Cultivation is just so scientific! Chapter 1419 - 756: Formation

Previously on Cultivation is just so scientific!...
After shattering the Little Lei Yin Temple and reclaiming Ming Fa, Li Yuanba begins his journey back to the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion accompanied by Great Venerable Hongfa. To conceal the monk's true identity, Li Yuanba instructs him to pose as a recruited talisman and formation master. During their travels, Hongfa shares a tattered ancient text and his life's research on lost spatial transmission arrays. Utilizing the analytical power of the IBMz15, Li Yuanba begins deciphering these profound secrets, quickly optimizing a space acceptance array and leaving the seasoned expert in awe of his sudden mastery over spatial structures.

Li Yuanba sent word to his master, Jian Wuwei, regarding the current circumstances as he made his way toward the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion.

He was confident that Jian Wuwei possessed enough influence to facilitate bringing Great Venerable Hongfa back to his personal grotto heaven.

Indeed, his intention was to house Great Venerable Hongfa within his own grotto heaven. Even though Hongfa had shared the secrets of the spatial formation with him, the monk had dedicated centuries to the study of spatial arrays.

Li Yuanba preferred that Great Venerable Hongfa handle the actual operation of the spatial acceptance array rather than attempting to set it up himself.

Constructing a spatial acceptance array is far more complex than a standard formation; it requires the creator to either possess a deep comprehension of the laws of space or, like Li Yuanba, have mastered space divine skills.

Since space divine skills are essentially a physical expression of space laws, mastering them provides the necessary foundation to establish spatial formations.

Great Venerable Hongfa was the perfect candidate for this task, as he possessed expertise in both areas.

Jian Wuwei, Master Teng, and Master Lou were already waiting at the entrance of the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion when Li Yuanba arrived with Great Venerable Hongfa.

"This is the Great Venerable Hongfa. I am Lou Mian, this is Teng Wei, and this is Jian Wuwei, a direct descendant of the Jian Family. Welcome to the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion!" Master Lou first acknowledged Li Yuanba with a nod before offering a formal salute to Great Venerable Hongfa.

This was the first time Master Lou had actually met the monk, though he had heard many stories about him.

Under normal circumstances, the powerful cultivators of the great superpowers would have crossed paths or communicated with one another over the centuries.

However, Great Venerable Hongfa was an exception; he rarely engaged with other Sects. Because his combat strength was considered low and his life was devoted to spatial research, he was treated as a unique asset of Da Leiyin Temple rather than a typical Great Venerable.

"This old monk offers greetings to the two Great Venerables and the esteemed member of the Jian Family. I shall be in your care from this day forward!" Great Venerable Hongfa replied, pressing his palms together and bowing.

"Great Venerable Hongfa, I have arranged a grotto heaven for your use. Would that be acceptable?" Master Lou inquired with caution.

Jian Wuwei had already briefed him on the connection between Li Yuanba and the monk. Despite his long life and vast experience, Master Lou had never heard of a Great Venerable level expert entering into a soul recognition contract—especially one so restrictive—with a mere Nascent Soul Middle Stage Practitioner.

By asking this, he was showing respect to Great Venerable Hongfa while trying to gauge the true nature of their bond.

"As a servant, it is only right that I live within my master’s grotto heaven to be available for service at any time," Great Venerable Hongfa answered directly, his voice calm as he saw through Master Lou’s probing.

Had he been among peers or acquaintances, he might have tried to save face, but he knew no one outside of Da Leiyin Temple.

Furthermore, he was genuinely impressed by Li Yuanba’s prowess in battle and spatial knowledge. He believed in Li Yuanba’s destiny, and thus, he could accept his new status with grace.

Master Lou, however, was struck dumb by the monk’s bluntness and stood frozen for a moment.

Even with the prior warning from Jian Wuwei, hearing the confirmation directly from the mouth of Great Venerable Hongfa left him in a state of shock.

This man was a Great Venerable! Not only had Li Yuanba succeeded in his mission to kill the target, but he had also managed to enslave the very Great Venerable of Da Leiyin Temple who had been protecting that target.

The situation was so bizarre that Master Lou could only turn his bewildered gaze toward Li Yuanba.

"Uncle Master Lou, would you mind arranging a servant’s pass so Hongfa can move freely through the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion and the Sword Cave Heaven? As a core cultivator, I believe I have the right to request this?" Li Yuanba asked, a faint smile playing on his lips.

Core cultivators were permitted to bring a certain number of servants into their grotto heavens.

Usually, this right was used to bring in family members to serve the core cultivator, allowing them to benefit from the superior Cultivation environment of the exclusive grotto heavens.

For those who had not gained entry into a superpower, becoming a servant to a core cultivator was often seen as a golden opportunity to rise in the world.

Whenever a core cultivator needed attendants, many independent practitioners would scramble for the position.

Li Yuanba was simply following these established protocols to bring Great Venerable Hongfa into the Sword Intent Chongxiao Pavilion.

"I must consult with the Sword Elder on this matter!" Master Lou replied after a brief hesitation, unable to make such a call on his own.

The circumstances were entirely without precedent. While Li Yuanba had unused servant slots, the sheer power of Great Venerable Hongfa was terrifying. Granting such a powerful figure access to the Sword Cave Heaven as a "servant" was a decision that exceeded Master Lou's authority.

"Grant the request for Yuanba. Do not label him a servant; grant him the identity of a core cultivator instead!" The Sword Elder’s voice boomed through the air.

Though the Sword Elder was not physically present, his consciousness permeated the pavilion. It was impossible for a Great Venerable to enter the grounds without his knowledge.

"As you command, Sword Elder!" Master Lou bowed deeply in response.

The remaining formalities were handled quickly. Master Lou produced an Identity Jade Disc, recorded the necessary data, and presented it to Great Venerable Hongfa.

"Yuanba, see to Hongfa’s needs first. I shall come to speak with you in two hours!" the Sword Elder’s voice added.
