Apocalypse Gachapon Chapter 1938: From now on

Previously on Apocalypse Gachapon...
Ka Lan Ka, overlooked for the Bronze Order Leader position despite his ambitions and temporary management of the Bronze Camp, gains widespread support from its members due to the new appointee's delay. Resentful, he prepares to confront the Novice number one, Ye Zhongming, who arrives wearing the official mask. During their handshake, Ka Lan Ka attempts to crush Ye Zhongming's hand, but Ye swiftly counters by slitting his throat with a dagger. Ye then kills the shocked Leng Jiao before exiting to order the entire Bronze Camp to assemble on the training ground, casually directing his subordinates to clean up the bodies and relocate a favored potted plant to his room.

News of the incidents in the Bronze Camp spread swiftly, reaching every part of the Star-Eye Clan in no time.

It was unavoidable; the demise of a Deputy Order Leader counted as a huge incident on its own, particularly when the perpetrator was the freshly appointed Order Leader. At the same time, a Thousand-Person Commander met his end as well.

This turned out to be a shocking occurrence that would rattle the whole clan!

Although Ye Zhongming had already imposed his dominance through this act, instilling fear among all Bronze Camp warriors, nobody dared to hide the information. Within merely five minutes, the Star-Eye Clan's higher-ups learned of it. By ten minutes, the news had reached the entire clan.

Yet, those in the Bronze Camp awaiting a reply found it baffling that after dispatching the report, it seemed to vanish like a rock dropped into the ocean. Neither the Clan Leaders nor anyone else offered any reaction.

This awareness allowed sharp-minded people to grasp that the new Bronze Order Leader enjoyed the clan's complete and unwavering backing. Forget just eliminating Ka Lan Ka and Leng Jiao; he could purge every defiant member in the Bronze Camp without facing even the tiniest rebuke.

Thus, when the twenty-minute mark hit, every warrior from the Bronze Camp gathered on the training field.

Truly, every single one. Warriors out on tasks all hurried back.

After all, Bronze Mask Warriors' duties stayed inside the clan; they lacked the clearance for outside operations yet.

Though everyone had gathered, Ye Zhongming failed to show up, but nobody dared to complain.

The assembled Bronze Warriors heard from various mid-level officers about how Ka Lan Ka and Leng Jiao met their deaths. With a new Order Leader capable of slaying two powerful fighters in an instant, what issue was there in keeping you waiting?

Thirty minutes elapsed, then an hour, followed by two hours. Only nearly three hours past the scheduled gathering did Ye Zhongming finally step out from the command structure and position himself before all the Bronze Mask Warriors.

"Now, those at the level of Hundred-Person Commander and above, report your names to me again."

Ye Zhongming's words arrived steadily, yet to these Bronze Mask Warriors' ears, they bore an unfathomable chill.

"I am the First Thousand-Person Commander of the Bronze Camp, Zhong Hongke."

"I am..."

Certain individuals had shared their names just hours prior, but now, their declarations rang with greater gravity.

In roughly ten minutes, every primary and secondary role from Hundred-Person Commander upward completed their introductions.

These intermediate leaders positioned themselves at the forefront of the formation, directly opposite Ye Zhongming.

"Good. Then I will now announce some matters. Jie Kui."

As Ye Zhongming's words concluded, a silhouette gradually stepped forward before him.

The whole Bronze Camp fell into utter silence.

Jie Kui's emergence spot proved intriguing. He stood two paces from Ye Zhongming and roughly five paces from the mid-level officers.

Five paces wasn't distant at all; it felt right next door. Yet, nobody had sensed Jie Kui's presence earlier; no one spotted his arrival.

Should he attempt an ambush...

The outcome could mirror Ye Zhongming's surprise strike on Ka Lan Ka.

"From today on, Jie Kui replaces Leng Jiao as the Third Thousand-Person Commander."

"From today on, all Thousand-Person Commanders enter an assessment period. After the assessment ends, the two most outstanding will be promoted to Deputy Order Leaders."

A ripple of shock coursed through the lower ranks.

This marked an unprecedented move.

To maintain equilibrium in a unit, the Order Leader and Deputy Order Leaders got appointed straight by the clan. In other words, the Order Leader lacked the power to choose deputies independently; at best, they could recommend.

However, Ye Zhongming declared he would pick Deputy Order Leaders from the Thousand-Person Commanders. This stunned everyone.

This authority, naturally, came from the two Clan Leaders' approval.

Star-Eye clansmen pushed themselves to the limit for their race's survival; that was obvious. In their efforts, rewards followed: from regular warrior to squad leader, then Hundred-Person Commander, and onward to Thousand-Person Commander. But beyond Thousand-Person Commander, advancement stalled.

Regardless of their exceptional feats, power balance concerns might block deserved promotions.

Thousand-Person Commanders rarely got chances to interact with the clan's elites; they couldn't predict what lay ahead.

Numerous Thousand-Person Commanders ended up transferred to the superior team upon hitting a strength threshold, reverting to basic warriors.

This contrasted sharply with rising to Deputy Order Leader, securing long-term command, along with matching power and supplies.

Ye Zhongming's open pledge to choose two Thousand-Person Commanders for Deputy Order Leader roles fired up these individuals immensely!

"From today on, once a Thousand-Person Commander is promoted, the vacant position will be filled through competition by the deputy of that unit and outstanding Hundred-Person Commanders. And the vacancies created after filling will continue to be selected from deputies and the next level down."

Earlier, it favored only Thousand-Person Commanders, but now it reached every member.

With two Thousand-Person Commanders surely advancing, short-term shifts in positions became inevitable. This sparked a minor promotion surge.

"From today on, a new squad will be established: the Bronze Assault Camp. This squad will be directly under my command. It will only absorb the most outstanding warriors here. What is the most outstanding warrior? Brave, strong, fearless, loyal, persistent!"

"From today on, the Bronze Assault Camp will be the vanguard of the entire Bronze Camp, its representative. After dismissal, everyone, regardless of current position or rank, can sign up. Then, I will conduct a public selection. The first phase number is tentatively set at one hundred people."

Ye Zhongming glanced over the almost ten-thousand warriors below, his tone easing slightly.

"From today on, members who have reached the strength level of the higher-level team can choose not to go. Such individuals will become the newly established position in the Bronze Camp—Camp Battle Instructor. Their treatment will be equivalent to that of a Thousand-Person Commander."

"From today on, the Bronze Camp will begin to accept some very dangerous missions. People may die at any time. Please write your wills in advance and deposit them with the camp logistics record officer."

"From today on, everyone's salary and benefits will increase by ten percent. In case of disability, the pension will increase by fifty percent. In case of death in battle, the pension will double."

"From today on, a system of elimination of the lowest performers will be implemented. A short-term assessment every ten days, a mid-term assessment every thirty days, and a major assessment every one hundred days. Each assessment will yield corresponding points based on performance. After one major assessment cycle, the last one hundred ranked individuals will be expelled from the team and kept for observation. If they can make significant progress or escape the last one hundred positions in the next major assessment cycle, they will be reinstated and rejoin the team. If they still show no progress and remain at the bottom, they will be cleared out of the Bronze Camp!"

"From today on, three types of honorary medals will be established: Loyalty Grade, Dedication Grade, and Faith Grade, to commend members who have made outstanding contributions in different aspects. The recipients of each type of medal will receive corresponding high rewards."

"From today on, I, Ye Zhongming, officially become the Bronze Order Leader."

"From today on, the Bronze Camp... is no longer the Bronze Camp of the past!"
