Bringing The Farm To Live In Another World Chapter 2269: Valley of the Sacred Elephant

Zhao Hai endured three powerful punches from the white ape, who was impressed by his strength and resolve. The white ape then assigned Xiao Wu to Zhao Hai before disappearing, leaving Xiao Wu to reveal his clan's mission of guarding a mysterious stone coffin. Meanwhile, other cultivators, drawn by the commotion, infiltrated Strong Ape Mountain, only to be met with the full wrath of the strong apes. Zhao Hai, continuing his journey, headed towards the Valley of the Sacred Elephant, a forbidden area known for its unique 'essence gold' ore.

The Valley of the Sacred Elephant was home to many treasures, yet it remained a destination few cultivators dared to visit. This territory did not belong to humanity; instead, it was ruled by the Crazed Elephant, the most formidable beasts within the canyon.

Renowned throughout Gale Canyon, the Crazed Elephants resided in this valley where the soil was rich and the waters ran clear. It was the perfect sanctuary for their species to thrive.

The name "Crazed Elephant" originated from their ferocious style of combat. Their lineage boasted numerous powerful entities, with the most exceptional among them capable of toppling cultivators at the Teleportation Stage.

While Zhao Hai was uncertain if even mightier specimens lurked within the depths of the valley, he was convinced the location held secrets far beyond its surface appearance.

It was common knowledge that Strong Ape Mountain supposedly only housed Teleportation Stage Experts, a claim that had proven false. Similarly, the Valley of the Sacred Elephant was rumored to only possess experts of that same level. Zhao Hai, however, refused to believe that no beings stronger than the Teleportation Stage existed within its borders.

Tucked away in a secluded corner of Gale Canyon, the Valley of the Sacred Elephant saw very few visitors each year despite its isolation.

Of the few cultivators who ventured inside, a mere handful ever returned. The majority were slaughtered by the Crazed Elephants. Those lucky enough to escape with their lives would never dream of approaching even the outermost edges of the valley again, haunted by the fear of being hunted down.

To the uninformed, the Valley of the Sacred Elephant might seem less perilous than Strong Ape Mountain, under the assumption that one could survive the outer regions. However, anyone who had actually stepped foot inside would quickly abandon such thoughts. They would realize that the valley was undoubtedly more lethal than Strong Ape Mountain.

The interior of the Valley of the Sacred Elephant was a different world entirely, known as the Domain of the Sacred Elephant. Even those at the Teleportation Realm feared to tread there, as entering the inner sanctum usually meant certain death.

The inner valley felt like a separate realm compared to the outskirts. It was densely populated by Crazed Elephants who became truly nightmarish once their tempers were ignited.

There were even reports of Diamond Body Realm Crazed Elephants being sighted in the inner depths. No cultivator would dare provoke such creatures unless they possessed a death wish.

Beyond their sheer power, cultivators also feared the longevity of these beasts. Barring any accidents, Crazed Elephants lived significantly longer than humans, and with age came immense strength. Consequently, those with true knowledge of the canyon considered the Valley of the Sacred Elephant far more dangerous than Strong Ape Mountain.

Zhao Hai had reached the outer perimeter of the valley. Crazed Elephants were rare in this area, which was occupied by other high-level beasts. These creatures were formidable in their own right and were not to be trifled with.

Even here, cultivators were scarce. The risk of a random encounter with a Crazed Elephant was too great. A Crazed Elephant at the Earth Monarch Stage far outclassed a human cultivator of the same rank. Essentially, the average cultivator in Gale Canyon was no match for a typical Crazed Elephant.

Zhao Hai remained undeterred by these dangers. From a high vantage point, he surveyed the landscape. To him, it appeared less like a traditional valley and more like a vast, grassy plain dotted with occasional trees.

Sensing no immediate threats and finding no rare resources in the immediate vicinity, Zhao Hai began his trek toward the interior.

The resources Zhao Hai sought were not common ores or herbs. While spiritual herbs were actually more abundant in the outer valley than in the world outside, he had no interest in them.

