Dozens of Immortal Exalts stood gathered, fuming with rage. Despite their collective efforts, such a disastrous outcome left them unable to find any solace.

At this point, none of them possessed the bravery to hunt Yang Yutian alone. Not a single person among them could survive that formation; even a powerhouse as formidable as the Profound Spirit Master had perished.

Yet, if they remained together, Yang Yutian’s mastery of concealment would make finding him in the vast Skyscraping World nearly impossible.

Suddenly, a brilliant beam of light streaked across the firmament. The sight caused every Immortal Exalt to look upward in unison.

Flight was strictly limited within the Skyscraping World. No expert was capable of soaring at high altitudes, yet this streak of light moved at a height that none of them could ever hope to reach.

That elevation was firmly within the Skyscraping World’s forbidden zone, an area where the suppression of the formations should have been absolute!

Nevertheless, the streak of light proceeded without hindrance, cutting through the restricted airspace before plunging toward the ground.

“It is Xing Caijian of the Heavenly Star Palace!” one Immortal Exalt shouted, recognizing the elegant silhouette within the radiance.

In an instant, the eyes of many Immortal Exalts were fixed on Xing Caijian as she descended. Their feelings were a complex mixture of emotions.

It was obvious to everyone that Xing Caijian held some secret regarding the Skyscraping World, granting her passage into a central region where no one else was permitted to tread.

Moments later, Xing Caijian touched down. Clutching her ancient sword, her surrounding glow faded as she appeared directly in front of the seed of ways.

The seed of ways did not attempt to fly away. It had perhaps exhausted its energy, or perhaps it simply did not feel the need to reject Xing Caijian.

“Where is Yang Yutian? Have you seniors seen him?” Xing Caijian’s eyes lingered briefly on the seed of ways before scanning the surrounding Immortal Exalts. Her voice was not disrespectful, yet it lacked any particular reverence.

“Princess Caijian, was your earlier interest in Yang Yutian because you sensed the sovereign god artifact he carried? Are you also seeking the sovereign god artifact, Princess Xing Caijian?” a Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt questioned with a grave expression.

Hearing this, Xing Caijian’s face shifted slightly. She realized that Jian Chen’s possession of the sovereign god artifact was no longer a secret.

Just then, a stooped figure approached Xing Caijian. It was Lan Caidie, the vice cult leader of the Ghost Immortal cult.

Due to her recent use of the Remains of the Ghost Immortal, Lan Caidie appeared incredibly frail. Her face was as white as a sheet, and she swayed unsteadily as she stood, looking as though she might collapse at any second.

“Greetings, your highness. You have finally emerged, your highness.” Lan Caidie cupped her fist and bowed toward Xing Caijian. Her weak voice trembled with excitement; the arrival of Xing Caijian seemed to provide her with a newfound sense of hope, as if she had found a savior.

“Vice leader Lan, you still have the nerve to show your face? You have repeatedly stood against us. Do you not fear bringing ruin upon your Ghost Immortal cult?” The sight of Lan Caidie provoked the fury of many Immortal Exalts.

In her efforts to protect Jian Chen, Lan Caidie had effectively made an enemy of everyone present.

“What has occurred?” Xing Caijian asked, her brow furrowing as she looked at Lan Caidie.

“Your highness, fellow Yang Yutian is in grave peril. A late Immortal Exalt is hunting him,” Lan Caidie reported urgently. Originally, she hadn't cared much for Jian Chen, but she had learned from Xing Caijian that the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor held him in high regard. Since the Ghost Immortal cult owed a debt to the Emperor, Lan Caidie naturally wished for Jian Chen to remain unharmed.

“What did you say? A late Immortal Exalt is inside the Skyscraping World?” Xing Caijian’s expression darkened at the news. Her initial instinct was doubt, as it was almost unheard of for experts of that caliber to enter the Skyscraping World in person. There were simply no treasures here that would attract their attention.

“Lan Caidie, you are a vice cult leader of the Ghost Immortal cult and hold significant status. Why are you speaking such nonsense? A late Immortal Exalt appearing here? Hahahaha, who would believe such a thing?”

“A late Immortal Exalt? Why would such a supreme figure bother to come to a place like this?”

“Indeed, even the Illusion-condensing Swordmaster stayed outside. The Skyscraping World offers nothing of value to them. Even the masters of the medicinal gardens only send their disciples. They wouldn't waste their own time…”

Xing Caijian wasn't the only one with doubts; none of the Immortal Exalts present believed the claim. Even within peak organizations, a late Immortal Exalt was a pillar of power who rarely appeared in the world.

“Vice cult leader Lan, do you have any proof for this claim?” Xing Caijian asked, watching Lan Caidie with interest.

“I cannot prove it, for I have not seen this expert myself. However, Yang Yutian told me it was confirmed by the artifact spirit,” Lan Caidie explained with great effort.

Further back, Zuo Dao and the Heavenloss Master appeared. Their auras were unstable, and they appeared quite disheveled.

They had also overheard Lan Caidie’s words. Shock filled their eyes, as they too found the news hard to swallow.

“A late Immortal Exalt? Why would someone of that level hide their identity to infiltrate the Skyscraping World?” the Heavenloss Master whispered. He mentally reviewed the three hundred or so figures who had entered the world, analyzing every face.

Meanwhile, Xing Caijian’s demeanor became incredibly serious. Suddenly, she sheathed her ancient sword on her back and brought her palms together, activating a secret technique.

A unique aura immediately began to radiate from her, merging with the fabric of space and saturating the environment.

Moments later, the sky of the Skyscraping World turned dark, as if the sun had vanished and night had fallen instantly. Countless brilliant stars began to twinkle in the darkness, appearing in cluster after cluster until the sky was blanketed. There were too many to count.

In that instant, the sky above the Skyscraping World transformed into a vast cosmos, emitting a bone-chilling pressure.

“Is this… one of the peak formations of the Skyscraping World?”

“Could it be the legendary paramount formation of the Heavenly Star Palace, A Galaxy a World? It is said the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor himself helped construct the defenses of the Skyscraping World.”

“It might not be A Galaxy a World exactly, but it is certainly a peak formation of that same grade from the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor.”

As they gazed at the transformed sky, the expressions of the Immortal Exalts changed drastically.

They recognized this as one of the ultimate formations of the Skyscraping World, but they were stunned that Xing Caijian could manifest such power while only at the level of an Immortal Emperor.
