Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World Chapter 2272: Returning to the Tyrant Blade Sect

Previously on Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World...
Zhao Hai absorbed the Sacred Elephant Mountain's blood qi, rapidly advancing to the Earth Monarch Stage and significantly enhancing his crystallization ability and physical strength. Upon leaving, he encountered ten Earth Monarchs from the Purple Jade Gang who attempted to ambush him, but he effortlessly eliminated them. He then returned to Windchase Town, where he informed Ling Dong of his breakthrough and his intention to return to Demonheart City to prepare for joining the Forbidden Path Sect.

A brilliant flash of white light erupted from the transmission formation in Demonheart City as a figure materialized. Within Demonheart City, such arrays were not a common sight in every district. Only the first, second, and third cities boasted these formations, while the fourth and fifth cities lacked them entirely.

Furthermore, these transmission formations were not accessible to the general public. Their use was strictly reserved for the cultivators of the Forbidden Path Sect and the most influential gangs operating within the city walls.

The array located in the first city was especially exclusive, restricted solely to members of the Forbidden Path Sect and elite gang affiliates.

In contrast, the transmission formations in the second and third cities were technically open to everyone in Demonheart City. However, the majority of cultivators avoided them—not because they weren't disciples of the Forbidden Path Sect, but due to the steep cost. A single activation required 10 jade essences. While that might seem like a small sum to some, it was a fortune for rogue cultivators. That same amount could purchase a windchasing horse capable of serving them for over a decade. Unless faced with a dire emergency, even the gangs preferred using their mounts over the expensive arrays.

The man stepped off the transmission formation with a slow, steady gait. Clad in simple black robes, his appearance was entirely unremarkable, lacking any distinguishing features.

This individual was, of course, Zhao Hai. He had made his way back to Demonheart City by utilizing the transmission formation hidden within the auction house of Windchase Town.

Since a significant amount of time remained before the Forbidden Path Sect would officially open its gates, Zhao Hai kept his return a secret. By adopting a different face, he entered the city confident that he would remain undetected. As far as the world was concerned, Zhao Hai was still deep in seclusion back in Windchase Town.

He had no intention of visiting the Blood Knife Gang for the time being. He was well aware of the many eyes currently monitoring their every move. Even though Ling Dong had issued a warning on their behalf, Zhao Hai’s sudden appearance would only invite unnecessary trouble. Instead, he decided his destination should be the Abundance Hall.

The Abundance Hall was an enterprise owned by the Long Clan. Since the Long Clan held no real interest in the affairs of the Demon Blood Realm and possessed a formidable reputation, Zhao Hai knew he would be safe there. No one in Demonheart City would be foolish enough to provoke them.

The Abundance Hall remained the same thriving hub of commerce that Zhao Hai remembered. With the Forbidden Path Sect’s recruitment period approaching, rogue cultivators were flooding the city in search of fortune. This influx had caused the city's population to swell, driving up demand for goods. Given the Abundance Hall’s prestigious name, it was only natural that their business was booming.

Due to this massive wave of people, even the once-desolate fifth city was now nearly packed to capacity.

Observing this, the members of the Blood Knife Gang realized how brilliant they had been to choose such a remote location for their headquarters. Because it was tucked away from the main thoroughfares, they remained undisturbed despite the city's overcrowding.

Recently, Demonheart City had been plagued by violent turf wars. Several organizations far more powerful than the Blood Knife Gang had already been wiped off the map.

Violent outbursts were strictly forbidden within the city limits, so these bloody disputes were usually settled in the outskirts. Nevertheless, many smaller gangs had been forcibly evicted from their homes and driven into the wilderness beyond the city walls.

The upcoming opening of the sect had effectively triggered a massive power shift within Demonheart City. Numerous established but fading factions were being purged from the urban center.

The Blood Knife Gang avoided this chaos entirely. Their obscure location meant they were largely ignored. Of course, their survival wasn't just luck; they were protected by the shadow of the Abundance Hall and the weight of Ling Dong’s reputation. Ling Dong’s social circle included several inner disciples, and with their backing, no one dared to target the Blood Knife Gang.

Satisfied that the Blood Knife Gang was secure, Zhao Hai put them out of his mind. He was certain they had the strength to hold their own.

As Zhao Hai crossed the threshold of the Abundance Hall, he was greeted by a shop assistant. Not recognizing the disguised man, the assistant gave a polite bow and said, “Welcome to the Abundance Hall. May I know how I can help you?”

Zhao Hai offered a thin smile to the clerk and replied, “I have some goods I wish to trade, but I must speak with your shopkeeper to discuss them.”

The assistant studied Zhao Hai for a brief moment before responding, “Very well. Please follow me to the private waiting room, Mister, while I fetch the shopkeeper.” Zhao Hai nodded and was led away. After being served tea, the assistant departed to find Shopkeeper Yun.

