found evidence suggesting that Your Majesty intended to move against us.”

This time, Sina answered with total sincerity.

“Our situation was identical. In such a scenario, it was only natural to take defensive measures,” Loris added, maintaining the same open attitude.

Since both factions had reached an understanding and were preparing to face a common enemy, there was no longer any point in keeping secrets.

“However, do the two of you not find it strange? You both moved your armies to the border at nearly the same time, followed immediately by the sudden assault on the Forest-side Fortress. Does that not seem far too calculated? It might be wise for you to scrutinize the origin of that intelligence.”

Leo Ray did not push the point further, but his meaning was unmistakable.

There were undoubtedly traitors within both alliances who had conspired with the Witch Demons, tricking both sides into a border standoff to clear the way for the ambush.

Loris and Sina immediately grasped the gravity of Leo Ray’s words, their eyes flashing with a cold, piercing light.

“Now, as time is of the essence, let us move to the primary matter. As the owner of the gear, I will keep my word. If you can provide items that meet my requirements, that set of equipment outside will belong to you.”

Leo Ray took his seat and produced the two Sixth-order Charging Potions he had shown earlier. “And these are the gifts I promised you earlier.”

Seeing Leo Ray follow through on his promises, the members of both the Desert Alliance and the Rainforest Fortress Alliance looked at him with a newfound sense of respect. They took deep breaths, trying to steady their nerves.

The upcoming negotiation would determine who would walk away with the Sixth-order equipment. Obtaining such power would be essential for rooting out the traitors and destroying the Witch Demons once and for all!

“Now, show me what you have brought for the trade.”

Leo Ray sat firmly at the table, giving a small nod to begin the proceedings.