Two specific goals drew Zhao Hai to this place: the acquisition of essence gold and the exploration of the vast outer region. Given his speed, it took over twenty-four hours to reach the threshold of the inner valley. While he hadn't found anything unique yet, he noted the strange geography; the two regions were joined like a gourd, connected by a narrow pass resembling a gourd's neck.

Past explorers had placed a stone monument at this boundary, confirming Zhao Hai's location. He paused briefly to look at the marker before crossing into the inner territory.

Contrary to his expectations, he wasn't greeted by herds of Crazed Elephants immediately. Instead, a distant forest stretched out before him.

Zhao Hai’s eyes brightened at the sight. He moved swiftly into the woods, discovering various unique plants and spiritual herbs that were non-existent in the outside world. Without a second thought, he harvested these specimens for the Space.

An hour later, a faint rustling reached his ears. The sound was far off, and only someone with Zhao Hai’s extraordinary hearing could have detected it.

Knowing that the inner valley was almost exclusively the domain of the Crazed Elephants, and since they were his objective, Zhao Hai advanced with caution.

He soon came across several Crazed Elephants foraging. They bore a striking resemblance to Earth's elephants, though they looked more like prehistoric mammoths than modern breeds.

These beasts were massive, standing over ten meters tall. Their bodies were covered in a thin layer of fur, and they possessed two ivory tusks that curved sharply like scimitars.

Zhao Hai watched them but held back. He was well aware that elephants were social creatures that protected their young fiercely. Abducting one now would likely trigger a valley-wide pursuit. He needed to secure the essence gold first.

Essence gold was a unique treasure of the Valley of the Sacred Elephant, but the outer regions had been picked clean over the years. Even though cultivators avoided large-scale mining to stay safe, enough individuals had scoured the area over time to exhaust the supply through constant searching and skirmishes.

Zhao Hai decided to prioritize the essence gold before capturing a Crazed Elephant for the Space. Thus, he left the group behind and continued his search.

Having studied Gale Canyon’s traits before his arrival, Zhao Hai was patient, conducting a methodical search of the area.

The inner valley held more than people realized. Aside from essence gold, there were numerous high-grade spiritual plants, though each was watched over by Crazed Elephants who clearly used them for their own needs. As for the essence gold, it remained elusive.

A full day passed without success. Zhao Hai eventually sought a place to rest. Although he was capable of operating in the dark, the valley became a hub of activity at night. While the common beasts posed no threat, he did not want to alert the Crazed Elephants to his presence.

Thanks to his formidable skills, he spent the night undetected. When morning came, he bypassed the local herds and resumed his hunt for the gold.

By the end of the third day, Zhao Hai was still empty-handed. This came as a surprise, as he had heard rumors of the valley being rich with the material. Yet, three days of searching had yielded nothing.

On the fourth day, he finally spotted a piece of dark ore hidden in a very well-concealed spot. Only Zhao Hai’s sharpened senses allowed him to find it. The ore was roughly the size of a basketball, though it would likely only produce a ping-pong ball-sized amount of pure essence gold once refined.

This was more than sufficient for his purposes. With just one sample, the Space could eventually generate an entire mine, providing him with a limitless supply.

With the essence gold secured, Zhao Hai turned his attention back to the Crazed Elephants. They were communal animals, and since the previous group he saw included a Teleportation Stage beast, snatching one without being noticed would be difficult.

He didn't rush his move. Instead, he spent time observing their behaviors and habits, waiting for an opportunity to take one while they were vulnerable.

After a day of monitoring, he noticed that the Crazed Elephants weren't entirely inseparable. They tended to cast out members who were becoming weak or sickly.

While scouting, Zhao Hai discovered a particularly ancient Crazed Elephant. Its skin was heavily wrinkled, its frame was gaunt, and its pace was sluggish. The creature wandered aimlessly, ignoring both food and water as if it no longer had the will to live.

Seeing this, Zhao Hai recalled an old legend. It was said that when an elephant neared the end of its life, it would depart from the herd to find a secret graveyard to die in peace. If these Crazed Elephants followed that instinct, this old beast was likely on its final journey to the grave.