It wasn't long before Shopkeeper Yun entered the room. Upon seeing Zhao Hai, a look of confusion crossed his face. There was something familiar about the man, yet he couldn't quite place him, which frustrated the shopkeeper.

Despite his uncertainty, Shopkeeper Yun bowed slightly and said, “I am the shopkeeper of this Abundance Hall. Might I ask what items Mister intends to trade?”

Zhao Hai glanced at the assistant and then back to Shopkeeper Yun, saying, “Shopkeeper, I must ask your assistant to step out. This is a private matter.”

Shopkeeper Yun’s eyes sharpened at the request. This stranger knew his name was Yun, which implied they were acquainted. Yet, for all his pride in his memory, he still couldn't identify the man.

With a wave of his hand, Shopkeeper Yun dismissed the assistant. Once the door closed, he turned to Zhao Hai and asked, “Mister, will you show me the items you wish to trade now?”

Zhao Hai chuckled softly as his physical form began to shift. His features blurred and reformed until his true face was revealed to Shopkeeper Yun. Cupping his fists, he said, “I hope Shopkeeper Yun can forgive the deception. I didn't want my return to be public knowledge, so I traveled in disguise.”

Shock registered on Shopkeeper Yun’s face for a second before it broke into a wide grin. “Little Hai, it’s you! Haha! No need for apologies. I’m simply glad to see you back. Is the rumor true? Did you really get your hands on a Bloodless Command Token?”

Zhao Hai nodded. “Yes, I won it at an auction. But given my current situation, I can only officially join the sect once the gates open. I can't return to the Blood Knife Gang right now; there are too many people watching them.”

Shopkeeper Yun nodded in agreement. “That is a wise move. If it's risky to go back, then staying away is best. What are your plans?”

Zhao Hai smiled. “I came here hoping you could provide me with a place to stay. I intend to enter seclusion for a while. Once the Forbidden Path Sect begins recruitment, I’ll make my move.”

“That’s easily handled,” Shopkeeper Yun replied with a smile. “I’ll have a room prepared for you immediately.” Zhao Hai cupped his fists and reactivated his disguise. Shopkeeper Yun watched the transformation, unable to hide his amazement at the technique.

Once settled in the private quarters, Zhao Hai informed the shopkeeper that his seclusion was beginning. He laid down protective formations around the room before secretly traveling back to the Tyrant Blade Sect.

The Tyrant Blade Sect was flourishing. They had managed to attract more disciples than even the Forbidden Path Sect, and even the once-quiet Yanyue Peak was now bustling with new residents.

In the past, Yanyue Peak was nearly derelict. It only began to show signs of life when Zhao Hai moved in, and since then, more people had followed. Because it had been neglected for so long, it lacked the modern housing found on other peaks.

However, with the Tyrant Blade Sect’s recent recruitment drive, Yanyue Peak had been renovated. New disciples were being stationed there, bringing its population in line with the rest of the sect.

Despite the crowd, Zhao Hai’s personal residence remained secluded. This was due to the presence of the Yin-Yang Elders, who had taken charge of the peak. With such powerful figures in residence, the sect wouldn't dream of assigned new students to Courtyard Number 52.

The moment Zhao Hai stepped into his courtyard, the two elders sensed him and came out to greet him. The Yin Elder smiled warmly and remarked, “Excellent. You’ve reached the Earth Monarch Stage. It’s clear you haven't been wasting your time.”

Zhao Hai smiled back. “I wouldn't dare slack off, Master. I had a fortunate encounter that allowed me to break through. However, I feel I haven't fully mastered this new power, so I returned to seek your guidance.”

The Yin Elder nodded. “Let’s discuss this inside.” The three of them moved to the living area and took their seats.

After a robot served them tea, the Yin Elder looked at Zhao Hai and said, “Tell us everything that has happened.”

Zhao Hai complied, detailing how he obtained the Bloodless Command Token and describing his trials in Gale Canyon. He also spoke of Sacred Elephant Mountain and how he had absorbed the blood qi found there.

The two elders listened intently, sighing at the sheer luck Zhao Hai possessed. The Yin Elder looked at him and suggested, “Shouldn't you be in seclusion to fully integrate that blood qi? That would be the most beneficial path for you.”

Zhao Hai answered, “I only returned to check in with you both. I’ll be heading back to Demonheart Mountain shortly to enter seclusion before the Forbidden Path Sect opens. That sect is renowned for its Body Cultivation techniques. I plan to use their training and resources to fully digest the blood qi from Sacred Elephant Mountain. By the time I’m done, my physical body will far surpass typical body cultivators. I might even become a core disciple of the Forbidden Path Sect.”

The Yin Elder couldn't help but chuckle. “It’s good that you’ve thought this through. We won't stand in your way. Just remember to be cautious with your actions within the Forbidden Path Sect. They are a Great Sect of the True Spirit Realm, after all, and a vital defense against the Ghost Cultivators.”
